Lost in Space (1965)
"Danger Will Robinson, danger"
What can I say, I loved the re runs when I was a kid. I am almost 38 now and I have taped many of the shows, and I watch them once in a while. I know a lot of people have made bad comments about this show, but common it was made in the 60s so hey for back then, it was really cool to think you could go on a space ship and have a cool robot to save you, and fly from one planet to another. I know some of the monsters now look stupid, but when I was a kid I thought WOW! I also have to admit I had a crush on John Robinson, played by the late Guy Williams (who also played Zorro). What a good looking man he was, is too bad they didnt show a little more of him and Maureen (June Lockhart), they made such a pretty couple, would have love to be one of their kids and go up in space with them. What about Dr.Smith (Jonathan Harris)he was something else, rude, lazy, and all he had in mind was getting back to earth no matter what, but I think he was a really good part of this show, and of course who can forget Will (Billy Mumy) and the Robot always on a new adventure ussually thanks to Dr. smith, of course we remember Judy (Marta Kristen), Penney(Angela Cartwright)and Mayor Don West(Mark Goddard) who I thought would make a move on Judy, but I dont think he ever even kissed her, or maybe I dont remember.
All I have to say is that LOST IN SPACE is my first favorite all time sci fi show, of course in the 70s I have to say it is Star Wars! By the way Im a little sad that I moved and we dont get the sci fi channel now, so no more LIS
Bewitched (1964)
What a great show!
When I was a little girl I loved watching Bewitched. It was such a great show and the thought of someone having them powers was so exciting. Like many other people I also liked Jeannie, but not as much as Bewitched. Because Samantha was married and had children, and she seemed so in love with Darrin, she really tried so hard not to use her powers out of love for Darrin, but of course she couldnt help it once in a while, when all of her relatives would always do something to get her or Darrin into trouble specilly Endora, I really liked her. She was such an evil mother in law, but arent they all? ha ha ha. And what about Aunt Clara, the poor thing never got a trick right. And Esmeralda, Dr. Bombay, Cousin Serena, Aunt Hagatha, Maurice, Uncle Arthur was such a clown, and all the others who just pop in and out with out an invitation, is a surprise Darrin didnt run away LOL
All of the actors who played on this show did a great job, for a show that was from the 60s it sure had some great scenes, all that magic it was just so much fun to watch, I think we all wished Samantha was our mom, the things she could have done for us. I am an adult with children who learned to like the show also, and is too bad they took the re runs off the air. Shows like that can go on for ever and you never get tired of watching them. Elizabeth, Dick, Agnes and all the others you will be missed. :(
