Lacking and lackluster
30 January 2023
This film left us with no hope. I was bored out of my mind and was hoping it would at the very least inspire me and my students. After using several beautiful mental health films in our curriculum, I was extremely disappointed at the absolute lackluster and less than mediocre quality of the film - both with regard to content and to production. I expected more from Ken Burns.

There were several irrelevant scenes and it was slow and bland. This film felt more like a public service announcement (PSA). It doesn't move the viewer as a film about this particular topic should. Instead it is completely devoid of hope and inspiration.

This film saved my son's life!
5 January 2023
This film is not just the most inspirational for staying alive - it actually saves lives! .It saved my son's life just last night. It opened dialogue that we would not otherwise have had.

Thank you, Kevin, for being brave enough to make this film. I cannot imagine how many lives you have saved just by sharing your story and the way with which you share you story. We need more content like in the world.

The film is also beautifully done. The music and imagery are haunting and stunning. Everyone should see this film!

This is bar none - the best film on mental health and suicide prevention.

KEVIN HINES is a legend!
