Watch It Some Other Day
7 June 2004
Die Another Day is almost like watching a parody of a Bond movie. The script and action is driven to the limit that you think your are watching a Zuckerman production.

Clearly the director must have thought that the ingredients for a Bond movie is explosions, gadgets, one liners and then multiplied that with 10. Not all but most Bond movies used to have a script suited for a spy movie. Die Another Day has a script suited for a Lethal Weapon movie or any movie of that kind.

If you are a Bond fan you will certainly need more than one vodka martini to get thru this movie :)

Full of laughs and great music
21 August 2002
Simply a great movie. I have watched it about 20 times by now and my friends usually put it on when they visit. It also has great eurodance music from the early 90s so you can even have the movie rolling in the background.

But I think this movie is mostly appreciated by us who were out clubbing a lot during the 90s. You recognize the great music, queuing to the coolest club and maybe even some more embarrassing things from the movie. To me, Blues Brothers and Wayne's World wasn't funny at all. On the other hand I wasn't "clubbing" to blues in 1980 and doesn't like heavy metal from the 80s.

A Night At The Roxbury is a very funny movie with great music for the ones that wasn't sitting at home in the weekends during the 90s :)

Nowhere to Land (2000 TV Movie)

Made in 2000 with scripts from the 70s
27 May 2002
This is one of the worst things I have seen on TV. I would have accepted it if it would have been made in the 70s or 80s. Nowhere to Land has all the stupid things you remember from the films from that time. For example:

There is a bomb on a plane in Nowhere to Land witch every one know will explode in very short time. The situation is really hectic but there is always time for a the typical "time stop" that you see in American movies. Here we have everything from a nice speech from pilot to wife... a kiss and some talk between a boy and a girl before jumping out of the airplane. All this while the bomb is ticking or deadly gas is spreading in the cabin.

The bomb releases a danger gas that are spreading through the cabin. But instead of running away from it the crew always looks at it first for about 10 seconds and then run.

The pilots teacher and former co-pilot is on the plane and dies quite heroically in the end trying to move the bomb further away from the passenger. However the movie ends in pure happiness like we should have forgotten all about him.

Nowhere to Land includes most of the old clichés that we have seen over and over again and are sick of seeing. Therefore I think it would have been better to make this a comedy and change the title to "Not another plane movie".
