The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor (2022)
Kiss of Death for the Book of Fett
Fett is a Flop!
Actually, if Fett died in this series, rather than another bounty hunter I'd have rated it higher (a least a 4). I was hoping, no, WISHING, for IG-11 (or IG-88) or Dengar, to turn up in this series and wipe out Fett. If Fett died, it would have been bearable.
The last episode is poor (laugable) the worst episode in a Star Wars live action series. And embarrassing...
There is too much rubbish around this episode.
The robots cannot hit ANYONE with their lasers. Not one kill... and these things are control by AI. Forget Aimbot, their targeting is worse than any Stormtrooper. And seriously. R2-D2 pilots an X-Wing fighter with Grogu... and couldn't use it in battle to save the day. That would've been better....(giving me a flashback of Ep 1. Though).
The reinforcements to save the WHOLE city turn up in a convertible with a laser? With people just packed in the side. A battle for the whole CITY!!! Involved about 30 people.
Someone also needs to read combat tactics 101 and the three F's. Find them, Flank them and F... Them. Flanking is obviously not a thing in the Star Wars universe.
I think I'm close to done. I was hoping that the neon bikes would be destroyed... but no! The Boba turns up riding a Rancore.... and... well, that for me was when it can be compared to The Fonz riding a Jet Ski to jump over the shark?
Put a fork in The Book of Fett.... it's cooked.
The Power of the Dog (2021)
Oh!
I rated it a 3.... until the last 5 minutes. In which I upped to a 7. Nice twist, better than other Oscar nominations. Peter playing the long game who eventually has the last laugh over Phil. Having learnt Phils weaknesses, Peter eventually uses them against Phil. The movie was VERY slow, at time I thought I'd turn it off. Glad I stuck with it. But not gripping.
Ted Lasso: Inverting the Pyramid of Success (2021)
RIP - Ted Lasso
Season 2 took all the great things about Season 1 and flushed them down the toilet. I'm done, very disappointing as it became a show about drama rather than football. Nate's character is despicable, a character who spits at his own reflection, when truly he's spitting on everything that made Season 1 so watchable. I'm out; as Ted Lasso will not attract viewers to binge watch S1 & S2 to get to S3. Some awesome characters, but not enough to keep the show going.
Succession: This Is Not for Tears (2019)
Fantastic!
As much as I enjoyed this series (and the episode was somewhat predictable), this show has been wrapped up very well. You could end it here and many viewers would be content thanks to Logan's wry smile in the final scene. Brilliant cast, wonderfully acted, brilliant direction. Bravo!
The Walking Dead: Warning Signs (2018)
It's getting worse
I'm done. Maggie and another girl (Tara?) go out looking for walkers, find some. And (Tara?) has NO WEAPON? But luckily there's a pitchfork nearby? How did this person survive for so long? The acting is getting worse. The execution scene is laughable. Goodbye TWD, you've jumped the shark.
Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero (2018)
Court Martial - Doggy bag included.
Watched the trailer. 0/10 The only people rating this higher must have a connection with the film, or have been paid to review the film. This movie deserves a single use dog bag.
My Pet Dinosaur (2017)
This is a terrible move
Perhaps the worst film I've seen for a long time and if I could I would provide a negative score for wasting my time.
It's like a 7th grader wrote, directed, edited and produced this for a school assignment.
The acting and writing is atrocious and the story line jumps around and there is little flow to scenes. The 'US ARMY' guys just turn up and it's the same guys with an assortment of military gear. Then when they start shooting it is comical, because the the firing a sound track from possibly every other army movie and no recoil and/or muzzle flash, and really this is just the an example... there are many, many more.
If you want to watch a film/TV show with great acting from younger actors, watch 'Super 8' or 'Stranger Things'.
