I'm going to him what a broken ankle is all about -------- Bums funny !!!
17 November 2002
Humorous collection of Bum stunts and fights, with the Bumhunter{spoof of the Crocidile Hunter) to degrade people who get degraded anyway. Mixed in this reality video is a number of street fights and other altercations, mostly consisting of teenagers. The star of the show is definatly the Bum Rufus, with the help of his sidekick Donald. By far the best editing was when Rufus picks up a mallet and comments on a broken ankle. The only complaint I would have is that there is more of the Teen fighting which gets dry after a while. Would be better if there was more Bum footage. No problem, I guarantee there will be sequels as well as copycat reality Bum video's, which is unfortunatly the direction of today's entertainment world.

Witty crime movie
19 May 2002
A clever crime movie in which a woman seeks to put a mob boss behind bars for killing her brother, who was a cop. Polly gets inside Dominic's circle by posing as Swifty's wife, but when the real Swifty shows up things get interesting, and very unpredictable. Polly's brother was killed for impersonating Swifty, so now she is impersonating Swifty's wife for revenge. An entertaining movie that has humorous points and look out for an unusual place to see a SWATSTICKER, years before Hilter's rise.

Perfect display of America's transformation to gritty tabloid newspapers during the early 20th century.
18 May 2002
This movie was a great reinactment of how newspapers changed their formats from pure journalism to sensationalism just after World War I. Edward G. Robinson, in one of his best unknown roles, starts his own N.Y. tabloid by becoming partners with a gangster who finances everything. The paper crusades against the underworld and soon enough the unholy partners are at conflict. A superp film that gives a better insight of the early newspaper business than "Citizen Kane"(Not saying its better than the Orsen Welles classic).Definatly a high recomendation; insight, drama, love, and guns.

Nothing to go crazy over.
1 May 2002
This flick has Robinson in his vintage character form as a gangster named Cobra, with his cigars and his infamous "Ny'a See". Fingers and Connie play a robbery team thats moving in on Cobra's turf and is forced to hid out from the law, and Cobra. Nothing great about this film that should make one go crazy to see it. The most enjoyable parts in the movie is Robinson doing his ol' mob boss routine where it almost gets humorous.

Bogie still searching for that image, O.K. road to travel.
17 April 2002
Before superstardom Humphrey Bogart took many of these "mugg" parts before exploding on the scene in "High Sierra". In this film Bogart plays a small time hood named Frank Wilson whom is followed by Johnny {aka Leader of the Dead End Kids featured in other early Bogart movies}. Johnny is a teenager heading down the wrong path and gets into big trouble when Frank murders someone at a botched heist job. The real trouble for Johnny is that Frank frames the murder on someone near and dear to Johnny. The two hoods end up in prison after accepting charges on another crime to beat the murder rap. While at Sing Sing prison the guilt starts to get to Johnny and Frank doesn't like it. Will Bogie get away with murder? Not a classic movie by any stretch, but worth checking out, especially Bogart fans.

Black Tuesday (1954)
When they said Robinson outdoes his Little Ceaser and Key Largo, IT WASN'T HYPE !!!
15 April 2002
Edward G. Robinson shows he still could do the gangster role and keep the performances fresh. Unlike the mob bosses Robinson played in

"Little Ceaser", "The Last Gangster", and "Key Largo", the role of Vincent Canelli is more modern and vicious than the typical cigar chewing prohabtion gangster. Canelli and gunman Manning{Peter Graves} await their death sentence with a bunch of other prisoners on death row. Canelli's mob kidnap the daughter of one of the prison guards and

blackmail the guard in helping the death row inmates bust outta the joint!! Canelli needs Manning's money that he stashed away for his final getaway and Manning is just looking for freedom. The story leads

to a moral climatic stand-off with escaped killers vs. the police. The soul-less Canelli shows how low killers will go to survive. Great performance by Robinson and Graves, especially Robinson who plays a

gangster ahead of those times. It's sad that not enough people know about this movie. If your any type of gangster, suspense, or just a Eddie G. fan, GET YOUR HANDS ON A COPY OF THIS FILM... NYA'SEE!!!!!
