A great video from the king of pop.
18 July 2011
One of Michael Jackson's last short films for his album "Invincible". I bought this on Itunes. I didn't know what to expect. The short film is really good. It features a smoking hot girl and a great performance from the king of pop himself. This features Michael looking really for the lack of a better word ugly. He looks terrible in this video. None the less a great song, great video, Can't go wrong with this. Features Chris Tucker and Marlon Brando. Usually in his videos there's a long and amazing break dance, like the Thriller dance or the Bad dance. He does some really great stuff in this video. Michael gives an intimidating acting job and never fails to please me with his dance. Highly encourage people to watch this. Last great video. RIP Michael Jackson.

Marnie (1964)
9/10
Underrated Hitchcock Picture
22 January 2011
I had been a huge fan of Hitchcock for a very long time. My mom got me started getting into Hitchcock films. I had seen all of his best remembered or classic films, when for Christmas, she got me The Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection. It had 14 of his best films. Marnie was one of them. I was skeptical of Marnie because it was a box-office failure and it ended the relationship between Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren, (who had been in his previous film The Birds (1963). Originally I found out Grace Kelly was going to play Marnie, but ended up backing out. So, Hedren got the part. I really only watched this film the first time because I wanted to see all of Hitchcock's films, and I thought it was just going to be a boring 2 hour nightmare. This Film was, AMAZING! I was completely blown away by this film and Hedren's and Sean Connery's performances. I regret not seeing this film sooner. This was definitely Hitchcock's last great film until Frenzy (1972). This was an excellent film, and even though this isn't my favorite Hitchcock film, I give it the rating it deserves. I absolutely highly recommend seeing this film if you are a fan of Hitchcock and had doubts of this film, or if you love classic movies. This film is a must.

Fairly Good Mummy Sequel
22 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this mummy film before any other sequel and before I even saw the original one. This film terrified me as a child, it was so scary to see a man in bandages strangling the life out of anyone that came in his way. Even though this isn't the best mummy sequel, I will always remember this one as being a a film that terrified me. But now that I am older I see quite a lot of flaws in this film. First of all, this film has absolutely no new music, the first 15 minutes of the film is basically recycled footage from The Mummy's Hand (1940), and there certain moments in the film where like at the very end when the house is burning down, they show a close up of the mummy engulfed in flames, but then they show a long shot of hardly any flames around him at all. One more thing is they explained in this movie how the fire from the first movie somehow did not stop him, but yet he gets engulfed in another fire and we expect him to be finally dead. The writers of these sequels should have thought a little more when writing this film. This is the weakest mummy film in the series, once you have seen all of them, you will understand why. Also, in every sequel there is a new high priest, the high priest in this one actually dies, how they could have kept the story going for so long, I don't know. Still it's an OK movie and I recommend anyone to see this film if you are a fan of old Universal horror films of if you like to watch badly made sequels.

A Rather Good Universal Monster Film
22 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
After seeing The Mummy (1932), I thought it was one of Universal's best horror films since Frankenstein (1931), I actually didn't even know this movie existed until I got the Legacy Collection. This is probably the best Mummy sequel out of the four sequels made. Even thought it's the best Mummy Sequel, the sequels were corny. The plot dramatically changes from the first film and I also wonder why they waited 8 years before they made this sequel. I prefer Lon Chaney's version of the mummy over Tom Tyler's, really because I think Lon Chaney's mummy looks scarier then Tom Tyler's, But if you didn't know that was Lon Chaney in the last 3 sequels, You wouldn't have known who played the mummy, I can't recognize Lon Chaney. The mummy sequels did scare me as a kid, these really were the only films I was frightened of. Jack Pierce does a beautiful make up job and music is OK, in the next three sequels they kept recycling music from previous mummy films. After this the sequels basically had the same plot that being in every film the high priest and Kharis find somehow another woman who looks like the reincarnated princess Anankha. These films are good to look back at and watch once in awhile, but I think Universal could have done a better job in the sequels to a masterpiece.
