I have worked in film and television as a producer and editor for many years.
I just finished four season of "The Apprentice" (my ninth series for Mark Burnett Prods.). My background covers thatrical, documentary, montage and marketing materialls, as well as reality televsion.
I prefer content driven material with something to say, and material that makes people think about things in new ways. And yes, it all has to be entertaining too. I don't live for ratings, but beacuse of them. I believe audiences constantly hunger for something new and challenging (within reason) and they always "get it" when I try to push them a bit.

In Gold We Trust (1990)
American mercenaries try to recover gold before the rebels do.
This movie was originally conceived and written by Thai producers. An American producer kicked in some financing to upgrade the cast. The script did not change, so the bones of the film are pretty ridiculous but the military effects are quite good, as is the cinematography. Of particular note is the crisper editing done for the American version and the score, which musically distinguishes between three ethnically diverse elements, Thai soldiers, ethnic Hmong and American mercenaries. A fine Hollywood gloss was put on a foreign exploitation film.
