I should have watched this years ago. It just sounded a bit ridiculous so I never bothered - big mistake.

It's original. Imagine home alone but instead of wishing his family disappeared, he effectively wished for them all to get taught the meaning of Christmas... and summoned a demon to do it.

Yes, it sounds stupid. It probably is but they make it so well that it's really enjoyable. It had some gremlin vibes. Just a really cool Christmas horror.

I'm going to stop writing reviews. I have to add another 100 characters and it's just filler at this point. Nice back story in the middle, the actors are pretty good etc etc.

Tried too hard to be something deep but just ended up being a very dull movie. The ending wasn't bad but by the time they got there I didn't care anymore and was just happy it was over. My girlfriend wanted to switch it off after 30 mins but I wanted to wait and see. She was right.

Denzel Washington plays troubled cop but it's really trying to hard. Rami Malek doesn't get enough screen time to build up his character so it's very one dimensional. Jared Leto is brilliant and plays the crazy serial killer really well. The film needed more of him.

I would not waste your time watching this movie...

It's easy to focus on what is wrong... the casting of Duff as the lead, the 1990s canned laughter which makes all the jokes look forced, the ridiculously check listed diversity whilst still only having a secondary black character. Yeah - it's badly made.

However, it has the same formula as HIMYM so once you get passed the first episode and how poorly done it is then it can grow on you as an easy watch. I would say it's one for the HIMYM fans but you need to stay with it until you get used to all the things I mentioned above.

I'm disappointed as this series could have been great but it's better than nothing.

Starts well... dark and as realistic as a Batman movie can be. Riddler, Penguin, Cat woman, Falcone all cast and acted really well.

The downside is it should have ended 30 mins earlier. I won't put spoilers but you'll see there was no need to keep it going. Robert P is a good actor but he's awful in this - zero range and just miserable all the time. However, the real disappointment for me was the close range direct gunshots, explosions that didn't hurt him. It's a bat suit. Not a brick wall. That and a scene where he was examined by a doctor with his mask left on was just so stupid it ruined the movie given they were trying so hard for it to be realistic and actually doing really well.

I gave it an 8 but it could have been a 10 with some better direction/editing. Watch it but set your expectations a little lower than the hype.

Imaginative plot, good story, good acting... never going to win any awards but a solid movie if you like this sort of thing. Shades of assault on precinct 13.

It's obviously nonsense with many things that let you know the story is not real. I misjudged it and thought it was all in her head and there was going to be a big clever finish. I don't know - something that made sense of the nonsense.

It turned out it was meant to be nonsense as that now passes for satire and this was a comedy. A comedy with no laughs. If you're not laughing at the end of episode 1 then give up. You're just like me and simply not as smart as the 10/10 reviewers.

I nearly didn't come because of the reviews. It's really good, it's just not linked to the old marvel movies and is starting something new. Give a chance.

Easy watch. Only 90 mins and you play on your phone and not pay too much attention. If that's what you're looking for then this ticks the box. Anymore and you'll be disappointed.

I saw the stage show first. This is brilliant - so much better as they use the supporting cast and changing scenes to tell the story even better. I loved it. You have to watch it as a recording of a stage show rather than a movie.

If you are expecting something basic then it's not for you.

If you have a career and have dated in a big city in your 20s/early 30s then you will connect with this. It's brilliant. If not, then you might not get it.

Excellent Sci-fi. It's made for one season and everything about it is futuristic and cool. I can't see how anyone wouldn't like this.

Some reviews say it gets better from episode 3 so I gave it a chance. It does get better.... but it is still awful, just not as awful as the first two episodes. It's a great concept but still the worst TV series I have ever seen.

Deserves a much better rating. One of the better action movies on Netflix - give it a chance.
