Why the f@ck did I just watch
17 February 2023
I can't help but wonder what Alexander Skarsgård was thinking when he signed up for this film. Gratuitous nudity and confusion abound as this film begins to spin its web of excitement and uncertainty. You are never left with enough clarity on what is truly happening to fully get involved. It sucks you in with its bizarre depravity, which did manage to keep me hanging on to the end. Definitely another movie where the rich are able to get away with anything just to fulfill their need for excitement and pleasure. It's a wild trip but it lacked the substance to pull together into something cohesive enough to enjoy. Skarsgård could have chosen better than this.

The Sandman (2022– )
10/10
A beautiful adaptation of Neil Gaiman's masterpiece
9 January 2023
I read Neil Gaiman's Sandman many years ago. Whether you are familiar with the written works or not you can still enjoy this series. Beautiful, exotic, and strange landscapes and characters leave you wanting to see more. The actor who plays Morpheus "Dream" has the perfect look and his acting is on point. I love watching how everyone's stories intertwine and overlap. The story shows what happens when the dream world is abandoned and what the consequences are. The timeline crosses with Constantine and though it isn't mentioned due to copyrights not carrying over from book to tv. The villain John D "Dr. Destiny" is in Arkham Prison for the Clinically Insane. The Lucifer from the show Lucifer is the same Lucifer in the sandman, just different actor but same universe. There is a bonus episode with short stories so make sure you check it out if you love the series. ~KW.

Still one of my favorite Jack Nicholson roles
8 January 2023
I watched this movie for the first time this year. I wasn't sure what to expect or if I'd like it. I watched it twice to truly digest the film. In the movie Jack Nicholson is sent from jail to a mental hospital for evaluation due to his rebellious stubborn ways. Though his personality can be rather crass and he does like to break rules and make mischief he just wants to enjoy life and help the other mental patients to have fun. This film reminds us of the power psychiatrist wielded then and even now. They decided what happens to you and when you get out. I thought this film did a great job of showing the traumas that people in mental hospitals have experienced in the past and here in the present. This movie invoked happiness, laughter, anger, and sorrow. Its a great ride I recommend anyone take.~KW.

Supernatural (2005–2020)

Once you start watching Supernatural becomes part of your life
8 January 2023
Warning! Don't start this show if you aren't looking for a new obsession in your life. It doesn't take long and bam! You are 6 seasons in. This show will build up your feels and then run you through the emotional wringer all while being a supernatural action series. The description will tell you its about 2 brothers hunting monsters and saving people, but it becomes so much more. You really get to see Jared and Jensen grow up over 15 seasons. Their acting matures and they really grow into the roles is Sam and Dean. When Misha Collins enters as the Angel Castiel the show gets even better. The dynamic between him and Sam and Dean is great. Can't even begin to share the amazing actors from the series. Shout out to all the supporting actors that helped make this series epic; Mark Shepherd, Richard Speight Jr, Jim Beaver, Sebastian Roche, Ruth Connel, Mark Pellegrino, Felicia Day and Alexander Calvert. I could go on and on. Kripke really created something magical here. Supernatural has woven it's self into our hearts.

Also as far as Destiel goes, I will go down with that ship. Dean <3 Castiel.

Stranger Danger (2010 Video)
10/10
Short, sweet, wicked, and dangerous
8 January 2023
Stranger Danger is short, sweet, and wicked. Just a short slice of horror. This film may only be a few minutes long but it's well directed and the actors are on point. Stranger danger is a twisted and disturbing tale. The pacing of the story is simple and flows nicely. Like any fable or classic story there is definitely a moral to the to be found. Beware of strangers, you never know who someone really is. Things are not always what the seem and if Supernatural has taught us anything, it's that monsters can lurk in the most unlikely places. Enjoy the film and remember don't talk to strangers.~KW.

The Crux (2004)

You have to be able to understand the metaphor to enjoy this
8 January 2023
You have to be able to understand the metaphor to enjoy this film. This short is not to be taken literally. It's about your mental health and setting boundaries. Sometimes we think its out job to save people but it's not. I know that can be hard to hear but it's true. We can be there but a person has to choose to save themselves. There are people who come into our lives and make us feel responsible for them but if they won't take your hand they have already made their choice. The Crux uses metaphor to explore these things. Misha Collins plays the part perfectly. It's short but I'm glad this film was made.

Wednesday (2022– )

I was excited for this show but felt let down
8 January 2023
I was excited for Wednesday but felt really let down by this series adaptation. Don't get me wrong Jenna Ortega plays the part perfectly. There isn't a better actress to fill Ricci's shoes. Still the show had a Harry Potter/ Sabrina/ Monster High feel to it. I don't mind campy but it was a bit much. Poor casting for Gomez hurt the epic romance of Morticia and Gomez. I almost wish they wouldn't have been included. Jenna Ortega Was the only solid casting and the acting in the show is somewhat lacking. It seems like this series is made to cater to kids and teens. Wednesday just doesn't live up to the hype.

A sequel that doesn't let you down
8 January 2023
I'm a big fan of the Addams family franchise and I thought they sequel was fun and quirky. While not as great as the original it's got the same feel and has all the things that you love about the Addams family. The cast makes all the difference. No one could play the parts better than the actors/actresses. Morticia and Gomez's romance is epic and never has there ever been a better actress to play Wednesday. This film may be from the 90's but it holds up over time. No remakes are needed when a movie is already a classic. If you are new to watching the Addams family movies from the 90's, you should definitely give them a shot. You won't be disappointed.
