Off the Air (2011)
A psychedelic, surreal and horrific experience but an awesome show
This adult swim animated/live-action series "Off The Air" (inspired by "Liquid TV") focuses on various erratic, sometimes calming but almost always trippy shorts and animations based off of a one worded theme (color, light, space and liquid) and the show also is a platform for various animators, short filmmakers and music artists such as Cryiak, David Firth (" Salad Fingers" fame), David Lewandowski, Clowncore, Alan Rensick, Jake Fried, Chad VanGlaeen and Masanobu Hiroka etc. As I said in the tagline some of the clips can be either weird/bizarre and psychedelic or creepy and sometimes scary short films (namely Body, Nightmares, Death, Holes & Clowns) but overall it's a pretty relaxing and amazing experience of a show especially for various 7-15 short films in a eleven minute compilation based off a one worded theme. If you are a fan of "Liquid TV" then you will definitely enjoy it or enjoy some of it if youre not a fan of unsettling or horrific stuff.
Jackass: The Movie (2002)
An decent, funny, unique and yet disgusting reality film
This film is like an extended version of the "Jackass" tv show except more edgier and more dirtier. With uncesnored profanity and full frontal nudity being shown/heard for the first time. The film contains a bit more wilder pranks, and more extreme stunts, well as gross out stunts, and skateboarding. The film is really funny and unique like the tv show on MTV. But except two things:
1. The quality looks like its from a low budget skate video
2. Some hard to watch moments such as "Butt X-ray" stunt. In which Ryan Dunn (one of the cast members) puts an toy car up his butt with a condom inside the car. As he poops it out during the credits which is kinda disgusting/disturbing.
But otherwise an good, funny, and creative stunt film.
Jackass (2000)
gross yet funny, unique and imature reality prank show
In this reality show. Skateboarders and pranksters johnny knoxville, steve-o, bam margera, chris pontius, wee man and ryan dunn peform outrageous stunts and pull pranks on each other. A blend of pranks, stunts and also skateboarding. The cast members are really hilarious, and sometimes bad ass with there stunts. Also the show was based off of a skateboarding magazine and videos called "Big Brother". And while this is all great some stunts are a bit too gross for my taste such as "Cow Poo" and "The Omelette". But otherwise a good reality series mixed with stunts and pranks pulled on each other in a style of an skateboard video.
