King Kong (2005)
1/10
Apart from Kong it sucked like the bugs (about 8 hours in)
18 December 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I am sure that Jackson is a fine director but winning an Oscar for a 9 plus hour film (sorry for the last part of the 9 hour plus film)is no free ticket to make me think of this as the worst two films I have ever seen and when the DVD comes out it will be the worst 3 - deleted scenes will count for a third film - the film only worked with Kong in the scene. Adrian Brody & Jack Black should return their money as they were paid too much for too little. The love scene on the boat was, I hope, written as high comedy because I laughed all the way through. Whover was really responsible for the dialogue should have revised the script because it sucked - each scene was 10 minutes too long. No one can give me back my 3.5 hours, and I thank God that I am a student so I didn't pay full price.

Hellfighters (1968)
Not really all that bad - Honest
12 August 2003
OK so the film is bad.Very Bad but it has something going for it - Jim Hutton is cute (as always)and makes up for John Wayne acting comedy like Kenneth More's laugh - HA HA! - to express extreme mirth The bit of the film that I like best is from the scene where Jim Hutton stands outside the door after Big John is recuperating - His head on the side and standing on one hip, just that one image fixed the film in my memory for many many years.

not scientific or readily explainable but i have the film on video and watch it whenever it is on TV

Now, Voyager (1942)
10/10
My Alltime favourite film . . well one of my top ten anyway
4 May 2003
This film is an excellant Bette Davis film, it puts the term vehicle beyond the normal usage of the term. Bette shines as both the repressed and neurotic spinster and the worldly sophisticated woman she then becomes. It is a film that transgresses the decades since it was made and speaks to women of all ages.

My favourate quote of Paul Heinreid (he looks like his idea of fun would be to find a nice damp grave and sit in it) is turned around and he actually portrays a sympathetic character.

Claude Rains is a sexy (yes thats right I do find the guy sexy) psychiatrist who puts her back together again.

the plot is great the dialogue excellant and my favourite last line is the message on my mobile (slightly changed to fit the letters allowed).

It is a film for all to watch when stressed or depressed, it also works great with chocolates wine and tissues.

Watch this and enjoy.
