Summerland (2004–2005)
Wonderful Family and teen drama
23 January 2005
I really enjoy Summerland. It is feel good family program that still has drama and both adult and teen angst, but not overkill on the sex department. Sexual theme programing is a legit genre, but it is always good to have a little break once in a while. I Don't think it is fair to compare Summerland to past WB hits such as Buffy and Angel because those two shows fall in quite different genres. If anything compare this show to a little 7th Heaven, and little Dawson Creek, and even a little One Tree Hill. These three shows are not very similar, but I believe Summerland takes themes from all three, a feel good family drama, that still has some adult and teen, even younger appeal, where fans of all three, or pick or choose of the three can perhaps enjoy something together.

Interesting little movie 6 out 10
18 July 2004
Warning: Spoilers
I just watched this movie with a friend of mine. It was a little corny yet it was entertaining. Yes, it is a religious movie, but not very preachy. But if you are not Christian, it might bother you. Over all, this movie is a heartwarming movie that you can watch with the family. Though, I wouldn't recommend this movie for kids under that age of 10 because of some violence, unless you are sure they know the difference of fiction and reality.

* SLIGHT SPOILERS WARNING *

The movie starts out with a mission to bring bibles to a village in Mexico. But something goes wrong on the way there. The trio is forced to land in the middle of the dessert, where they discover a mysterious town. I'm not going to say anything else, but let's just say this town is *different*

The O.C. (2003–2007)
Sweet show, very interesting and entertaining.

After watching the pilot episode of The OC, I have to say it exceeded exceptions. Not only was I a veteran fan of early years old "Beverly Hills 90210", but also a current fan of the show "Judging Amy", a show that focuses on the Juvenile court system. For the same reason, fans of "The Guardian" may enjoy this show.

The storytelling was great, so much so that I genuinely felt compassion for the main character Ryan. Plus, as a shy, loner type myself, I enjoyed the budding friendship of Ryan and Seth. Ryan and Seth both seem good for each other. I know they could both teach the other by their very different living experiences. Also, next door neighbor Marisa, and events at a party, hint to an exciting foundation of interesting plot devices to come.

Cute and Enterntaining

I remember watching this movie a few years back. As a fan of 19th century frontier life stories, this sounded very interesting. I can't remember all the details, but I really enjoyed this movie. If you are fan of this genre, and you can get this on video somewhere, check it out!

I heard this is based on a book as well. I haven't located the book yet, but maybe now that came across this story on this site, I will look back into it!

Funnier than the Original, and wow, oh so good.

Warning: Spoilers
I think Santa Clause 2 is one of the best movie sequels out there. Being eight years after the original, I believe the film makers designed a well crafted solution to the tastes of both the teens and young adults that seen the first movie, to the kids that never saw the first Santa Clause.

First thing first, for new fans, do watch Santa Clause. Though you won't be totally confused, watching the first movie, could prevent your young one's from asking questions such as "How does Santa get into the Chimney?", "How did he become Santa Clause?" Theses questions and more are answered in the first movie. If you don't have the movie, a trip to a video and/or DVD store is recommended. It will just allow you to enjoy the movie even more.

*Mild Spoilers*

Unlike the first movie, Santa Clause / Scott Calvin, is settled as Santa Claus, loving his job, and the elves love him too. He believes everything is just merry, until oops he needs a wife. Eight year-old Charlie is now a cute teenager. And Neil,Laura, and Scott interactions are just so funny. Fun stuff for both kids and adults. Comedy, Romance, Action, more. Worth the price of admission!
