Sarkar Raj (2008)
10/10
superb movie
10 June 2008
SARKAR RAJ has been filmed exceptionally well too. In fact, SARKAR RAJ has the trademark RGV stamp in every sequence. The review would be incomplete without giving the due credit to writer Prashant Pandey is incredible and almost flawless script. Amar Mohiles background score is topnotch. The by-now-famous 'Govinda' chant in the background only enhances the impact. Amit Roy s cinematography is exceptional. The DoP succeeds in giving the film the raw-n-rustic look, which works very well. Action, in minimal doses, is perfect.

its embellished with superb performances! Amitabh Bachchan, expectedly, comes up with a terrific performance. He is as ferocious as a wounded tiger in the finale and takes the film to great heights. First YUVA, then GURU, now SARKAR RAJ. Abhishek Bachchan is cast opposite the finest actor of this country, yet he sparkles in every sequence. This time, the father and son go neck to neck as far as acting honors go. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is fabulous and delivers her career-best performance in SARKAR RAJ. Enough has been written about her looks, but not much space has been devoted to her performances. HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM, DEVDAS, PROVOKED, GURU, JODHAA AKBAR and now SARKAR RAJ - she's only got better with every film. On the whole, SARKAR RAJ is an exceptional film in all respects

Jodhaa Akbar (2008)
10/10
great cinematic experience
21 February 2008
Greatest movie ever seen on the big screen!!The performances are nothing short of fantastic .Hrithik Roshan becomes Akbar and not once do you feel you are watching Hrithik on the screen. He is beyond brilliant and carries the film on his broad shoulders throughout. The way he emotes and delivers his lines shows that he is a super performer. This easily has to rank as the best performance of his career.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan matches Hrithik and delivers a wonderful performance as well. she looks ethereal — a compliment she has heard a trillion times before. What's new in that? But watch her emote in this film. Although she does not have as many lines to deliver or have as much screen time, she still makes you sit up and take notice of her through her extremely expressive eyes. She emotes superbly with them and it only enhances her performance. This will go down as one of her career best performances. Also, the Hrithik and Aishwarya chemistry is as flawless as ever. They sizzle every scene they are in together.

My advice to the audience is to not miss Jodhaa Akbar because doing so would be a huge mistake. It is a masterpiece and a definite must see. Don't miss it!

Guru (2007)
10/10
a story of greatness achieved
13 August 2007
Guru is a story of a great man in the corporate world of India! His ups and downs in his life span! It was clearly acted by bollywood finest cast actors: Abhishek Bachan, Aishwarya Rai, Mithun, Vidya Balan and Madhavan. A fantastic film! Great material from India in a long time now!

When it comes to the actors, Abhishek play the role of his lifetime, to describe in one word: BRILLIANT! He has really matured in his acting skills! Aishwarya Rai plays the supporting wife! Her performance is actually effortless! She suited well playing an ambitious simple village girl (it didn't hurt that she was damn gorgeous!).Other actors who impressed me were Mithun and Vidya balan, good in there own right. Mani ratman who is a great director didn't disappoint this time by extracting great performances and making a memorable movie with great tracks too from A.Rahman. Mine personal favorite was tere bina, which is centralized on one of the most celebrated couples in India. A great movie with great performances! A must see by all!

Loved the new input of umbridge and the lovely Luna love good .Daniel Radcliffe progressively improves and shows maturity in his acting skills! The special effects were breath taking! Especially kreacher was genius! The end dueling was very stunning! Couldn't ask for better myself! I was very impressed by the entire movie and can't wait to for the next installment! A must see for all fans! Simply brilliant!!!!!two huge thumbs up from me!
