There are many reasons that I liked this movie over all of the other Batman movies. Don't get me wrong, most of them were pretty good, but this one stands out, for me, as the best one so far.

The direction was dark and always intriguing. ALL of the cast members were really very compelling to watch.

The Special Effects fit right in with the mood of the story. The music score by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard was excellent.

Most of all, a superhero movie where the lead character's situation s truly "dark." I feel that is the way the creator of this comic book franchise as well as many other comic book creators intended it to be.

My hat's off to all involved.

For Heaven's Sake has a superb line up of talent is behind it. I really enjoyed watching it.

The clever screenplay by TV writer, Ann Marcus, an Emmy Award recipient for the cult classic TV series, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, is tight, funny and heart-rending.

It is directed with an assured hand by director, Nat Christian, who creatively weaves an intoxicating mixture of romp and human drama. Christian also directs his actors exceptionally well giving them the freedom to explore the depths of their comedic as well as deep emotional ranges.

The superb cast headed by Florence Henderson gives us diverse characterizations, engrossing to watch.

Florence Henderson captivates us in her moving depiction of a woman who goes to heaven and then tries to maneuver her way out of it in order to keep a promise to her granddaughter.

Allison Lange, who plays a young Florence, has a star's screen presence. David Paetkau, always honest, is vulnerable and appealing.

Stephanie Patton is one heck of an actress. This girl (10 years old?) should be a major player in the years to come. Yanni King is lovely as a comedic assistant in heaven. Kathryn Gordon brings deep emotion to her character. An excellent performance by Time Winters had me laughing throughout his whole scene. Quinn Redeker is great, as he always is, as Florence's suitor. Newell Alexander is charming and very appealing. Denice Duff is a talented actress who should be seen more. Jorge Elias is a blast. TV stars Skyler Gisondo and James Tupper are great, albeit in smaller roles.

The movie has a pattern of some very interesting camera angles. I liked the music very much. Lots of laughs with bittersweet moments tugging at you.

Filmmakers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg continue the Indiana Jones franchise with fun and style.

Script writer, David Koepp, keeps to their formula, and after a bit of a set-up, we are given action, action, action, with some breathing time in between. All fun stuff.

Harrison Ford shows us that he still has the goods as the archaeologist who spends most of his time digging himself out of deadly situations.

This latest installment in the sequels, which was put together with a fine cast including Harrison Ford, Ray Winstone, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett and Karen Allen (great to see her).

There are wonderful visual moments that are more interesting than the verbal sequences.

Of course, it is always exciting when the score by John Williams and the theme song come on, and that only adds to the popcorn movie atmosphere.

Give me some more popcorn. I look forward to the next one.

I just watched The Ten Commandments again. This is my third time, because I wanted to give it a chance. Oh, come on, when will they make a really good remake of The Ten Commandments? I mean this 1956 version is so hammy and corny and steeped in such heavy handedness, that it really is the time for a good remake. Let me first say that all of the actors involved in this movie are very talented and the filmmakers are obviously gifted. It's just that the movie is so very self conscious (maybe because of the time), wanting to get the message across that it is kind of hard to watch. Of course, the special effects, given the time that it was made, were great. Again, great for that time. But this movie should not be about special effects. The effects should be a supplement. But even if it were for the special effects, then all the more reason to do a decent remake. Imagine what can be done now with digital effects? I heard that this movie did very well when it first opened, but I don't think that it would hold up today.
