Reality check
9 May 2020
A group of friends reunite again after the death of one of their. Many people can be seen reflected because this really occurs in real life. I definitely see myself in the situations that occur in the story.

It is a good comedy about normal dramatic events. A bit of mystery is also shown in the film, making the protagonists nervous. The news happens quickly in the reunion. I really liked it, the story flows as this news happen.

The actors are very well known in Spain. They are fantastic in the film.

I have found the film more profound that it seems.

Slow and long
1 May 2020
The story is set in Spanish Civil War time. A man is trying to escape from Nationalists in a village in Andalusia. His strategy is to hide. In the town there are doubts about where he is hidden, people suspect. Not only Higinio suffers his persecution, but his wife, Rosa, has to face many difficult moments. The setting of that time is perfect, also clothing and language. It is slow and long. It lacks emotion and intensity. 147 minutes are excessive for the story itself.

Different
13 April 2020
It is about two co-workers in a lighthouse while they are in their four weeks shift. The two workers are an experience one (Thomas) and a young man (Ephraim). Soon, Ephraim starts to suffer from the work, the isolation of the place, Thomas's treatment and hallucinations. It is recorded in an old form (1.19:1, black and white image format) and the speech of both characters is rude, which sometimes makes the dialogues difficult to understand. In my opinion is a weird film.

Too long
10 April 2020
It is a very action film in which duty is questioned above friendship and loyalty. John Wick is alone facing a fight because he broke the rules dictated by the High Table. He seeks for help in the friends he can trust while the Excommunicado order is effective. John puts his and his friends' lifes in danger trying to survive his search. Rules and consequences. Too long for the story itself.

Based on true events

Warning: Spoilers
Based on true events, the film is about the story of a certain case in which a notable attorney, who work for a big company, decide to help a farmer. Bilott sues a very big chemical company, DuPont. Only his perseverance allow him to success. A fight that endangers his health. There is a scary reality about the film: The claim that is it believed that PFOA is presented in the blood of the 99% of humans. This is very frightening and worrying. The acting of Mark Ruffalo is simply impressive.
