The Crazies (1973)
Good Romero film but flawed by low budget
George A. Romero's "The Crazies" starts in the small town of Evan City where we see a creepy scene in which a man goes insane and kills his entire family. We soon find out that something has contaminated the water supply of Evan City, causing people to die and/or go incurabley insane. The film follows a group of people who must evade the highly contagious virus and the even more dangerous US military, who are called in to quarentine the town. Romero has done a good job here, the style is good and the script is good but there are still a lot of problems. At first I didn't really mind the bad special effects and the little problems of "The Crazies" low budget, but the movie does start to look stupid after a while. It has the feeling of a traditional Romero film, the characters are good, it's shot in Pennsylvania, there's a little satire, but it isn't as shocking or cool as Romero's dead films for example. But the movie isn't all that bad, and since it's Romero I rate this a 6.5/10
Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)
this truly is the worst movie ever made...
I think i figured out what they were thinking(what they were smoking, to this day remains a mystery). They were trying to put together another horror that could happen to a town on Halloween. Luckily they had enough sense to bring back Michel Myers in the later instalments because putting on a mask and having bugs come out of no where and suddenly killing you doesn't seem to deserve that many sequels.
The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
fair follow up
The Matrix Reloaded was a good movie, despite that its almost impossible to follow up The Matrix. The best thing about the movie was the fight scenes. The CGI, choreography, and bullet time were spectacular and i really enjoyed the opening sequence. The script was good, but not great unfortunately, the dialouge was awful, most the stuff Agent Smith said was poorly written, like the part about the connection between him and Neo...that brought back bad memories of Jack Frost 2. Overall the movie was pretty good and i would rate it a 7/10.
Romeo + Juliet (1996)
an awful film
far superior to any other adaptation of shakespeare's extremely boring tragic love story, but the movie still sucked, i was moved at the end a little until the totally unrealistic gunshot(no blood). The acting was pretty good, but not great, they couldn't really flow with the old english language of shakespeare with the exception of Father Lawrence. It had it's moments but for the most part the movie was just terrible, don't waste your time. My rating - 3/10
The Pitts (2003)
It's the Pitts! and that's not an introduction to the family, that's the description of what it's like to watch this show!
Bottom line is that this show is a terrible waste of time. I can't beleive the writers of the simpsons came up with this crap! It is so stupid there were a few cheap laughs but the rest of it was just campy crap, and that canned laughter is so corny! and not that it matters but there were numorous plot gaps, like how that psycho nanny got a picture from a prom she didnt go to. In conclusion i feel sorry for FOX, the actors, the writers, anyone who watched the show and myself for watching the whole thing!
Daredevil (2003)
Lots of fun!
To start I'm a huge fan of the comic book and was pleased with the big screen adaptation. The casting could'nt have been better, Affleck was the perfect choice for the man without fear, Elektra could have been better and no one could have played Bullseye better than Colin Farell. This movie is full of great action sequences and appears very much like the first two Batman movies, very dark and suspenseful with an enchanting score. 7/10
Pulp Fiction (1994)
entertaining from start to finish, one of the best films ever made
This movie is one of my all time favorites. Very cleverly directed, very funny and very entertaining, it's the first really good action comedy i've ever seen. Travolta makes a triumphant return to making good movies not involving talking babies and the rest of the cast really brightens up the whole film. Quentin Tarantino is a genius! This movie is a joy to watch again and again.
To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
excellent film, great acting - better than the book
I enjoyed this movie, i watched it in parts with my english class because we were reading the book and watching the movie at the same time. Gregory Peck gives one of his best performances as Atticus in this heart warming story of childhood innocence, racism, maturity and courage. This movie is very good, a must see for fans of drama, 8/10.
Swimfan (2002)
OK thriller, but rent Fatal Attraction instead
This movie is just a teenaged Fatal Attraction. The director copied Adrien Lyne in the cinematography as it shows the same frame from different angles and such. The characters are beleivable despite the fact that teenagers dont usually become obsessed stalkers. The movie is actually good, not great but decent. Erika Christensen is good as the stalker type and the other actors make a good delivery as the stalkees. 5/10.
American Beauty (1999)
this movie is breathtaking
In addition to that the movie is also flawless. Kevin Spacey is at his best alongside a two faced Annete Benning and a frightening Chris Cooper in this superb drama which manages to be very funny at times. The movie is greatly complimented by it's well chosen soundtrack and fitting musical score. The characters are some of the most interesting and entertaining ever to be put on film. I was so entertained by this movie i lost sleep and couldn't help but watch it two more times, and i regret not watching it a third. A direction and cinematography is some of the best i've seen in a drama. To put it more succintly, this film is a must see, escpecially with the scenes featuring Mena Suvari.
3-South (2002)
Funniest show ever
This was the best show ever! MTV has some good toons but this crosses the threshhold. 3-south is packed with side bursting, eye wattering humor that can only be title as funniest show ever. MTV needs to realize that not alot of people want to see wrestling at 10:30(or for me any part of the day) and to put this show back on the air!
American Pie (1999)
THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE OF THE 90's
This is one of the best movie i have ever seen up until the great jackass and of course american pie 2 unlike u losers out there who say movies like this have a weak plot or no character devolpment need to get a life who care about that shiznack in movies i look for comedy and explosions...and other action must haves, i can't wait for american wedding
PS the hulk will be the best movie ever
