Vals (2019)
Three stars just because Im a good guy
There's 90minutes of my life I will never get back. I am giving three starts because I'm a good person and I respect the crew's efforts. But everything in this movie is simply bad.
Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King (2022)
A bunch of idiots blaming a dead guy
This doc reveals the stupidity of some greedy bunch of idiots that wanted to get some easy money. Instead, they were caught in a scam (obviously) and now they're blaming a dead guy who can't defend himself. Fellas, you're adults, you should know that money don't come easy. Do some reality check and stop whining about your losses because you were voluntarily scammed. Their level of stupidity is escalated when they begin to believe in a bunch of conspiracy theories just to have someone to blame for their lack of brains. Very revealing documentary about the so called victims of a scammer and their refusal to admit they are acting like five year olds.
Hit and Run (2021)
Awful acting, good plot
The main issue here is the main protagonist. I seriously wonder why this actor keeps getting roles, his range of emotions is close to zero and the guy just can't act. It's sad becaus the show is decent, with a good plot and he just ruins everything with his robotic acting style. I had the same problem with Fauda to be honest but Fauda was a better show overall, so I could overlook his bad acting. Aren't there any other Israeli actors, who might have a hint of a talent?
What Happened to Monday (2017)
My problem is Noomi Rapace
The film has an interesting premise, good action scenes BUT it has Noomi Rapace. I don't understand why people keep saying she is talented. To me she is one of the most overrated actors along with Gwyneth Paltrow. TIt was also quite predictable but I wouldn't mind if I was't that annoyed by Rapace's presence.
13 Reasons Why (2017)
Liked it, but full of plot holes
Yeah, well, I'm in my mid-30s and I really liked it. That in itself might say something about the quality of this teen drama.
The acting was superb, the story heartbreaking, and the events are escalating episode by episode, becoming more cruel and "real" than I could bear.
But, I have to admit there are some serious plot holes in the story: 1.In the beginning, we were left with the impression that Clay was "one of the reasons why" and it was actually one of the main reasons for me to keep watching. In his tape though, Hanna explicitly says "You don't belong in these tapes". Throughout I was sure that she was going to accuse him of doing nothing, which was a legitimate reason if you ask me, but no, she cleared him off. So, why bother sending him the tapes in the first place? 2.Right before the final tape, the story was focused on Hannah's ex-best friend rape. And then in the end it pops up that Hannah was raped as well. I mean why everyone NEVER brought it up from the beginning, I wonder. Since all of them had heard the tapes anyway.
3. Why the rapist NEVER heard the tapes? He had to be the first to one to receive them! And these are just a couple of plot holes, there are so many more.
Overall, I appreciated what the series wanted to convey, and I really think it was a first-class series, but there are some serious question marks there that weaken the whole project.
Alphas (2011)
Strange but interesting
Here in Greece we don't even know this series, but fortunately I was happy to find it out through a friend of mine who lives in London.
I've completed season 1 and I have to say that it mainly confused me, because in the beginning I thought it was a rubbish. But for some reason I kept watching it and it turned out to be a really good show.
Characters are likable, especially Nina and Gary, and you actually care about what had happened in their life.
As for the series itself, I think it's something between X-Men and CSI which is really cool.
The huge disadvantage of this show is that sometimes they start a personal story of one of the characters along with the main storyline and then you don't see what's happening next, you only see the result.
Anyway, generally I'm enjoying the show very much.
(sorry for my bad English :P)
