The Tomorrow War (2021)
Terminator Feel
The movie was pretty good, but it was like watching a Terminator movie with a slightly different twist. But again, the movie was pretty good.
The Chi (2018)
This show has become trash
I used to like this show because it had a balance of depicting the good and bad side of Chicago. Now all the show is about is foul language, sexual immorality, & a Mayor that does not have a political or good bone in his body. This should have just ended with season 2.
The Midnight Sky (2020)
It was like watching 2 movies
George Clooney's predicament, was not congruent with the predicament of those in space. Every time scenes were switched from earth to space, it was like watching a different movie. Not to mention the ending made the whole movie useless.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)
More like a Psychological Phyzzle
When watching this movie, I had to keep checking if something was wrong with me, or the movie. It was like watching people read movie scripts and intentionally trying not to get the part, absolutely awful.
Sylvie's Love (2020)
Better than what I expected
I know Tessa Thompson is a great actor, but I was surprised by Nnamdi Asomugha's performance, he did an awesome job. Usually people who transition from the NFL to acting, do not fair well. Overall the movie was good, it depicted the intensity of a love affair that survived the vicissitudes of life.
Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020)
Metaphorically Relevant
Chadwick Boseman and Viola Davis both turned in Oscar worthy performances. But, I must say, the metaphors e.g. the locked door to no where, stepping on shoes, the misappropriation of black music; were not only relevant then, they are relevant today.
Coffee & Kareem (2020)
Over the top
Any little kid in reality does not use this much profanity. Really over the top.
Hush (2016)
No logic
This is the movie that only works if logic is missing. This one comment sums it up, a deaf woman living in the woods by herself.
I See You (2019)
Unexpected
At first it seemed like the regular paranormal movie, but the twist towards the end, brought this movie back to life. Did not expect it. Great ending.
The Trap (2019)
Poor
This was poorly written, poorly directed, and the acting was poorly done.
Uncorked (2020)
I could not focus
It seemed like a lot of conversations were added to the script to take up time. The story-line was bland and boring. I kept drifting off in thought.
In the Shadow of the Moon (2019)
At first it was good, until the moon and time travel became the focus.
Once astrology, wormholes, time travel and reincarnation were added to the plot, the movie simply crashed.
Pimp (2018)
Absolute Trash
Absolutely trash, poor script, poor directing and poor acting. An absolute waste of time.
Rel (2018)
I almost threw up
OMG, this has to be one of the most horrible black shows I have ever seen. Please don't renew this.
It (2017)
God-Awful
This was a God-awful movie, the scenes were not sequential, it was not scary, and absolute let-down. I was looking to be scared, but instead I was disgusted. I wish there was an option to give it a piece of star.
Rosewood (2015)
This was painful to watch
I like Morris Chesnut, but this show will most likely last one season, or be pulled after several episodes. First and foremost, it is not believable. A handsome single forensics Dr. and a beautiful single detective, both in Miami most likely does not exist in the real world. There is too many scenes that are playful. The gay couple is getting played out, not to mention a gay couple that is interracial; I guess producers wanted to cover all bases. It would have been more productive to have Morris play the detective, a muscular forensics Dr., walking around diagnosing marks on people and figuring out missing pieces to an investigation by looking at someone pour a drink, is not complementing his physique; he needs more action. Jessica Ortiz would have been better suited to play the forensics Dr.; I am not trying to be sexist, the storyline has to be believable, that's what makes it painful to watch.
