American centered popular garbage
14 August 2019
Einstein was credited for inventing obsolete type of refrigerator, while Tesla was not mentioned at all. But there are whole stories about the guys who invented parking meter, nicotine patch and taser. These kind of shows encourage cheap capitalist entrepreneurship on expense of real scientific progress!

Well shaped, colorful "Alan Ford"-like characters. Good story. Die-laughing humor!
25 May 2009
I went to the cinema with two of my friends, and picked this movie out of hat, totally not knowing what to expect. And it turn out into a very enjoyable, die-laughing experience! It's an excellent movie with very unexpected story, very good dialogs and crazy humor. All characters are obviously made in "Alan Ford" (italian satiric comic) style, but that haven't bothered me for a second. In fact this kind of loser-bums line-up made a movie quite unique and interesting. Sam Rockwell gave very good and convincing role, Willian Macy too, Clooney is hardly recognizable and brilliant. But real star is actually Guzman. He made a role of his life in this movie! The scene when his character Cosimo dies in the movie, is so hilarious that it made me choke and almost die with him! Highly recommended for all "Alan Ford" fans!

Vratice se rode (2007–2008)

Very modern, well written, authentically Serbian comedy/drama.
8 November 2008
What amazes me the most about this series is how realistically and truly main characters are presented. Dialogs and communication is so well written/done, that if I try to find a better words for anything said in this series - it just doesn't come up. Djuricko and Bjelogrlic are just perfect, and Todorovic has just outplayed himself. And Pejakovic (writer) has proved himself to be even better writer then actor (he's one of my favorites). I can watch these dialogs over and over again, and every time to get happy and excited with simplicity and in same time depth / heaviness of every simple sentence. Very good writing and acting!

Only minus (besides some week side roles), from my point, is ending.. It's a bit too sweet get-together happy end. Well, for my taste at least, it just doesn't sits together with rest of show.

Worst movie ever made in Serbia!
7 January 2008
What a boring pathetic crap!! I'm sorry there are no negative stars on this scale - it would be -10! Worst Serbian movie ever made and disgrace for Serbian cinematography. Actually I rather not call 'Serbian' at all, cause it's not! Lousy attempt of few boring mediocre amateurs to make romantic western melodrama in Belgrade. And they couldn't even make that... pathetic! Actors are catastrophic, boring, unconvincing, simply - faceless! Empty quasi-intellectual phrases that come from their mouths are nothing close to common Serbian language. Well certainly not from their mouths... But of course the most the 'credits' go to writer and director. I still can't believe that both for them are man?! What other message I could have for them then: change the job or change the country!!!

Shut Up You Ungrateful Midgets!
23 April 2005
Only thing what spoils my feeling about this movie is bunch of ungrateful midgets constantly spitting on it. To avoid any misunderstanding I've watched first part once again and now I can seriously ask - what are you talking about?? I can sadly notice that most of people in ex-Yugoslavia decides to live in past. Losers! First part which was made in 1991 was probably the last breath of our old culture, before the war started and country broke apart. Well either you want to admit it or not, but that happened, so what's a point of living in the past, listening crappie disco music from 80-ties, unconditionally glorifying everything from 'old times' and in same time denying that lives goes one and new things come with it? From my point of view, Dragojevic made everything best with this movie, still working in heavy conditions as are today in Serbia. To remind you one thing - this is a teenage comedy, so relax and enjoy it instead of keeping a daily crap inside your heads and criticizing everything. If Dragojevic haven't paid 'debt to his country' with his two previous movies, then I seriously don't know who did? I'm really sick of listening this same crap every time I go home from people who have least right to say anything. So if you can't, shut up and let the others enjoy it!

----

About 'UnlimitedPower' comment: Who ever said the film is 'great'?? I'm just pointing that most of the people in Serbia see the other people's work (and whole universe) - black and white! Or bad and good, from their own very personal point of view.

As from my point of view, all three parts of this sequel are unpretentious easy entertainment, and if you take them as that, than you can equally enjoy all three parts. And calling some of them 'masterpiece' and other 'total crap' is really ridiculous... and typically Serbian. I've always seen Dragojevic as one of movie makers that made me proud of being Serb myself. Unlike those who are complaining, blaming and condemning him now, and if he scores 'three points' for Serbia (maybe with 'St. George Shoots the Dragon'?) - then he's gonna have his 'Happy Hour'. It's just adolescent way of thinking of one entire nation.

Hard Kicking Masterpiece!
28 April 2002
This movie leaves bitter taste in my mouth and soul, like nothing else I've ever seen. This is the story of one whole generation, a kids just few years younger then me (1972), who have grown up in time and place where most of values ware lost. This is a story of one entire nation (my people) falling down to the very bottom and staying there until they lost all their hopes. This is the story about the little people behind the war and politics, as never spoken so far, since it never happened to You. And finally, this is the story about the fifteen year old boys who's biggest chance in the life was to become a criminals... and they took that chance, never regarding for it.

Real picture of War, if You wanna see it?
28 April 2002
As a man who was participating this conflict and I can only say that this movie more realistically pictures the war in Bosnia, then any other ever. Every time I watch this movie, it makes my heart beats so strong like I'm there again and revives all the memories forgotten long time ago. The whole story try's to explain this conflict from very essence of our people, covering various aspects of how different people have got involved in this war. Off course I can't really say that 'explanation' really exists, but if it does this is the place to start from. There are some exaggerated moments, but they are so rhythmically composed, that whole picture at the end becomes very strong and logical.

I believe many viewers won't be able to accept this story, but that's their problem, I guess... For those who are openminded, not prejudiced and ready to see the other side of medal (whatever it might be!), this can be a masterclass lesson not only about the war, but about the hidden human nature, that most of people never have a 'chance' to find in themselves, but it undoubtfully exists in each of us!

For people who liked this movie, I can even more recommend other Dragojevic's masterpiece - 'Rane' ('Wounds'), which is not a typical war movie, but from other side of view gives story never spoken so far.

Masterpiece and Cult movie!
28 April 2002
I guess there is no any younger Serb who does not know at least one sentence from this movie. This movie is simply the cult. Dialogs and acting are so great that many phrases from this movie are already became part of modern serbian language.

Kovacevic's script is even better then original play. He and that entire generation of actors and moviemakers, have influenced our lives and perception so greatly. The movie is also very educational, it pictures time and mentality of small serbian town during 1930's, better then any other movie.

And finally whole story just never fades away: five generations of Topalovic's are 'crying' because their oldest member and founder of their funeral company, 156 year old Pantelija, has died...

I just worship this movie!

Worst racists propaganda, I've ever seen.
24 April 2002
I had a big problem following this 'movie' - I couldn't understand what they were speaking! Not in English, but in Serbian, and that's a bit weird since that's my mother tongue. So since authors ware not able to find few Serbs to play the main roles, I guess that tells you something about this crap, I mean 'movie'. This 'movie' is equally shameful for Serbs, Croats and Bosnian Muslims, and not to speak that is a literary spit to thousands of victims fallen in this war. And most of all this is disgrace for those who made it and those who can swallow this 'ramboistic masterpiece'.

I'm only sorry that I was not there to 'welcome' Lt. Burnett (main 'rambo-pilot-superman'), personally. But in that case this would be 5 minutes short documentary, instead of 105 minutes long fairy tale.
