Alright let me start off by saying that I didn't dislike the movie but i wasn't thrilled with it either. I was kind of expecting more. Fist off Chris Evans rocked in this movie...I think his character was the best and he was by far the most fun to watch. Now as far as the plot went it just seemed to drag to me. I thought they spent too much time analyzing their powers and being all scientific about it and not enough time using them. I mean this is a comic superhero movie. There's supposed to be a lot of hero action stuff. There were really only two big action sequences throughout the entire movie. The first one was pretty good (the bridge scene) I'll admit I enjoyed watching it. but the finale kind of fell flat. I mean they hardly took any time to fight him at all. I mean the bad guy took the whole entire movie to become the bad guy. That kind of sucked. I mean how could they fight him if he wasn't a bad guy yet. I mean what kind of hero movie is it where you only really fight the bad guy once? Anyways that special effects were kind of boring. "The Thing" looked a little ridiculous and the stretching thing was just so gross to watch...my friends and i cringed every time we saw it..so if that's what you were going for u hit the nail on the head. Anyways if there is ever a second version of this movie...my advice action, action, action. There has to be more fight scenes where they use their powers. I mean way too much of this movie was analyzing and studying and really doing nothing. So if u ever get a chance to make a second one, please make it more exciting..And have a real bad guy through the whole movie. One fight scene with the bad guy just doesn't cut it.

I thought this movie was really cool. Just the look of this movie was awesome. I've wanted to see this movie ever since i first saw the trailer. To be honest though i almost hesitated to see it though because of Tom Cruise. I've never really like him much, or his movies, (he was pretty good in this one) and my friends didn't really want to see it. Anyways i decided to see it last week and wow. I just thought it was so cool. The sound was turned way up in the theater i was in and i jumped every time the machines would make that sound. It was so creepy cool. I loved that guy that played Robbie, Justin Chatwin, he was by far my favorite character in the movie. Dakota Fanning was amazing, I've enjoyed all her movies. Anyways the look of the movie rocked but as far as the plot goes it lacked a little. I mean you knew what was going to happen. If u thought about it you could pretty much predict who would or wouldn't die. And you never really learn anything. About the aliens or anything else for that matter. I thought the aliens kind of looked a little Idependence Day style too (just a little). Anyways I'll most likely be buying this movie on DVD and just for that look and sound and coolness of this movie i'd totally recommend it. I mean u don't really worry about there being no plot until you're out of the theater cause the movie totally sucks you in. So...in conclusion...see the movie...it rocked....Justin Chatwin, you're awesome.
