I enjoyed watching "The Rock's" new movie. It is a kids' movie and for what it strives to be it fully delivers.

Dwayne Johnson plays a veteran hockey player, that was denied his chance with the pro's due to a shoulder injury. This seems to mark his life and makes him shatter dreams. This reason brings him to be judged by faeries and sentenced to tooth fairy duty. The problems and lessons that occur from now on will make him rethink his way of life and put it in order.

Great film for the kids, good film to watch if you are an adult. Recommend it if you want to sit down for a few moments and have a few good laughs.

Avatar (2009)

CGI, James Cameron and...nothing

I finally got to see the all so acclaimed AVATAR movie. And it was nothing special. I admit, the CGIs were worth every penny, but that's all. Maybe my expectations were to high, but c'mon, this is the guy that made Terminator, The Abyss and Titanic. He has a standard to uphold. I was expecting the story and the action to keep me at the edge of my seat, and... nothing. It actually looked to me like more of a western movie set somewhere into the future. I am sorry, but after seeing it, my only conclusion is that it has its sales only from the fact it has been so hugely promoted that people actually convinced themselves that this actually is that good. I give it a 5 star out of 10 for the effects. If you want to see things go bang go see it, if not stay home.

The Marine 2 (2009 Video)

For what it's supposed to be it's OK

First of all I didn't expect much of this movie. But I actually got surprised a little. The story is nothing special, but surprisingly, the acting is decent. Ted actually gave a good performance taking into account that he is not an actor and he is at his first ever movie. Decent action, but now I know Vince loves the superman gimmick a lot, and I do mean A lot, but this is a little to much, he breaks his arm, but still uses it, he survives an explosion and a mountain coming down on him. I know it might be just me, but i do think that hat pulls the movie down a little.

Anyway, if you want a little entertainment on an afternoon, I recommend this movie, it works.

Stargate Universe (2009–2011)

When I heard about the plot of SGU, I didn't feel downhearted by the cancellation of Atlantis. I said, well it's early, but the new show sounds great.

Then I saw the characters, well except Ming-Na and Phillips, they inspired me that the show has some people to start with, as Carlyle, Louis and Blue were good actors in my opinion. But then I saw the show itself. I had the patients to watch all 10 episodes until now, but the 1st thing that came to mind when the show took a break was :THANK GOD!!!- and I'm an atheist.

I actually particularly remember the "Time" episode, where I looked at the time, and I saw there were 10 minutes left of the show and I was.. O.K. and whens the action gonna start. It is just awful. Where are those stupid(as in hilarious) remarks from military leader, and while we're on the subject, who's the expedition lieder? They dumped one of the 2 characters that made the show alright on a remote planet. This is actually the only thing that makes me wonder if i should see the rest of the episodes from the first season(if it will make it to the end). Maybe he will meet the aliens that crashed the ship and get back after Destiny for revenge.(Please do this, it's not the best script but it is better than what is now!!!!!).

In the end one more suggestion: either get Chloe character to go naked on camera( she's annoying but hot) or kill her. I do not see the point of the slut as a main character.

Weak show. Not Stargate at all. A 3 for the potential, I'll wait to see the end of the season, maybe they'll make a miracle.
