Slow, boring, the after life just lacks budget, who figure it?
The premise is clear and wonderful: after life you just can choose a memory and only one memory to relieve it that moment. Despite the great premise, the movie goes downwards. There are a lot of people who enjoy this film, just because they seems to think that where the film is slow is deep, and where non-actors appear the movie is authentic, but when you think in all the possibilities that the premise gives and you watch this, I mean... this boring after life that want to recreate the memory, but it doesn't have any magic at their disposal, just the props of the film directos in the 80'... Is just boring.

As many others I used to love this movies. I really do. But everything in this one is poor. I'am amazed at the high rates, I try to understand the arguments or the perspectives and I coudn't find any good support whatsoever. You may regard this in many artistic expressions, the ordinary, the plain, the simple, sometimes pass for the poetry of the day to day. This movie is just plain dull, that's it, you must not go further. The movie try to show us the difficulties of love in the 40, but they succeed only in the boring and the routine; the try to enchant us with Greece, but they didn't miss a single opportunity of the common image cliché; they want to show us how the beauty can't withstand the harshness of the routine, but in doing this they ruin the beauty, they ruin the wit, the love, the affinities, and they transform the harshness in pure stupidity. This movie is just a failure.

It's rare to find a movie so bad that you can't find anything good in it, Oblivion is that case, even for a pop corn movie. The music comes from the worst movie tree decades ago; the acting is way terrible. This movie is like Star Wars, like I am legend, like Kubrik's Space, like Walle but without the good things: dumb, at every second; dull, at every image; stupid in every dialogue. It doesn't have any sense whatsoever: think in the most powerful machine, a machine whose radar can detect anything, even lies too, but no bombs. Boring, senseless, predictable, is just a manual of how to waste everything. Watch it, please do it, you will realized that your time is so precious that is just unfair to waste it in crap like this.

Watch the trailer, and save yourself the time and the money. I mean, what was this guy thinking, this is just plain dull... The plot is boring, everyone knows what will happen. The character have two or one dimension, they are like a mean cartoon. Maybe the script was written by a high monkey. We love the fight, we even love Rocky kind of movies, but this is just an offense to fighting, an exercise in ridicule. The lighting would have been better if it were have done with a flash light. This movie is priceless, it's the exact negative of a good movie. And the romance, I mean, you will feel the total absence of chemistry of these two, watch closely to Hayek's face, it's like... well, those productions demand money. Watch the trailer, this guy is funny, but to write a script, you have to be smart, you have to have wit, and this guy lacks both. Maybe he didn't write it at all, I guess it was a monkey, working all the way in rehab

I wasn't expecting so much of this movie. I was looking for fun, action, but what do I get... Katherine Heigl is lovely, yes, I love her, she's beauty, she's fun, she's charming. I haven't read this book, but this adaptation is terrible: the plot is meaningless; there is no coherence in the first scenes; everything is predictable, everything; the dialogue is the worst thing of all, so many common places, I believe it was their daily meeting, because all of them where here. The shots are bad t.v shots. This movie is bad even for t.v movies. Our Katherine, well the same role as always; I adore her, but let's be honest, she is far of being a good actress, I mean really far, and this movie shows you just that. The so call cop, the so call tough guy, it was the most flat character of all. If the roadrunner it's two-dimensional, this "ex-cop" was one-dimension only. Please, don't waste your time, 1/10 (Even when you know what to expect of this kind of movie, it's just a failure for a pop corn comedy)

There is a controversy about "experimental films." Well, Some sustain that this film isn't, but I have to make my point. This is an experimental film, and is by far only an experimental film, no less, no more.
It searches to be deep, but rarely succeed in be understandable. Maybe, it's just a chance to find another form to show a story, but the story was so poor, so dumb, that this new narrative lose all his chance to convince. Some people find sense in this film, but I believe that they commit a common mistake: to take the unreasonable and stupid for complexity and deepfulness. Well, you may remember the Anderson tale, the The Emperator's new suit. Don't be misguide by the theories of some people. This looks like a documentary, and is fine, but it has a 70 games of colors and filters, but the plot... well, there isn't.. the story.. well, it's just dumb... and the theme... well, it's like everything and nothing, like the Emperator's new suit.

I am a big fan of this kind of movies, this genre is just great, it gets to the point, uses imagination and defies conventions. RojoRed is a colombian production, I just receive this DVD in these days, I was not aware of this movie at all... Colombian Film industry is just poor, it always remain with the same actors, with the same themes, with the same directors, that already had done their thing, and despite the "big" audience, all their movies are the same. Rojored was a big surprise, it was under the carpet for me all these years, and at the moment I put the DVD I had this strange feeling, the suspicion about colombian movies, the idea that we have to rate according to all the past movies, all the boring movies, it is like we in my country couldn't get near a international standart production. And well, RojoRed is a fine of work, here and everywhere. The idea is just charming. I have a few objections about the acting, but every time that I think in the literal idea of the web-texture of reality, I just delighted. The Idea, great. The execution, a few flaws, but well done

Stefan Zweig was one of the greatest writers of the XX century. His biographies were master pieces, his novellas were a model of his class. All around the world the people read his works and listen to his ideas. Then the War came over. Hitler, Goobles... You know that dreadful history.
Zweig came to Brasil as a refuge. "Lost Zweig" show us the last days of the writer, the pressure of the government of Vargas, the strange feeling of being in the paradise, while in his own country the devil was the only ruler and hell the life that went on. Zweig wrote a wonderful autobiography "The World of Yesterday", but as Friderike, his first wife, notice, and every other reader, Zweig doesn't show himself, he is this great writer that hide himself in facts and history. This movie tries to show that man, the writer that loves Montaigne, the friend's worries for his Jewish people, the strange husband, the public figure. "Lost Zweig" aims to one drama, the refuge, the guilt of being away and cannot do anything for your love ones.
I am huge fan of Zweig and I really enjoyed this movie. It's is a great portrait. The director shuffles the chronology in a marvelous way, play with the images, with chess. If you are a Zweig fan, you have to see this picture. If you are not aware of this great writer, well This picture has plenty thing to said, about the times, the spirit, and the frustration of a great writer in such a difficult times.

I am big fan of Tolstoy, I love his persona, I am aware of his family life, of Chertkov and all the people that surround him. The journalist and all those people around are well portrayed in this picture, they were so annoying, but the main characters are... poor. Where is the writer? where is the preacher? where is the Zeus kind of man? I know that the movie tend to show the last days of Tolstoy, the stupidity of Chertkov, but where is Tolstoy?, yes, he is relegated in some way, this movies shares Chertkov's fault, it show us only the Icon with some features that are aiming to move the audience, but they fail absolutely. Tolstoy was a thinker, a great writer, a storyteller, a explosion of life, where is that? This was pure gossip, the gossip of all this journalist, of the doctor, of the musician, of all the people that wrote memories about the last moments of the great writer... But the writer has left us a huge amount of arguments, stories, autobiography, where was that?

I got nothing against Diaz or Cruz, I even like Mission Impossible II, but this movie is by far the worst movie I had ever seen. I have seen such movies like "Hulk", the first try, ... Porkys, all this crap about American Highschool, I mean I have a great experience watching garbage movies, and this time I even want to watch a "pop corn" movie. I didn't care if Cruise kill all the bad guys and did even get hit by one of them, but...
Fun? Well,the poor jokes, the bad acting, you can laugh with that off course, but you are mocking the movie... Action? Go and watch TV... Effects? Watch The Jetsons... Plot? The Flinstones are Hitchcock movies comparing to this... Do not be worry...
This movie is going to TV in 2 months.

Among his many passions, García Márquez felt a special kindness to the movie's world. Back in the fifties, he wrote plenty columns about movies, and his understanding of this art was remarkable. He approach was, off course, trough literature. He admired Audrey Hepburn, the skills of Hitchcock, he love the great movies of Bogart, Gary Cooper, Gregory Peck. Of all his books, he said once, this "El Amor y otros demonios" was composed attending to the resources of movie makers.
There has been a lot of adaptations. I love this ones. It's so simple, it gets to the point, it talks about love, repression, sin, kindness. It has to be so tough to put García Márquez imagination trough pictures, but in this beautiful images, in this outstanding photography, you can get a glimpse of that wonderful and charming world.
A dog bite a little girl. The infection was regard as evil plan. A young preacher is in charge to this difficult case.

I love box. This guy was a huge fighter. But he believes himself a subject of great importance. Yes, he was good. Yes, he was the last outstanding fighter of our time. But as a person, and he tries to show himself in this movie , is such a poor guy. Primitive, stupid, boring, without any wit and romanticism.
Box is an art, and maybe this documentary should have been better if they keep it only in this way. But here there was Mike Tyson, the human. And Mike Tyson the human is too dumb. Simply, he does not think. I was tempting to say how close was he with an animal. And not only because he was brutal in the ring, but as person, he was brutal...
There is part when he talks about sex. And he shows such a hungry face, and if you look closely he starts to move his tongue. I want only the fighter. And this documentary does not give you that. What were the MK techniques, who were his favorite fighters of all time, who was his greatest rival, those are important questions, but do not try to find here the answers.

What can you said about this -thing-...
For almost two decades this series has been a real nightmare for Colombia. First, the actors. All of them were really awful. They didn't act, they pretend. They try to be sometime deep, but they only succeed in been dumb. ¿Experience? ¿Talent? ¿Studies? It doesn't matter for these series. You can be the most stupid model and here you could find a job... This were the pool from a lot of Colombian actors came, but they didn't try to be selective... never. Whoever can talk, whoever can move, it works for them. The result, a lot of people watched this series only to critic it. And for a lot of actors this was OK.
Second, the plot. The try to remake Family Ties, with Michael J. Fox and it the end they succeed in making everything, except it. In almost twenty years they stole arguments from everywhere... movies, series, books, more movies, more USA series, mores stupid books, and as it happens always with this series, they achieve their principal goal, been dumb and silly to catch all the audience compassion and no more.
Can you imagine the photography, the direction, the dialogues of this thing? No, you can't. You have to watch it for yourselves, this is even worst that some Indian movies, this is even worst that some Venezuelan a Peruvian soup operas. I really don't know something lower.

A kind of beauty

I just read White Fang and I found it awesome. London is the writer of the Yukon and the Gold Rush. When I start watching this movie I just thought that it must have a lot of twist to be a good movie. The book was really wild: the famine, the attacks of White Fang to the dogs at the station, are not here... It will be too cruel to the movie screen and I guess impossible without hurting the animals. Instead, you will find here a kind movie, with action, with a spectacular scenarios, with this beautiful wolf/dog, with great music and with the London adventure at his best. Inspired in White Fang, the movie carry us trough the life of Jack becoming a man, and a simple and moving relationship between the man and his dog. There are scenes that were just great: the amazing dog combat, in this point both movie and book are just awesome.
