Horrible!
3 August 2023
I love Star Trek Strange New Worlds (overall I give the series 10 stars) but this episode is like something the CW network would do! I know they want to do a lot of genre bending this season, but this one did not bend, it broke. The crossover episode with an animated series was clever, but a musical episode is just absurd. What has made Strange New Worlds so great is how it is getting back to the story telling of the original series. As much as Shatner might like to do spoken word "singing" these days, I can't imagine Roddenberry ever having the Enterprise break into song. Please do better and don't repeat this mistake!

Lopez vs. Lopez (2022– )
Can't stand the laugh track
5 November 2022
The canned laughter happens even when nothing funny happens, which is most of the show. I might watch another few episodes if it were not for the laugh track. When will the networks realize we don't need or want canned laughter. Film in front of a studio audience or just leave the laughter for us at home.

Additionally I found the characters annoying and the TikTok scene were annoying. I think they must have decided to add the laugh track because they knew the show itself was not funny. Watching a drunk father try to get back into a relationship with his daughter is not funny. But the show is also not good as a drama. Just all around disappointing. The actors could do better than this.

How I Met Your Father (2022–2023)
Can't tolerate the laugh track!
17 September 2022
The laugh track is so obvious and poorly done that it detracts from the story. I gave up after two episodes because I found the laugh track so annoying. If they would re-release this laugh track free I would give it another chance.

The acting is OK though I don't think any of the characters are even close to what How I met Your Mother characters. Some of the characters are just over the top stupid. Perhaps they are better developed in later episodes, but unfortunately I will never know because the annoying laugh track is intolerable. I read somewhere that Hillary Duff was initially against the laugh track. She should have stuck to her instincts.

Boring
10 October 2021
The actors are great but the story is so boring that it can't save this mess of a prequel. A very sad attempt to revitalize a great show.

The Great North: Brace/Off Adventure (2021)
Season 2, Episode 1
Horrible
27 September 2021
I love The Great North but this episode was horrible. The story was OK, but making it a musical ruined it. I hope this is the last musical they do. It was still slightly better than The Simpsons musical, but not good.

Worst episode of the worst season
18 September 2021
The whole season has sucked so far but this episode was so bad that I had to comment. What happened to the writers of this show?

Plot holes everywhere!
13 July 2021
I watched this because of the talented actors but they couldn't save it from the bad storyline. The overall story was an interesting concept and could have made for a great movie but something went terribly wrong. The director also did a poor job. The montage scenes made me laugh (they weren't supposed to). Overall just a bad movie. The kid probably did the best acting but I blame the story not the actors.

Walker: Mehar's Jacket (2021)
Season 1, Episode 14
Two rangers walk into an illegal fight...
18 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Sounds like the start to a good joke, right? Unfortunately that is just one of many plot holes in this horrible episode. They walk in with their badges and guns on their hips and no one even noticed. Who writes this crap?

Shithouse (2020)
Boring
5 April 2021
I think they were trying to be artsy with this movie but it was ridiculous and boring. I kept hoping something would happen but nothing ever did. What a misleading name for a movie too. They want you to think it is like Animal House when it is really just an annoying couple that won't shut up yet manage to say nothing.

Ratched (2020)
What a mess!
24 September 2020
Ratched wants to be Hitchcockian and has that cinematic feel (probably the only thing good about it). The music is a blatant rip off of Hitchcock. The problem is that the writers of Ratched, unlike Mr. Hitchcock, have no talent. Additionally, the acting is completely over the top. I have to think a lot of that has to do with the directing. There were many time I was laughing at the corniness and stupidity of the dialogue, acting and story. My biggest problem with this, however, is that the story does not fit with the original nurse Ratched. There is no reason to think that the events in this mess of a story are what created the infamous nurse Ratched that everyone loves to hate! I really cannot believe this mess was picked up by Netflix. Even more unbelievable is the expectation that there will be a second season. If you really like bad B movies you might like mess of a show. If not, there are a lot of better things to watch.

As so many others have written, this show is boring! It is a melodramatic snooze-fest.

Boston Legal (2004–2008)
One of the smartest shows on TV
2 June 2006
I don't always agree with the conclusions made by the show (it can be a little preachy at times), but this is one of the best written shows on TV. It has very smart dialog, usually has a dramatic theme, but is still willing to have fun and make fun of itself from time-to-time. It definitely makes me think and even better it makes me laugh! The interaction between James Spader's Alan Shore and William Shatner's Denny Crane is what really makes this show great. The rest of the cast is very good. Rene Auberjonois plays a perfect stuff shirt and the addition of Candice Bergen was brilliant. The show was even better the first season when it had Rhona Mitra as the very sensual Tara Wilson, but it holds up well even without her (though I wouldn't mind if she came back!).

The Poseidon Adventure (2005 TV Movie)
See the original
21 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
The original movie is so much better than this one. The father's sappy "I love you" speeches made me want to barf (plus, like everything else in this movie it was too predictable). When the old woman dies in the original you feel like you had a real connection with her and you are sad. In this one you didn't really even care because there was no real character development with her. In fact there is no real character development with any of them. And why switch to terrorist? That whole sub-plot just wasted time. I think everyone could predict what was going to happen to the terrorist ... I knew exactly when it was going to happen and how it would happen (loved the Captain Kirk kick in the face). They should have just stuck with the original tidal-wave and then they would have had time to develop the characters better (or they could have taken out a half hour worth of advertisements and developed the characters better). In the end I just didn't care about any of these characters.

Great movie, director's cut is even better on the DVD
14 July 2004
I was really skeptical about this movie before I saw it. To be honest, I'm not an Ashton Kutcher fan (I think his other movies were really bad). This movie, however, he does an excellent job and the writing and directing is much better than the stupid comedies that he has been in (Dude, Where's My Car has to be one of the worst written movies of all time). Kutcher surprised me with how well he does in a dramatic roll. The kids did a really good job in the movie as well.

This movie combines great Science Fiction and a great thriller, which really kept me at the edge of my seat. It also has great stunts and acting. It is very violent at times (if you don't like violence don't see this); the violence is, however, appropriately placed in the setting of the movie.

The DVD is really worth renting or buying. The director's cut is even better than the theatrical cut. The ending of the theatrical cut I think fits better with the movie and the commentary is worth giving a listen. There are also a lot of cool extras about how the movie was shot and the like.

This movie has great acting, story and cinematography. If you like Science Fiction and Thrillers you should like this.
