Christmas Sail (2021)
Terry O'Quinn!
This felt like a Christmas movie not just a Hallmark Christmas movie. Real good. Terry O'Quinn unreal as usual. Feel good movie. Make sure to catch this one in 2021 holiday season. 8/10 from me. Loved the atmosphere too!
You, Me & the Christmas Trees (2021)
Fun Christmas Flick
Hallmark got lucky w Benjamin Ayres he does look like he's having fun. The movie was a bit goofy at times like how they're literaly coming to tears over Christmas trees and hot cocoa. Over tha top but worth a watch.
Christmas in My Heart (2021)
Ok Christmas Movie
The leads were fine, but dudemans solo at her house was cringe. Movie was okay, but some things were overkill. I'd still recommend it overall. Hallmark knows how to get it done 8/10 times.
Coyote Creek Christmas (2021)
Solid Hallmark Christmas Movie
I dont know what all the fuss is about... Janel Parrish is great and ya tha dude is a robot, but hes always solid. Fun movie great setting! Feel good flick.
The Santa Stakeout (2021)
Fun Christmas Movie
The two leads had chemistry! Both funny. Hallmark stepping it up getting some new big names like Joey Pants! Good side mystery as well. Let the xmas movies begin!
Pretty Little Liars: Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Inferno (2013)
10!
This is the ep where we see Toby in juve wearing a do rag. So this gets a 10.
Invincible: Where I Really Come From (2021)
Unbelievable
So many aspects of this finale made it incredible. The epic scale and scope of it all made it very cinematic. This show, especially in it's final 2 episodes really knocked it out of the park. The voice talents here really keep this animated show ahead of most other animated superhero shows. I cant wait for season 2!
Invincible: We Need to Talk (2021)
Holy Moly!
One of the best things I've watched in a while. A simple episode about a Dad looking to talk to his son... hehe.
Invincible: It's About Time (2021)
Wow!
Love the old school yet new school animation and the voice talent here is insane!
I was super invested w/everything going on and was really getting into the characters. Then... that ending!!!!
Invincible has me absolutely HOOKED. What a perfect start to hopefully an awesome superhero story! BRING IT!
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers: Game On (2021)
The Ducks Are Back!...Kind of
I liked this episode for a lot of different reasons. 1 being the cast seems solid and 2 because Emilio Estevez seems might comfy back in the role of Bombay! He definitely stole the show every scene he was in. Lauren Graham is funny in a ton of different scenes and doesn't come off annoyingly, more sweet than anything else.
It feels like a continuation and I want that to keep up. The ending scene at the Ice Palace ruled btw... can't wait for next week!
WandaVision: The Series Finale (2021)
Bit of a letdown
Woah I went into this w/HUGE expectations, and boy were those expectations not met. If you go into this finale w/not so much hype its actually a pretty entertaining episode and piece of MCU storytelling w/some great effects and performances.
Why do I feel like I could've written a better finale?
For one, Feige said that Wandavision, Spiderman 3 and Doctor Strange 2 are sort of a trilogy of sorts...how? I mean I kind of get how it couldddd tie into Strange, but not in a big bad way like I thought. Agatha mentioned the "sorcerer supreme" and she did let us know that the book is the Darkhold, but again.... bleh.
Literally zero multiverse talk, or tease... HUGELY disappointing. And that Evan Peters reveal...so insanely dumb.
No big cameos and all in all it was just a crazy freak out by Wanda... oh and White Vision...thanks for coming????
The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (2020)
The Best Episode of The Entire Series
This was Star Wars perfection! From the opening moments to the post credits scene. My goodness! If you're a Star Wars fan there's no reason you dont love this episode. I had tears in my eyes the final 8 minutes or so. Incredible job! And props to Peyton Reed on his directing!!!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 10: The Passenger (2020)
Mandalorian and the Chamber of Secrets
This episode wasn't nearly as good as last weeks, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun. Still alott of good here and I enjoyed the little Peyton Reed nod to Ant Man. The ending sequence for the most part was intense and edge of your seat type stuff... oh and baby Yoda... wtf man?
The Mandalorian: Chapter 9: The Marshal (2020)
Timothy Olyphant: A Star Wars Story
Great way to start off the second season! I loved almost everything about this episode especially the opening scene. Lots of badass moments in this one and can we talk about Olyphant clearly looking like he won a contest to be in Star Wars?! He was awesome and he seemed to be having a BLAST. Oh and that ending was epically GIGANTIC Star Wars news that people have been pondering for quite a while. Amazing stuff and super excited for the next 7 weeks!
Rebecca (2020)
Great acting, but 20 mins too long...
Lily James once again proves that she is 1 of the best young talents we have acting out there today. Armie Hammer also turns in a fine performance, but also aggravates at times. The story is slow and the cinematography is BEAUTIFUL. Overall it was fine... just go into it knowing it moves slowly. It felt like 3 different movies in one. Worth the watch for the acting alone though.
Hubie Halloween (2020)
Actually pretty good!
By the looks of the trailer, Hubie Halloween did not look like it was going to be ANY good. I wanted to watch it because it was filmed near where I live and I love Salem, MA. I didn't expect much, but by the end of it Hubie Halloween really surprised me. Once you get over Sandler's voice (which isn't that bad) and the fact that the townspeople are awful lol, this movie actually is a decent story. It surprised me a few times and though it took a bit to get going, I found myself cracking up at some of the jokes. The ending got me as I was thinking it was going in other more complicated directions and all of the actors were fine (especially Buscemi who steals the show here!) give Hubie a chance and it may just end up on your yearly Halloween list.
Return to Halloweentown (2006)
Best attempt in the franchise!
This is the best overall story and attempt at making a quality movie in the Halloweentown franchise. I would've given this a 7 or so if Kimberly J Brown reprised her role, but for some strange reason, Disney had other plans. Sara Paxton was fine... but why? Also, the background sound effects are effing hysterical.
Hocus Pocus (1993)
A Halloween Classic!
This is at least a once a year re-watch for me. Okay fine... three times a year. Filmed around historic Salem, MA, this flick gives you those feelings of nostalgia throughout the entire thing. Bette Middler crushes obviously and to be honest, all of the other actors do their best in this one. Nothing but fun here, and just recently got to see it on the big screen since Covid is making it tough for new movies to come out. Hocus Pocus puts a big smile on my face everytime I see it and really it just gets better with age. Here's hoping we get that sequel.
