Gotham Knights: Scene of the Crime (2023)
Don't need Batman but..
I sincerely hope that we are going to get flashback with Batman/Bruce Wayne.from what I have seen so far, it seems like the story is being told from the middle. Some shows like to start at the end, and then jump back and fill in the blanks, but this show feels like it's right on the precipice of exploding.
It's all coming together. Turner is old enough to chose a side for himself. Bruce or Batman has angered the Owls enough to have them take him out the picture. The older generation has a story to tell and they are going to let it play out with the younger generation.
Honestly, I thought that the clothing raid was a little cheesy as was the escape from the office. They made up for it with the delivery/discovery of the contents of the boxes on the desk and in the trolley. I think that there are still some characters to flesh out and that is what will keep me coming back for more.
Oh, and Mr Harvey Dent himself, Misha Collins.

Who needs Batman?
Just give it a go. 8/10.
I watched the premiere episode because of the buzz on twitter. Please keep in mind that a pilot is usually done months before the show gets picked up. They filmed in Toronto and moved to Atlanta for the rest of the series.
I loved the cinematography and tone/style of this Gotham. Amazing colors, incredible glam and some pretty good explosions for television. The young cast seem enthusiastic and eager.
I'm already looking forward to seeing how the writers, producers and editors - deal with a dead Bruce Wayne/Batman. Is he really dead? I want to know what that caretaker (Cressida?) is up to! What were the changes that Bruce was going to make to his will.

It's Delicious!
This is where the magic happens. Southside Chicago bbq.
Go meet people, be a good human: empathy.
Amazing artwork caught in this episode!
Jazz it up.
Incredible footage of the bbq smokers.

Grossed out by fish?
So I have to state that I once accidentally ate Calamari, thinking it was onion rings... needless to say I haven't been interested since.
The fish scenes really grossed me out but I couldn't stop watching the people working. These are the people that feed the country. They do this thankless job, they leave their own families, and they are proud of doing their part.
This is REAL reality tv, without all the lights and makeup. Actual people, living their lives, doing their best for their families.
Kudos to the editing team, I'm sure these episodes could be hours long!

I'm a picky eater but I'm glad I went back for seconds! Episode 2!
I've been to NYC a few times and there is always something new to learn, see or explore. This was a terrific way to put the spotlight on a part of a huge city that seems like it has a small town feel "where everyone knows your name".
The food looked amazing but the cultural connections is what drew me closer to the screen. Such a tight knit community. Loved how they worked around Covid19 and look out for each other.

Worth the wait
So glad that PBS decided to revisit this premise. Food brings people and cultures together. This makes me want to take my own road trip and discover new foods, people and places.
