Hiccups and Hookups (2021)
horrible!
Extremely bad. Everything about it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WATCHING THIS.
If I could rate "Hiccups and Hookups" any lower than one star, I would. This sitcom, a supposed parody of American suburbia, is so unfunny, so trite, and so utterly devoid of originality that it actually gave me a stomachache.
Do yourself a favor and stick your head in sand instead. At least that practice might teach you something. With "Hiccups and Hookups" you are basically looking at animals waiting to sleep with anyone or anything without any principals. This is the sitcom equivalent of stale eggnog - best left untouched, no matter how desperate you are for holiday cheer.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012)
Beware of this movie!
absolute brain f@#K of a movie. To maintain your sanity please for the love of all that is holy and dear in your life stay away from this movie. The movie has no great songs, no great acting, paltry storyline. Instead you get plastic doll acting from Ms. Kaif, same all-romantic-well known-ddlj-style of acting from SRK and others fill in the gaps. The cameo by Anushka was the biggest F$%k all of the movie. What a dumb girl! I paid the price due to my optimistic outlook in life, hoping that the movie would get better at some point. I died a little that day. What crappy movie.
I guess the best I could do is to warn others to not do the same mistake as me.
Weeds (2005)
Horrible waster of a Show
What kind of brain dead mom is she? The main character lacks conviction, guts, panache or the guile of a drug trafficker. No justification is given as to why the family needs to be doing something that could get them jailed or worse killed. Better still why not involve the entire family so as to make the only (sensible younger) kid an orphan (sarcasm). The main protagonists seems to be interested is in debauchery, smoke weed, get wasted, sleep with a bunch of people etc. you get the picture. Not that there is anything wrong with this behavior but there is not a iota of style in all of this.
With regards the show It does not fall in Drama or Suspense of Comedy genre. This show is a massive waste of time. Had to drag myself to see 3 seasons & gave up in the middle of 3rd season.
Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2003)
A Different Movie from Bollywood Standards.
This type of film is a rarity in Bollywood. But what a film ! The plot of the film is set in the mid-1970's in India. It was the period where emergency was declared and several senior Congress politicians were charged with corruption. Hardly any movies were made which will give us a look at India as it was after independence, a young democratic country; most of the movies being made on the freedom struggle. So this movie comes as a breathe of fresh air. It is due to this film that we realize the social, economic problems through the lives of 3 young college graduates.
The direction of this film is intense and very well directed. Director Sudhir Mishra must be given a pat on his back. Although this movie was not a major commercial success, I guess Sudhir must have known this from the start. The fact the he went ahead shows his commitment to good cinema.
This brings us to the actors. All the 3 protagonists in this movie were very good and convincing in their roles. The passion between Geeta (Chitrangada) and Siddharth (Kay-Kay) seemed genuine; so was the pain of Vikram' (Shiny Ahuja) as a heart broken lover. It reflected upon the changing India, who was shedding her inhibitions at the turn of the decade.
One shortcoming is that the film does not explain in detail why the condition are the way they are portrayed in the movie. So after the film the viewer would have just got a whiff of what was present during those times of turbulence, not the reason why.
The music was captivating and is totally in-tune with the sentiments being portrayed.
All in all a different movie and a thinking movie. If you want to let your feet down and relax this might not be the movie, but if you want watch serious meaningful movie this is for you. Kudos to Sudhir Mishra.

Unacceptable Movie..
This is not a good movie. It is a tried remake of the English movie 'The Hitch'. But it insults the original one. This is hardly a movie you expect from a veteran director like 'David Dhawan' who is credited to directing good movies like "Raja Babu", "Coolie No.1", "Hero No. 1"...
The main theme for this movie is taken from "The Hitch" with some changes so as to appeal to the Indian audience but somehow the story and the screenplay is not convincing enough. Plus the acting from the lead roles i.e. Salman Khan and Govinda is pitiful. It seems that they need the slightest provocation to remove their shirts to reveal their bare chest. I do not consider this fascinating and least of all comic. What was the director thinking ? Added to this the viewers have to bear the case of Govinda's Over-acting. It was simply unbearable. I ADVISE THE VIEWERS TO WATCH IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. My rating of 2 for this movie could be considered to be a very generous one.
Instead I would advise the viewers to watch the English movie "Hitch" which is a lot better.
Scent of a Woman (1992)
A Must See !!
What a movie! Al Pacino is at his brilliant best in this movie. I would rate this one as one of the best (if not the best) Pacino's movie I have ever seen. I could have envisioned "Robert De Niro" in this role, but I doubt if he could have pull it off as Pacino has done. One can truly appreciate Pacino's acting if one sees "Godfather" and "Scent of a Women" back to back. The story or the plot is simple. This movie goes its length not because of the story or the plot, but its acting and screen presence of Pacino. This movie tries to teach the viewers about life. And it does so in subtle ways; that combined with an outstanding screenplay makes the movie a mind blowing one. A Must Watch!!
