The Simpsons (1989)
it is and will always be a classic
the simpsons rules ! i do not think it is getting any worse. each time i watch it, i laugh until i cry !
in fact i think it's getting better and better. you people will realize in the next few years that the episodes produced nowadays, will be classics also.
the simpsons universe seems to have an endless potential ! i`m always discovering new funny aspects about the various simpsons characters !
the writers are doing quite well i think, i think the simpsons is still the most refreshing show on TV.
i have seen some unfunny episodes from time to time, in fact almost without an exeption, each one of the 15 seasons appear to have one or two unfunny episodes. But no way they are getting to be more abundant lately ....
i hope this show never ends.
Moonwalker (1988)
Not a movie really, but worth taking a look
It is very ridiculous that they have tried to force this flick into having a plot. I mean the bit in the middle with Joe Pesci as the bad guy, and Michael Jackson as the hero, is so absurd.
But the collection of video clips, live performances, and montages is great ! good music for sure !
I like the fact that in the F.X. shots, so many different techniques are used. Some look really unsophisticated. But others are just so great (even by today´s standards, remember this is a 16 year old movie)... i mean the sequence were M.J. turns himself into some kind of robot, and then into some sort of spaceship is breathtaking.
I also like M.J.'s version of "come together" (Beatles original)

Mac and Me (1988)
at least there's no sequel
uffff! awful flick
it's so obviously an E.T. knockoff, and sponsored by McDonal's....i mean, there are so many scenes involving McDonald's, but not happy with that they even called the stupid-looking-ridiculously-poor-made alien MAC !
it is so pathetic, when this garbage ends (alien family riding in a car), it is clearly stated that there would be a sequel (message written in the bubble gum balloon sticking out of one of the idiotic aliens)
But, to our relief, the sequel never got produced (one of the rare instances in which Hollywood creative brains have seemed to show a bit of respect for the audience)
Prison Planet (1992)
pure crap
i just saw this piece of nonsense garbage on TV a while ago.... I mean i did not watch it really, the TV was on, while i was doing something else.
It sucks, i think i have seen at most one or two other movies worse than this.
and this one was not even funny, which tends to be the case with these type of futuristic-incredibly low budget movies.
Don't even think of wasting your money or time renting this, it stinks. each one of the characters are so forgettable, and the acting is like taken out of some school play.
Le pacte des loups (2001)
well produced garbage
at the moment of writing this review, i have not yet finished watching the movie .....
But i hate already. Nothing really makes sense in this ridiculous flick. there are too many sequences that could have been left out.
the scenes involving the "wolf" are so few, and they are so phony.... i would not recommend this one.
