Cute and Colorful
21 February 2022
I'll admit, I was kind of expecting to be disappointed, as I am a bit with Spiderman and His Amazing Friends (which repeats a moral every 3rd sentence)...but I'm pleasantly surprised with this show. The characters are visually adorable and unique, a young twist on our old faves. They get into cute little adventures and Alice obviously needs to bake or bring along something...and it's usually magical and fun, as are the adventures (it is Wonderland!) The voice actors are superb and the deck of cards is a hoot. It's a fun show for little children to older ones.

Its rough

Warning: Spoilers
With quality shows like Bluey, and Puppy Dog Pals on Disney Jr, I have a hard time enjoying Spiderman. The writing is absolutely mundane. For example...Peter needs to use "patience" in one episode, but that fact is repeated ad nauseam. I can understand twice or even 3 times. Once to introduce the "lesson," a 2nd time to let it be known that (patience) IS the lesson (by the fact that the word has now been repeated). And maybe a 3rd in summary. But 6,7,8,9 plus times? I think it's almost insulting. Children are not bumbling fools, but this show sure seems to be written as if they are.

I honestly think any average child above 4 may find this boring. They may "think" they enjoy it or MUST enjoy it, bc after all, its Spiderman. But I think deep down, even they'll feel its too simple.

The animation is decent and fun. I personally don't like their strange bodies (everyones) with the ginormous clubbed feet. They make Fred Flinstone look svelte. But hey...its a cartoon.

I'd probably want to give it fewer stars...but again, it's a cartoon and I can't take things too seriously lol. But I'll admit, as a Marvel fan myself, and knowing the other shows that are out there, I'm admittedly disappointed. (Sorry!)

SCARY
9 July 2021
Before I begin, there are QUITE a few reviews on here containing spoilers, but without labeling them as such. If you don't want to read about the entire movie, do not read these reviews. Mine does not contain any spoilers.

This movie went from 0-60 VERY quickly. I did not watch the original first, and I normally don't like remakes more than originals, particularly when Wes Craven is involved (love his work). But this was just WOW.

I believe Wes Craven was involved in this...if only to help oversee and give input. Maybe that's why it's so fantastic. But I give credit where credit is due and Aja created one hell of a horror.

The story is nothing to write home about, but the thrills and chills ARE. If you love horror...you WILL enjoy this. If horror movies scare you or you're not a horror buff...put your diapers on. For real

I do NOT scare easily, and I don't even know if I was scared or just in a full state of "OMG" the entire time. But yeah...I was fully immersed and it was FUN. And I don't mean funny. No...uh uh.

I can't quite remember but I believe I watched at least part of the original later on...and lemme tell ya...this remake is BETTER...for SURE.

For fun and thrills I ought to give it a 10. I gave it a 9 simply bc it's not exactly Oscar material. Then again, what horror is?

I'm not going to tell you any of it. All I can do is HIGHLY recommend this if you want a fun, shocking, edge-of-your-seat 2 hours.

I'll admit, I was in-tune to who the hero or protagonist was early on...but near the end he/she is almost forgotten. I had a jump-outta-my-seat moment in which I realized 1/2 second prior and called out the hero's name in the nick of time (and then they appeared). I think it will surprise most people but in a very enjoyable way. Some people may think it's a certain someone. I FULLY believe it's their friend. (Sorry to be vague but I just cannot say more).

Highly recommend this. I was very pleasantly surprised, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

You guys were the best. I'm sure I'll love the New Crew but will surely and fondly miss my OGs Rolly & Bingo. I can't imagine it being the same without you.

A little throwback to SNL
19 October 2020
I have to give it a 10 just for the little SNL "Blue Oyster Cult" COWBELL shout out. Don't Fear the Reaper played for about 1/2 second when Bingo and Rolly were in their turnstyler in their doghouse during their "Going on a mission" intro segment

Puppy Dog Pals (2017–2023)

Best Show Ever
13 July 2020
I do not even have kids. I put the Disney Channel on all day to keep my pets entertained by the music/voices particularly if I'm not around. So its ALWAYS on and Puppy Dog Pals is seriously soooo entertaining and cute. I've probably watched every episode (except for a few of the most recent) at least 5x a piece. People are saying that it's not educational, and maybe it's not in the classroom sense, but it does teach values which is just as important. It teaches about loyalty, love, and the importance of friendship, neighbors and family. It teaches children to tell the truth, teaches them to share, it teaches them to be kind, even when someone is not always kind to you (Cupcake) and that it's also okay to make a mistake. Other people are complaining about Bob. Yes, Bob is goofy and eccentric. The whole point of Bob having a particular issue in certain episodes is so that Bingo and Rolly can go on a mission to help SOLVE the problem. Bob character is MEANT to be the way he is for the plot of the show to work. But I like him, he's a goofy, charming genius who loves his pups, and they love him. The scenery is great, kids get to learn a little bit about other countries, and other states. They get to learn about other animals and what makes them unique (such as, the Cheetah is the fastest animal on land...or how Beavers cut sticks for dams). They learn about where things come from (such as, maple syrup comes from trees). So yes, it is educational because it teaches kids about the world and how different places, people and animals are unique. And while doing all of this it is extremely humorous, cute and fully entertaining. I like it as much as any really good adult show and never tire of it. I hope it remains on tv for a long long time
