I absolutely love everyone of Tim Burton's movies, but if I had to pick which one was my favorite, this would be the one. Why you ask? Well, first of all, this movie has everything. And I do mean everything. Horror, comedy, family fun, you name it. This movie scared me so much when I was a kid. I mean come on, that scene when you see all those clowns and the dinosaur, not to mention the "Large Marge" scene, were scary.

Simply put, I could pop this one in and easily watch it for lots of fun. Not saying that Tim Burton's other movies aren't fun, but this one can be watched under any circumstances. It's like the reason BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA is my favorite John Carpenter movie.

From the moment the opening credits hit the screen, I knew exactly the type of movie that I was going to see, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The old fashioned opening, the bad acting, the awesome fight scenes, all of it clearly pointed to an old fashioned, Errol Flynn, swashbuckling type adventure film. Even though all my friends hated the movie, I had a stupid smile on my face because I had an open mind about what I was watching. Great movie? No, but it was a fun and interesting movie that reminded me of the old action films I used to watch when I was a kid.

Very few moments on the screen have the power to remain in our memory as truly frightening as this. Many years have gone by since I saw this film, but the thought of this film still gives chills down my spine. The film's use symbolism and the insidious corruption of innocent children by the supernatural is quite unsettling. To dissect the story line would take away from the films impact.

I have to be honest, the opening to this movie was very suspenseful and very well made. It seems to be a very promising movie using a good premise. After that, the movie just falls flat on its face like any other normal teen slasher. Even though the movie still stays somewhat entertaining (unlike its sequel, which I hate with a passion), the beginning saved the movie from being a total turd bomb in my book

I can watch this movie over and over and never get tired of it. It definitely goes up as one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. The look on Cary Grant's face every time he finds out something new is worth a viewing alone. A classic in every way, shape, and form. 10/10

Supernova is a perfect example of a studio screwing up everything. MGM had their minds on a 'sexy and hip' type movie while director Walter Hill was making a dark, 'logical' sci-fi movie. After the studio screwed with his movie, he took off. The movie was then taken charge by such directors as Francis Ford Coppola, and Jack Sholder (The Hidden). Well to make a long story short, MGM directed this movie, not as they say in the credits, 'Thomas Lee'. The movie ended up being about an entire crew doing nothing but screwing each other (literally), while bad stuff happens around them. That's it.

I highly recommend everybody who has seen this movie to check out the DVD. There they can see all the deleted scenes that the studio cut out. Check them out, then you think about it. Would you like to have seen the type of movie portrayed in the deleted scenes, or in the current turd that was released to the entire world? IMHO, I'd like to see the movie in the deleted scenes. Let's just hope that MGM has learned it's lesson with such flops like this and Rollerball.

I do not know of any anybody that hates this movie. The action is great, and so is the acting. Forget John Wayne, John McClane is the ultimate hero. Him and Chow-Yun Fat (Chow is the more cool, shoot everybody up without breaking a sweat type of hero. Bruce is the more, no holds bards type hero who'd break your neck, then keep twisting it to make sure that you're dead) Not only is it the greatest action movie of all time, it is also the ultimate Christmas movie too. I know my Christmas isn't complete without at least one viewing of Die Hard. A definite 10/10 score in my book
