Cinematics and Gameplay have never been so well fused!
5 November 2010
In all fairness, the first 3 MGS games felt kind of clunky, with the bird's eye style of isometric style, it was really hard considering it is a stealth game. MGS4GoP changes everything. This is the game that every company wished they had control over, it is the game all the developers put at the top of their resume, the game they have never taken so seriously.

This game brought me to my knees by the end, and when it was over, I begged for more, which there is, an excellent online mode that could honestly be a stand-alone experience. As the credits role, you reflect on the time you took, and remember the story and the plot, and smile, knowing that this was the perfect ending to any series of any form of media ever.

The gameplay is strategic and fun, you will never get bored with it. There is a crazy amount of weapons and items to use, many have a purpose, many are bonuses for playing with. There is immense replay value, as the game is structured to be play multiple times over.

The story is nothing short of a masterpiece. The plot is intricate and interesting, full of twists and conflicts, all keeping you anxious as you near the ends of levels. The story is played out by in game rendered cutscenes, but worry not, the graphics in MGS4 are probably the best graphics on any next-gen systems, and while watching, you'll notice little details and other things that make the world seem more alive.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is a candidate for best sequel, game of the year, best game ever, best game on PS3, best story, and best protagonist: Solid Snake. Snake is such a lovable character, and he puts on his best and final performance in his final adventure. Rest Snake, you deserve it. MGS4 will always have a special reserved spot in my heart.

Whenever you get the chance, buy this epic game. You will not be disappointed. Gamers everywhere need to take their hats off to Snake, he put on an unforgettable show.

Perfect Ending To a Perfect Trilogy
15 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
As sequels go on, changes need to be made to keep it fresh. A good sequel introduces new characters an mechanics, and updates old features and makes them new. MP3 (Metroid Prime 3) does this seamlessly.

The plot of the game is top notch, as all the events of the first two Primes perfectly comes full circle, providing a final act that flawlessly ends the trilogy.

As mentioned above, new changes need to be made to keep it fresh; an example of this is the open world. Instead of one planet to explore, Samus has FOUR planets to traverse. All of them are different and very fleshed out. Along the lines of new features, Samus can remotely control her infamous gunship, for bombing runs, picking up and transporting large objects, and landing to provide a save station. It can even transport Samus between multiple landing site on each planet, and, of course, between planets.

In regards to characters, voice acting is introduced for the first time in a metroid game, and its great. Whether its from soldiers of fellow bounty hunters. The three other hunters that join Samus act as the bosses. They aren't giant monsters, they are all around Samu's size, so their fights involve strategy. With that said, all the bosses in MP3 are very fun, and most have secret alternatives to fighting them, which are fun to figure out.

The gameplay received a complete revamp as well, its still a first person game, but aiming is done with the wii pointer and the remote, and it works very well. You feel as if the remote becomes Samus's arm cannon. People fear motion controls, but MP3 demonstrates how well it can work. The lock on mechanic is still used, but it centers Samus's view on the enemy, rather than the weak spot, so you have to choose what part of the enemy to shoot, and find the weak spot. The Scan visor also returns, with a much more detailed version. You can scan almost everything in the game, and get useful information. It doesn't just tell you an enemy;s weakness, it gives hints and scientific data to help you.

In regards to items and weapons, MP3 goes back to Super Metroid in style, and it rocks. Classic items like Missiles, Boost Ball, Screw Attack, and Grappel Beam. New ones are introduce like the Ice Missiles, Nova Beam, and Grappel Lasso. Finding them is rewarding, and using them feels great. Even the ship can be upgraded.

Closing Comments: This is the best wii game of 2007, and possibly the best wii game, standing up to Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Red Steel 2, despite its age. It may be the best Metroid game to date as well. It is a perfect blend of action, adventure, exploration, and story telling. Buy it, or buy The Metroid Prime Trilogy on wii. 10/10.

Best Action Movie of 2010 So Far!
14 August 2010
Thies movie brings back nostalgia of the 80's run and gun action movie, and here, its a GOOD thing! All the acting is great, and all the characters are fun and interesting. I was smiling the whole movie, the dialog is fantastic. It's like Die Hard was mixed with pulp fiction, and had a baby with Kill Bill; Its very good and fluent, almost like its all just improv, or like its real mercenaries talking. I wont give away the plot, but the action and dialog really keep it going.

The cast is the best too. All characters are perfect, they all compliment each other in the best way. Jet Li, Jason Statham, and Stallone are the perfect three heroes for any movie. By the final act, the main characters are pretty well developed, with plenty of back story for them. The action choreography is some of the best I've seen in a while, all the action sequences are very fun to see and are thrilling. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering what would happen next.

Closing Comments: Its a very good movie, the perfect action film. The sound, acting, dialog, and action come together to make the best action film of 2010 so far. GO SEE IT NOW!!!
