The visuals are incredibly good for such a low budget.
I heard it was shot on a really small camera that allowed for real shots on location, so the set designers really did some incredible work here.
The CGI is stunning, everything feels real as your watching it and there's only a few minor errors.
Some of the acting was good, but other charecters I thought did poorly, most notably Cotton, but other than that the acting was decent.
But other than that, I don't have a lot of postives to say.
The story is passable at best, it's convulted and you can tell that video essayists are going have to a godamn field day with this, "THE STORY OF THE CREATOR EXPLAINED IN ONLY 17 HOURS" because it is seriously that convulted. Not to mention how most of it is insanely predictable and or plain stupid.
The logic in this movie is nuts, why doesn't anybody appreciate the fact that L. A. got nuked? Why does a robot age? HOW does it age? Not to mention how the robots are basically humans with metal. This movie could've been written with humans nuking AI and Alphie is a human, and it would be the same.
Some parts of the movie feel rushed, and or could've been delivered better.
Other parts feel like they were only created because the writers realized they needed something to set up minor plot elements later.
So yeah, this was just ok, I didn't hate it, but there were certainly a lot of really good and absolutely trash parts.
