Fractured (2020)

Exegarated in an unfair way
8 January 2022
Realistic atmosphere and above average acting ruined by poor writing & directing.

Long story short; idea of the movie is, if you're a member of a low-class family in Istanbul which moved there from a north-eastern small city to establish a new life, and also if your family has not well-understanded religious beliefs and practises, you're the source of all the evil in the world. But if you're secular and a schoolgoer / middle+ class citizen, you cannot have that bad personalities...

That point of view reminded me old Turkish "Saban" movies where every Muslim or mosque related people are dramatically bad.

Ironically, movie had government support (ministry of culture), that arguable government who rules the state by the votes of lots of 'Muhittins' according to this movie's creators' philosophy.

So, who is the real Muhittin here?

Tenet (2020)
1/10
Started Promising, Ended Hugely Disappointing
1 October 2020
When it comes to concept of time, Nolan name was a trademark, until Tenet. Memento and Inception, also Interstellar were great movies that offered thought provoking ideas about dimensions and relativities of time. But Tenet, with some witty dialogues and "dramatic" special effects, ended up making the audience feel stupid while tries to explain what is going on between future and the past. Far away from being a proper movie, i believe overrated reviews was a result of respect to the name of the director, not the movie itself.

The Only Good Thing About This Movie is "Good Intention"
30 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I had big expectations before i see this movie, if you can call it a movie because this is more likely a documentary.

Because of this movie was based on a book from a famous writer, with its big budget about 10 million Turkish Liras (it may not be an expensive film for a Hollywood making, but it is for Turkish movies) i was thinking that i was going to watch a good story.

After first 10 minutes, i understood that it was just an empty movie with its amateur dialogues, slipshod costumes and really annoying and poor musics. There was only 5 crowded scenes, and two of them were copy of each others.

Before i start reviewing this film, i thought the only good thing about this movie was good intentions for making it, but when i rethink all the pain and suffering i had while i was watching it, i now begin to think it was only another trap to pull the audience to cinema saloons. And if you want Turkish cinema to develop and improve, please don't make the mistake i made and don't go to movies like this one. Big disappointment! I give it a 2/10, and this score of 2 is not for the movie, only for its name.
