Champions (2023)
Champions of the heart
Great job by all the cast. Refreshing to see the massive talent of the abled actors who portrayed the basketball players. Their personalities were well represented.
Great film and it's not getting the attention it deserves because of the huge elephant in the room. I absolutely am on board with Woody Harrelson, his performance was tremendous, he had heart and it's felt by all of us.
The elephant was the snl opening monologue. I may or may not agree with him, I appreciate the honesty and bluntness. We're too touchy in one sense and explosive in another. Bravo to him for calling things as he sees them. Prefer that to all the p'$$y footing around of late.
Bottom line it is a great film with diversity of strong young humans who express themselves in a great manner. Thank you for this film Bobby Farrelly I give this a huge recommendation.
Doctor Strange (2016)
Gotta see it
Being into comics since being a kid Dr Strange was my go to. Something magical and this rendition did not let me down. Felt the boy excitement watching the story unfold. Stronghold of emotions erupted with this version. THIS one great concepts, loved the CGI. It's like they reached into my mind and made it all come to life on the screen. CUMBERBATCH is great in this role. His ego taking a crash and then coming back better than ever.
Fantasy and imagination coming to the fore in a color full way. Escapism at its best. Being able to crawl out of the despair and elevate in a better way, much better than he ever imagined. Totally recommend.
Sophie's Rules (2023)
Life lessons
This film advocates all that stand for in life. I didn't expect to end up cryin at the end of it the way I did. A part of me cried because I wish I had somebody to help me through my ptsd and my alcoholic trembles amd black outs and difficult times when I thought I am alone. Somebody to talk to when I lost everything. I struggle to this day I am 266 days sober. The film showed harsh realities in a hard world. Ups and downs can happen. One day smiling next day down in the dumps. Sophie needs rules that end up broken and keep them. Harsh realities is so many homeless who don't have a chance. Die in the cold no food no roof to sleep under. Beautiful film loss is real.
