Person, Place or Thing (2022–2024)

This makes Saturday morning quiz shows look like a Broadway production

Person, Place, or Thing is a game you play when you are trapped in the car for hours on end in the hottest part of the summer with your irritated parents and your crotchety siblings who want to be in the exact spot you are occupying because it's on the shady side of the car. It's 20 Questions, people. It's not a show to present on TV. It's a questionably talented host giving vague clues to a trio of trapped contestants who can only escape if they lose. I saw an episode where the champion had won three times and was desperately trying to leave. She was rescued by this hapless guy who realized, too late, that he had been trapped.

Don't waste your time, but if you happen across an episode, make sure your curtains are pulled down, all of your doors and windows are locked, and, preferably, that no one is home in your neighborhood.

Á la Grinch; stink, stank, stunk
12 February 2022
It makes me so happy to find like-minded people in this world who dislike Bonnie Franklin as much as I do. The set must be what, 20 feet wide and she's emoting for a stage twice that size. Her signature move was to start stage left behind the couch, swing her arms like an angry toddler and say, "Oh, Julie!" That smug face she would make when she thought she had cut someone down to size made her if possible, look even more idiotic than usual. When I would hear that theme song starting, if I didn't get to the tv fast enough to turn it off, I would run from the room.

I bet that's what happens in her afterlife; people running to get away from her.
