Cracking entertainment.

Warning: Spoilers
Just back from seeing this amazing film. Read the criticisms before I went and was a bit unsure of what to expect. But what a fantastic surprise this film was. A laugh out loud visual feast. The CGI was outstanding, the storyline was very well done, direction was brilliant and disappointed is not a word I would use any where near this film. I grew up in the Tintin era of comics and hardback books, and did not feel at any point that this film deviated from the originals. I could go on for quite a while about the actors who voiced the parts and also the direction and the brilliance of the CGI work but I won't. Great film, go and watch it and enjoy! This film is a glimpse into the future of cinema. To all the die-hards who have knocked this film by not being true to the books and comics, stop taking yourselves so seriously.

Bad Bad Bad
6 September 2011
I'm completely fed up with Cop drama's and hospital stuff.

But this caught my eye. Being a different slant to a cop program.

The first one came across OK just OK. But the second! not researched, Improbable, weak rubbish!!! My sink could write better scripts. Which is where this program is going.

The over acting is, cringe worthy. But I will for the most part, put that down to Very bad screen play.Coupled with even worse directing.

The pregnant partner. I think I know where that's going, Gush Gush.. The guy who plays the captain. Couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.

"Great work detectives" Something I think the captain, will say in every episode. Like its a real surprise that women can do that job.

all that's missing from that statement is. Him ruffling up their hair as he say's it. Then giving them a dog treat.

It is so bad I'm embarrassed, to admit I watched it.

So good would def see again and again!

Warning: Spoilers
Didn't know what to expect as I didn't read any reviews beforehand. It is truly an excellent film. Has a good shelf life as I would see it again tomorrow. Bradley Cooper is an amazing actor, and is convincing in this role. He has the ability to be able to switch from comedy to serious acting without any bother and still be a convincing character. What I wouldn't give to have a handful of those pills!!! I didn't feel it was totally predictable, and the plot is gripping. Had me sitting on the edge of my seat within the first few scenes. Well directed and acted throughout. Not too many special effects, which seems to be he mainstay of films these days, but enough to keep the viewer surprised. A few twists and turns but nothing too complex, doesn't need much thinking about. Sufficient to keep me interested. All in all an really good film, could it be based on fact? Seems possible in the not too distant future (?) Hope I'm around to see it!!

Not good
2 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Just wasted an hour and a half of my life watching this rubbish. Just where to start..... Crusades, fronted by 2 Americans (?) so considering America wasn't discovered until AFTER the crusades, mm mm. What on earth is Stephen Graham, a Liverpudlian, doing talking with an American accent??? Especially in a film loosely based on British crusades. A BIG fail. Very weak storyline, acting so wooden by Mr Cage, you can almost see the leaves sprouting out of his ears! A long long film very predictable and boring. So this film was written around an event in history that is out of date by 200 years, crusades where from 1095 ad until 1270 ad. The film is told in the 1300's. Take my advice and give this film a very wide berth, don't even bother watching on DVD, it really isn't worth it.

$#*! My Dad Says (2010–2011)

Cannot believe how bad this is
21 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I cannot believe some people have written positive feedback!! I wonder if they are the people who have stickers on the back of their car saying 'my other car is a Porsche'??? This show is AWFUL. No funny lines, canned laughter at every available opportunity and never in the right places, if there is a right place. William Shatner was simply brilliant in Boston Legal and I expected so much more from him. The script is very weak and simply just not funny. The whole show is based around one or two phrases that the writers father used on twitter, which were funny in that context but not in this show. I managed to watch the first episode but admit to turning the sound down as to avoid the fake laughter. Why not film in front of a live audience? Maybe the answer lies in the fact that it isn't funny. Very sad.

Nearly to bad for words
31 May 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Well this film was so bad I joined so I could leave this comment.

Very dull script, followed closely by dull acting. Mis-casting. rubbish special effects. I have read a lot of the comments on this film and have to wonder if I watched the same one.

The script was at best flimsy and very weak.

Mr Hopkins seems to play the same person in every film now and is getting boring to watch. The lead role given to Mr Toro is completely miss-cast. What was that wig about? The script must have been written by a ten year old. Toro's limited acting skills could never not hold it up.

To think this was made off the back of a classic. That is seventy years old. This film relied totally on gore and violence and nothing else.

Dramatic pauses with eyes flickering about where the script had just sort of run out of things to say.

In parts the man in a hairy costume strikes again!!

The only WOW this film gave me was WOW this is so bad I'm going to leave, and ask for my money back. Failed big time to entertain me for a second! I had been told the film wasn't very good but wanted to make my own mind up. Wish I hadn't bothered and watched some paint dry instead.
