Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show (2009)
One of the best TV movies I have ever seen
This is an example of a terrific movie, TV or otherwise. I have never been drawn into a movie like this, and the animation is beyond anything I would've have expected from an animated movie. It has a great plot, and the writing is terrific. The only reason that I don't give it a 10, is because of the ending. Nothing that happened in the series or the beginning of the movie set up the ending they decided to put in. It completely changes things, which is crazy, even for the end of the series. But even then, this is one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. And if you find the smallest amount of pleasure from watching the series, you will not want to miss this.
Something's Gotta Give (2003)
Awful. Just plain awful.
OK, I'm not going to lie to you. Watching this movie was a soul-sucking torture. First there was the inane plot, which then led you to the cheesy, romantic, mumbo-jumbo; all resulting in confusion and frustration, because this is not what you were expecting from a comedy.
I found myself fighting the urge to just turn off the movie, because I would never stop a movie before it was over, no matter how bad it was. But this movie almost made an exception to my rule. And before you knew it, I was diving for the remote every second an ending was possible, just to feign innocence later that I thought it was over. But no. I stuck it out to the credits, and I am completely sorry I watched this movie.
The Dark Knight (2008)
10 out of 10 every time
Have you ever seen a movie that no matter how many times you watch it, it is as good as you saw it the first time? Well for The Dark Knight, it gets better the more times you see it. This is definitely my favorite movie and will be for a very long time.
You may think that the Oscar's decide how good a movie is, but it's really not. There are countless movies that come out every year, so you can't be assured that your movie will win the ones you want it to win, no matter how good it is. For example, look at the Shawshank Redemption. Excellent movie. #1 on IMDb's Top 250. But it didn't win a single Oscar.
So if you are ever at a movie rental place, looking for something to suppress your needs for a movie that redefines movies, rent The Dark Knight. Then, go out and buy the special edition.
