I was born Borderline intellectually Challenged. Although I was in Special Ed most of my School years; High School I was in what they call “Basic classes”. In school I was made fun of just because I am a little slower than others might be. Just get to know others that are different. You don’t know what you might find.
I've been involved in the Special Olympics for more than twenty years as an athlete & I volunteer too. My sports are bowling, long-distance walking & swimming. In the past I have participated in Equestrian, Golf, and Track & Field. But I would rather stick to Swimming.
I went to the 1999 Special Olympics World Summer Games in North Carolina and I participating in swimming. Arnold Schwarzenegger even went through the whole pool and shook everyone’s hand.
Special Olympics has been good for me. I believe you win no matter if you win or lose. Most athletes don't know any better. Some just want to get 1st place all the time. Some just like the fun, being around friends, or both. I compete in swimming to try and get my time down. Swimming is good for the whole body and its good fitness.
So many of us don't know what to say to others that are different and I am one of them; I was just born Borderline intellectually Challenged where the worse case is Severely Intellectually Challenged. We just want to be like others no matter how intellectually challenged we are.
You can find me setting up movie dates with my Special Olympics friends & sometimes we go out to eat afterwards. Friends & family are what I live for. I am someone that likes to have fun.
I expected others to treat me just the same as they would treat their friends. I am learning what others learn in life. Leaning toward God sometimes I hope will lead me down the right path someday. Life isn't easy for those like me. I want to be understood from the inside out. I like to look at the stars. I am just trying to find my way in the world, who I want to be and what I want in life.

Ever since I started grade school, I just wanted to be like all the other kids. I am, but I am still special in a good way. So, next time you see someone that is different to you, say hi.
You can find me reading so I don't get board. I will try anything once. My friends tell me I can be goofy at times.
I can almost answer any questions about Special Olympics if you have any.
I was in Masters Swimming (for throes that are 18 and over). In the past I have tried out for the Paralympics Swimming Time Trials in 1996 and 2000.
I am in Aktion Club (a community-service group for adult citizens who live with a disability), The Arc helps those with developmental disabilities), ALPs (Athlete Leadership Program) [within Special Olympics allows athletes to explore opportunities for participation in roles previously considered “non-traditional.” Through ALPs, athletes serve on Boards of Directors or local organizing committees. Athletes excel as spokespersons, team captains, coaches and officials.]
R is for RESPECT. Not the other r word.

Tierra Incógnita (2022)
Very good until season 2
Find known season 2 would only be in Spanish I wouldn't have started watching this. It's very hard for me to follow subtitles. I would have to pause it like every time they speak. But all in all the series is good. I don't really like horror movies but this is not that scary. I just don't like the fact that season 2 is not in English. If there's going to be a season 3 please make an option to have it in English. I would rate it at 10 otherwise. I want to learn Spanish but this is not the way to do it.
I have to say something else so this is it. The date is September 13th at 6 and I am wanting to set up not a banquet but the celebration after covid is.
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993)
Very good family show
I've been trying to find where I can by this series. Love the show and all the meanings it has. Tired of them third-party sellers on Amazon. But the whole set comes in a like cardboard box. Also where the DVDs are stored in, they get scratched easy. I'm trying one from eBay but it's the same thing in this might be scratched too. I love this series it's very good.

All Athletes should see this
I am a Special Olympics athlete in Indiana and love this movie. It's the only movie that was cleared to go from Special Olympics Inc. Unlike "Tropic Thunder" which made fun of blacks and though with disabilities. I rented it from the library, which I would not pay to see at all. In one scene they used the r-word 10 to 15 times. It's "respect" not "retarded". I and others might be slower than you. But that only means others need to change their way of thinking around with intellectual disabilities. Those are real athletes playing in the movie too. For those like me it takes real guts to even do something like this. If I had the chance to I would take it. I want to write a book about those like us someday. I have been writing poems, though. Thank You.
