Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
A fun and fitting addition to the series
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is as near a perfect end to the beloved franchise as one could hope to get.
Good story, great characters and an excellent dose of archaeological wonder. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is funny and an excellent addition to the story while Harrison Ford brings a weightier characterization of Indy in his later years that feels appropriate and welcome.
It is interesting to see Indiana's shift in values that comes with age: the adventurer is still there, but he has got baggage. More things matter than what might have done thirty years previously, and it makes for engaging storytelling.
Despite that, this is an Indiana Jones adventure! Expect a journey around the world - Nazis! - Chases! - History! This is a new favorite- I'll try to see it in the theater as many times as possible.
