Triangle of Sadness (2022)
Fun. thought provoking. and gross. in all the best ways possible.
Art is subjective. I get that. But I'm kinda over seeing people calling movies that have a more peculiar and artistic vision "pretentious" or a "borefest".
Im not giving this movie a 10 cause there are some minor things that could have been better. But all in all, this is a fun ride. It doesnt really take itself too seriously but still it has some very interesting ideas and thought provoking scenes that will make you think about how society works and how things can easly be reversed if the context changes.
I personally ADORED this movie.
The ending is kinda ambiguous but i feel like I know how things really went.
Oh and i laughed out loud so many times. Which is rare for me.
Insidious: The Red Door (2023)
A return to form
I wasnt the biggest fan of the fourth one honestly and 3 was ok at best, so I can tell you i was pleasantly surprised with this one. It has its own personality. The lack of original factors, in the scare departments, prevents this from being a 10, but i still loved it. All the great characters AND villains from the first 2 movies are here.
I also like that it deals with the psychological consequences of the first 2 movies. So dont listen to the haters, if you are a fan of this franchise you will love this one!
(There is one particular scene that was REALLY effective and scary and claustrophobic
You ll know when you see it. The whole audience was scared, i loved it)
