The Thick of It: Episode #4.7 (2012)
So good
Just finished rewatching the entire series and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sorry it came to an end. Some episodes are better than others but overall a worthy 9/10.
Malcolm Tucker will be sadly missed. Along with Rigsby, Norman Stanley Fletcher and Basil Fawlty, he is one of TV's great characters.
Billions (2016)
Simply the best
Having watched Season 1 & 2, Billions is the best series I have ever seen (and I've watched many) and the only series I have ever scored a 10. Great casting, great acting, great script, great story line and great characters (Axe, Chuck, Wags, Taylor, all of them. Not a weak one to be seen). Unmissable. Bring on Series 3 as soon as possible please.
Line of Duty (2012)
Nearly a great series
**** SPOILER ALERT ****
Series 4 - The first 5 episodes were hugely entertaining. I was looking forward to the final episode as were a number of friends.... we were all of the same opinion that it turned out to be hugely disappointing. Far too much going on. Guns. Downright nasty people who turned out to have a heart of gold..... It's a shame. If the sixth episode had been written as well as the first 5 then series 4 would have been a great rather than just a good series.
Insidious (2010)
Started OK, downhill from there
My other half and i were looking forward to this as we'd seen both paranormal films and liked them both. unfortunately we fell into the trap of seeing the trailer and thinking that it looked good. thought i'd learnt my lesson about trailers but obviously not. Insidious started off OK but quickly turned into just another horror film with a lack of ideas. the film really started to go downhill when the mothers friend appeared. the 'out of body experience' was laughable and really spoilt the film. we both thought that sequence was awful. it looked like something a bunch of school kids had put together with no money to spend. very disappointing considering how good paranormal activity was. it just goes to show that less is more.
