A Good Warning.
14 May 2006
I went to go watch this film with a few friends of mine. To me, I thought this was going to be one of those commercial garbage films! When in fact, it wasn't.

Half way through the film, the three "back packers" were so annoying (especially with their fowl language and being so sex active towards women)and sounded just like kids who had just come out of high school and took a trip to Europe. The film, however, did display how Europe appears. For example, the Dutch are allowed to smoke, and in Slovakia, there are some real dangerous street kids. It was what anyone person would discover traveling with a few random people.

And after that, this was what truly scared me ever! It is a known fact that you could get attacked or you could be secretly being monitored / watched by someone. And before you know it, you are his / her victim. Ooh! Very disturbing! An uneasy feeling echoed through my body as I watched every death scene that I didn't want to do an all-over Overseas trip!I feared that and I still do today!

Over all, this film was a good warning as it warns you not to go blundering about. Take the advice which displays in this film when watching it. Watch out!

No Parent Would Live A Normal Life If Their Kids Died Before Them.
1 May 2006
A tragic story about five girls: Cecilia Lisbon (Hanna.R.Hall) , Lux Lisbon (Kirsten Dunst), Bonnie Lisbon (Chelse Swain), Mary Lisbon (A.J.Cook) and Therese Lisbon (Lesley Hayman) who all committed suicide due to their dominating mother (Kathleen Turner) and father (James Woods). The parents were so dominating, for example, the parents never allowed the girls to throw a party! And I believe that also refers to not having a birthday party. How strange! The parents were pretty paranoid about their children due to having so many! Good Lord! And that very evening when the girls had their very first party, Cecilia sure did kill herself that time by landing on the spiked fence in their front yard. Tragic! And then, Mr. Lisbon, the girls' friends: Kevin Head (Joe Roncetti), Tim Weiner (Jonathan Tucker), Jo Hill Conley (Hayden Christensen), Chase Buell (Anthony DeSimone) and Paul Baldino (Robert Schwartzman) started seeing Cecilia's ghost. That suggested that your deceased loved ones will always be with you.

It was very interesting during that period in America because, there were 80 suicides a day with children in America which made it 30 000 a year! And there was nothing wrong with parents cocooning their children from danger. But they shouldn't go over board. For example, when Lux rocked up at home from the Prom at the early hours of the morning, she then shut the house for maximum security in isolation. And the girls had a curfew daily when school ended.

And finally, the creepiest moment in the film was when the girls communicated at midnight with the boys, and when they came over, they found Bonnie hanging from the roof in the basement, Mary with her head stuffed in the oven, Therese took an over dose of sleeping pills. And when morning came, the paramedics found Lux gassed to death by exhaust fumes in the garage! When the bodies where seen at midnight, the music which played gave the most uneasiest, eeriest feeling. Very sensational! And when Mr and Mrs. Lisbon moved away from the house, the dim atmosphere from inside the home was amazing as it stood in silence. And the music gave me that empty feeling. Wow! This was a brilliant movie and is definitely worth owning, renting and watching.

"When Harry And Lloyd Met".
3 April 2006
Rhose Island, 1969. Harry Dunne (Derek Richardson)was born. It was so funny when he was about to be born, he bit the doctor. And the doctor said that Harry was a baby who liked to play hide and seek and he was a shy one! Eight years later, Harry had an imaginary friend named Captain Rob and the cops always had to save Rob from from the well in Harry's backyard! Ha! Ha! Ha! And ten years later, Harry's mother (Mimi Rogers) sent Harry and Rob on a treasure hunt. And that was, finding the school! Ha!Ha! Lloyd Christmas (Eric Christian Olsen), on the other hand was an adopted child and his father was a janitor of a school. And they together lived in the school.

Lloyed and Harry eventually bumped into each other and Lloyd chipped his tooth when they both went around a corner. Harry was running away from a Rot Veiler and Lloyd, however, was looking for the when in fact, he was living in the school! Lloyd had a bully named Turk (Elden Henson) was sure was a real thug! And Lloyd also met a girl named Jessica Mathika (Rachel Nichols). Lloyd and Harry , however, attended special classes which were in the school's cafeteria and was run by the Lunch Lady, Ms.Heller (Cheri Oteri). And Lloyd and Harry had to find students who were "special" like them.

Lloyd first got a boy with casts named Toby (Josh Braaten), Turk, Carl (William Lee Scott), who injured himself in a Football match, an exchange student named Ching Chong (Michelle Krusiec) and a half horse, half human boy named Lewis (Shia LaBoeuf). They were the "Special Needs Class Of 1986".

They had a kiff bus. It was so hilarious when Jessica was chasing "The Special Needs Bus" because, she thought it special. And then, the bus went flying into the air in slow motion and inside, everyone was screaming in a decreased tone. And then , when Jessica went flying into the air, she landed with a thud! Ha!Ha!Ha! It was funny when Harry was spending time with Jessica at her house, Harry thought Jessica was making him hot when in fact , it was the heater which he was sitting on which it making him hot! And then, he went to the bathroom and when he removed his hand from his back pocket, and he sniffed his hand due to it being covered in a brown substance. It was chocolate! Mmm! That is something lovely to snack on when you needed to. And when he removed the rest of the chocolate from his back pocket, he threw it up into the air and, it went everywhere! And he wasn't able to clean it up! Lol.

I was so charmed when Lloyd was talking to a dog when he was outside Jessica's home. And Harry repeated after him: "Oh, I remember you. How could I forget those hairy nipples?!" And then Jessica's father, Mr.Walter (Bob Saget) entered the room, he asked Jessica why Harry was talking to Jessica like that. And Jessica said, "It's because he's special". Lol! And then! Mr.Walter entered the bathroom and yelled how harry didn't know how to use a toilet when it just chocolate everywhere.Ha!Ha!Ha!

It was hysterical to see Jessica take on Harry's mother. It was one of Lloyed's dreams about Harry's mom. And who would fall in love with Lloyd. And suddenly, Harry appeared and Harry was shocked to see it!! Lol! Another amusing moment was when Harry thought he found the treasure which he had been looking for all this time when in fact, it was a chest which belonged to Mr.Collins (Eugene Levy), the Headmaster of the school. Collins' chest had the scams. And soon, all the kids of "The Special Class" realized this was all a scam! So, to get Collins back, the gang created a huge version of Collins in pirate style and it spoke in Collins voice about his "Grand Master Plan". And it sure was the crime of the century! He was trying to make a run off with all the extra money he and Ms.Heller made with that "Special Class". The kids weren't even getting an education!

Now, to end this review. I didn't mention all the other laughs in the movie because, they were all clichés and I am sure you would recognize where they got the ending for the movie. But anyways, the film still was fun with style. And you could see that they were even worse when they were kids! Ha!Ha!Ha!

Avoid this!
1 April 2006
The make over of the 1979 Horror Classic : "The Amityville Horror" was a disaster! All my friends at school told me it was "brilliant" when it was not. I am saying this because, I have been doing research on the Amityville Horror since I was 12 years old.

The movie begin with so much suspense, and it was shocking to see what Ronald Butch De Feo, Jr did to his family on the 13th of November 1974. But what disappointed me was that the film did not show the total truth of the Amityville Murders. It seems, however, that Ronnie had a tiny baby sister named Jodie! No!! He had an 18 year old sister named Dawn who stayed on the third floor and a 13 year old sister on the second floor. And none of the family members woke up when the killings began at 3:15 a.m.! But the film still does reveal most of the truth in the beginning of the film. For example, all the bodies were found face down in their beds , and Ronnie did hear voices coming from inside the house telling him to murder his family. The house did have a sign outside saying : "High Hopes". And, of course, a very similar appearance of how Mr and Mrs. Lutz looked and George's change in behavior while living in the house and very good mentioning John Ketchum who practiced witch craft on the property before the house was built.

As for the rest of the film, it was just rubbish! The house was not built in 1692, it was built in 1925! And when the baby sitter came, she actually only came to babysit Chelsea Lutz, which was meant to be Missy Lutz! In this version, the baby sitter came to babysit the kids, she was a pot addict and she was crazy to mention to the kids about what happened to the De Feos. The baby sitter was actually meant to be a normal school girl who was locked in Missy's closet and was eventually let out by Mr and Mrs.Lutz with bleeding hands and was not meant to be cast off to hospital like in this film! And finally, Jodie. Jodie was not a member of the De Feo family, she was Missy's imaginary friend which was a demonic pig! And she was causing all the paranormal disturbances.

Do you want to find out what really happened? Watch the original Amityville Horror. And if that doesn't appeal to you, watch the following documentaries: Amityville Horror: The Hauntings and The Amityville Horror: Horror or Hoax.

Avoid this crap!

"Fish are friends, not food!"
15 January 2006
I had heard of this movie over a number of times, but I never got to see it. And finally, last year I did. The film had spectacular graphics of the under water world and the water looked very inviting (in the Austalian Reef). And it had laughs from beginning to end! There were some interesting things I learned from the film: Clown Fishs' instincts and how many eggs they can lay. And of course, what goes on in a fish's mind.

Anyways, the film was about two Clown fish named Coral (Elizabeth Perkins) and Marlin (Albert Brooks). And one day, Coral was attacked by a barracuda and Marlin found one of his eggs a little wounded. And when the egg turned into a fish, it had a pectoral fin that was bigger than the other. Marlin named him Nemo (Alexander Gould).

One day, Nemo was abducted on a field trip by a dentist (Bull Hunter). The dentist thought Nemo needed a safe place to stay. Man! That abduction scene's suspense KILLED me! Marlin went around looking for help in order to find Nemo and he bumped into a fish named Dory (Ellen DeGeneres). Fortunately, Dory suffered from a short term memory loss and she and Marlin went around in circles.

Later, they bumped into an intimidating Great White shark named Bruce (Barry Humphries), a Hammerhead named Anchor (Eric Bana) and a Raggedtooth or a blue shark named Chum (Bruce Spence. They always had meetings about fish are friends, not food. CUTE! They have a little sensitivity. HA!HA!HA! And when Dory and Marlin tried to escape, Bruce and his companions went after them and Bruce got a bomb stuck in his mouth , spat it out, and he and his companions ran! That explosion scene was great. And it was funny when two pelican's were sitting on the water and a bubble came up from behind one of them and the other said "nice" and flew away.

Nemo woke up in a tank in the Dentist's room in Sydney. And he made friends with the following in the tank: Peach, a starfish (Allison Janney), Gill, a triangular fish (Willem Dafoe), Bubbles, another triangular fish (Stephen Root), Deb, another triangular fish (Vicki Lewis), Gurgle, a colorful fish (Austin Pendleton)and a Jacques, a shrimp (Joe Ranft).

Back in the ocean, Dory and Marlin bumped into a beautiful light that belonged to a VICIOUS Angler fish! WHOA! And back in the tank, Nemo was known as "Shark Bate". Everyone in the tank were planning to escape and Nemo too. And back in the ocean, it was amazing how those Sardines indicated to Marlin and Dory to where Nemo was taken. And amazing to see Dory and Marlin swim through that school of Jelly fish.

When Nemo was told to bust the generator of the tank. My heart pumped when Nemo nearly went into the fan! And again, back in the sea; there was an awesome scene with Dory and Marlin surfing with a turtle who was 150 years old named Crush (Andrew Stanton) with all the other turtles through the Austalian Current. And it was So magnificent to see the baby turtle Squirt (Nicholas Bird) surf! A pelican named Nigel (Geoffrey Rush) told Nemo that his father had been looking for him. And back in the water, Dory and Marlin were trapped in a whales body. Awesome GRAPHICS! And they were spat out from the whale's spout.

And finally, Dory and Marlin got the surface and they were carted off by Nigel off to the Dentist's room. It was hysterically funny when those seagulls went after Nigel saying: "Mine!Mine!Mine!" And their beaks went through a sail of a yacht and they were still saying it! Now I knew where my Big Brother Chris Isherwood picked that phrase up from.

And back in the Dentist's room, the Dentsit's child Darla (LuLu Ebiling)(also known as "The Fish Killer". You should've seen how terrible Darla was to Nemo when he was playing dead. And finally, Nemo escaped through the sewage pipe and back into the ocean. And when Dory bumped into Nemo and he introduced himself to her. Dory forgot everything and said: "Oh! That's a nice name". And SUDDENLY, Dory got caught up in a net, Nemo told all the other fish who were stranded in it to keep swimming and so did Marlin say it. And everyone broke out and were FREE to go.

In the end, everything went back to normal... and the fish from the Dentist's room escaped. Another fishtastic film with fishtastic surprises!!!

A Confusing Film.
11 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
A man named Gary Wallace (Tom Hulce) looked for a medium named Martha Travis (Rosanna Arquette) who disappeared after her father's death. Gary found her living in the woods and he had been tracking this girl down for 10 years. This was confusing in the beginning because, you see her father alive! Weird. This movie began where it ended. Anyways, here's the rest of the review:

Martha worked at a church as a medium and she lived with her father named Walter Travis (Jason Robards) at a hotel. And that day, she saw a vision of a woman's husband, her name was Mary Kuron (Linda Pierce). And her husband's name was Tom (Olek Krupa) and Martha believed that he was dead! And when Mary returned home, he was okay until she went out of the lounge. Tom got shot while he was watching t.v. BIZARRE!

After the incident, Martha and Walter went to go speak to a guy named Jack Callow (Jon Thompson) to discuss the incident. Fortunately, Jack's wife Eva (Helen Boldwin) refused to say who Mary was with. That guy was the person who shot Mary's Husband! He certainly was looking for TROUBLE!

Again, at the church. Martha said to a woman named Jacky Adams (Marty Terry) that her deceased friend had seen her husband, Bill. And then, she said to a woman that her brother named Louis is with his twin brother Jimmy, when in fact one of them was dead! And soon, Jacky believed that her husband Bill was dead.

And not so soon, Martha was told to go because, everyone thought she was a witch. And when Wallis popped in to the church to see Martha, she had left. And he finally found her and he warned her about Tom Kuron's murderer was going to kill her that evening. And that night, the murderer came after her while she was communicating to another person's deceased love one. Martha shrieked, she told everyone in the church to run , gun shots went off, and everyone ran out like crazy people.

And when Martha came home, her father took off with her the moment she came in! And the killer shot out of Martha's room and he tried to shot Martha down the passage. But strangely, the bullets went through her and they killed her father! And followed by an investigator named Irving Weinberg (Ron Rosenthal) when he was coming out of the elevator. And when the killer came downstairs, he got shot and he went through a wood and glass door.

And before Gary left the church, Martha told him that her father didn't know that all this was not a dream. And she disappeared. And Wallace went back into the wood's , to Martha's house to find her. NOW! This was the strangest moment that I was talking about: A car that was seen stuck in a leaf pile was seen again and Martha's house was totally shambled. And as you all knew....it was in the woods. Weird END!

"Don't let them get the girl".
6 January 2006
A cult crime about a mother named Jenna O' Conner (Angela Bettis) who ran away and left her daughter Cody (Holliston Coleman) with her Aunt, Maggie O' Conner (Kim Basinger). Maggie brought her up and she soon discovered that Cody had ADHD. And 3 years later, she had amazing abilities. For example, she could spin a bowl lid, spin a doll's car, make the snow in the paperweight move about, healed a pigeon, magically lit the candles in the church one by one, etc.

When Cody's babysitter, Maria (Anne Betancourt) said to Cody, if she prayed, good things would happen. On the following day, a child named Martin (Nicholas Marti Salgo) was kidnapped and found later at the bottom of the lake by police with a symbol of the devil on him! And soon, a girl named Cheri (Christina Ricci)ended up in Maggie doctor room. Cheri said that her friends wanted her to end up in a morgue because , she wanted to quit her club! She saw a vision that "they" were going to get the girl and she said to Maggie that she must NOT let them get the girl.

It was fascinating to hear what that satanic symbol symbolized. According to John Travis, the symbol was used in Ceremonial Sacrifices in the 16th century in Europe. The top symbolized Satanism because the fallen angel mythology was taken seriously. The crimes were against God and all the victims' bodies had the symbols which meant "Like Easter". What ever a man was up to on Easter's Eve. And on the following day, Cody and Maggie bumped into Jenna and her new husband Eric Stark (Rufus Sewell), a master of evil who kidnapped Cody.

After the incident, Cheri called and said she knew where Cody was. Cheri also told Maggie that Eric believed in the Devil and he was the one who always killing the kids on the 16th of December who were 6 years of age. He would put them through a test and if they failed, he would kill them. And Eric had been looking for Cody all along and he wanted to change her. Just to make her look like him! So he could use her power. And if Eric couldn't turn Cody into what he wanted her to be, he would kill her because she lead people to God! And on the same night, FREAKS came after Cheri! And when Maggie tried to call the cops, she was given an injection and she felt weary . And as the gang beat Cheri up in the train station, evil creatures were seen flying about. And when Maggie touched Cheri, CHERI"S HEAD FELL OFF!!! On the following day, Maggie found out where Eric stayed. Freaky to see demons flying around his lair. The nastiest killer that Eric had was named Stuart (Eugene Lipinski). And pretty creepy to Eric's odd looking eye. And also when Eric strangely removed bullets from Maggie's gun when she tried to shoot him. And she was knocked out by Stuart! And when she woke up, she was swerving past every car on Brooklyn Bridge and she crashed on the edge. And she was thankfully rescued when the car was going off the edge of the bridge.

And that night, Eric tempted a hobo (Dwaine McLean) with gas and matches through a Satanic practice. It was stopped when Cody said to the hobo that the Loed had not forgotten him and when the hobo opened his hand, a rosary was in it. And when Cody left, ERIC DROPPED A LIGHTER AND THE HOBO WENT ON FIRE! And then, Eric fooled Cody by becoming a Satanist if she did not believe in God, she must jump.

And soon, Travis uncovered Eric's tracks. And when Maggie and Cody were escaping from Eric's helper Dahyna (Dimitra Arliss). And once they got in, DAYHNA APPEARED AND WHEN SHE SMACKED THE WINDOW, SHE TURNED INTO A HIDEOUS DEMON! When Cody and Maggie went 30 miles South of Albany, they crashed and when Maggie told Codie to get out and run, Cody was caught by a limo and she was taken to an Old Estate, North of Albany. And back at Eric's house, under some kind of vision; The Forensic Detectives discovered Satanic symbols in pinkish-purple liquid. And at the Old Estate, Eric told Cody to join "them" if she wanted to live and her mother said, she should. And then, she made all the plates on the dinner table spin.

And when Maggie and Travis came over , Maggie saw Cody running away with a Voodoo group coming after her. And suddenly, one of them attacked Travis!Maggie followed Cody to a demonic church with demonic creatures flying around it. Abd when Maggie approached Cody, she hissed at her and the Voodoo group took Maggie into the Satanic church. And when everyone was inside, rats appeared and they flooded onto a thrown which everyone was facing and the Devil appeared and then evaporated.

Back at the church, Sister Joseph (Helen Stenborg) prayed at the convent. Cody was sitting on a table with Stuart holding a knife to her throat. And then, gas bombs broke in and Maggie stabbed Eric. And when Maggie tried to rescue Cody, she was shot by Eric and Cody healed her and angels appeared. And cops broke in, Travis shot Eric and he died, Stuart was shot and the angels disappeared. Maggie rescued Jenna , the church burnt down and everyone got out.

In the end, Jenna was in ReHab and she told Maggie to adopt Cody. And suddenly, one of the evil helpers appeared, whipped out a knife while they were looking at the church, Cody then turned around, stared at him, the evil helper stopped and he ran away! WOW!!!

"Find the well! It's the passage to hell!"
30 December 2005
In the beginning of the film, there was an excellent full shot of the house standing through the evening and coming into the morning.I just LOVED that Sephia vision of the house! Those third-story windows looked like EYES! Spooky. And at 3:15 a.m. on the 13th of November 1974 , the De Feos were shot by their 23 year old son, Ronnie De Feo Jr.

One year later, a family called the Lutz were shown around the house and they decided to buy it. Kathy Lutz (Margot Kidder) was married for the second time. And the the house was a full house and they bought for $8000.

One month later, the Lutz settled into their dream home. And when a priest named Father Delaney (Rod Steiger)came to bless the house. He went upstairs into the room on the right. Suddenly, flies started to buzz around the window and the door slammed. And when Delaney began to bless the room, he felt noxious and flies buzzed everywhere and they covered him. And then, the door opened and he heard someone say: "GET OUT!" And he did, he went outside and he vomited! That night, when Father Delaney called the Lutz residence, the phone broke up and Delaney mysteriously got burnt.

4th day, Thusday. Mrs. Lutz could sense something was around, but she couldn't see it. And when Amy appeared, she said she had a friend named Jody. And when Aunt Helena (Irene Dailey) came over, Mr.Lutz and the kids were wondering why all the toilets had a smelly substance which poured out when flushed! Back down stairs, Helena walked under the chandeliers and they tinkled, she then shot out of the house, drove off, stopped the car and she vomited.

6th day, Saturday. Father Bolan (Don Stroud) and Delaney were driving and the steering wheel locked, the bonnet flew open and then they crashed! This happened due to a fly which came from the house was in the car. And when the Lutz family when to Jimmy's (Marc Vahanian) wedding, Amy was left at home with her babysitter, Jackie (Amy Wright). And when Amy went into Amy's closet to get her pajamas. The rocking chair began to rock and then, Jackie was locked in the closet by the invisible Jody.

At the wedding, Mr.Lutz fell ill and he and the family decided to split. And when they returned home, Mr.Lutz heard Jackie screaming in the closet and when he let her out, she looked awful! You have to see it! Jackie said that she was locked in, but there was no lock! And Amy said that Jody wouldn't let her let Jackie out.

8th day, Monday. Delaney told the Head Priest about Ronald DE Feo and how he killed his family due to hearing voices in the house. Delaney also heard the voices. 11th day, Thursday. Carolyn (Helen Shaver). And when Carolyn saw the house, she thought it was creepy. And it was psycho seeing Gregory's (K.C Martel) hand being slammed down by a window. And soon, Mr.Lutz began to change! And when George woke up at 3:15 a.m. , he went into the sowing room and he saw flies buzzing around the open window. And when he tried to close it, the basement door began to move and when George was able to close the window, the front door broke open! And when Kathy and George went downstairs and saw the door, George went back upstairs into the sowing room, the flies were gone. And George found his dog Harry scratching the basement wall and he wouldn't leave it alone.

12th day, Friday. And then she said that Jody wanted them to live there forever so she and Jody can play together. And in the evening, Kathy was listening to Amy singing a son. And when Kathy came in, Amy said that Kathy scared Jody and she went out the window. And when Kathy went to the window, she heard a grunt and a pair of pigs eyes! And not so soon, George felt the wall in the basement, there was something there. He found the passage to hell. And when Harry was alone in the basement, he went up the stairs and growled. And when Kathy and George went into the sowing room, they found the cross upside down! And they went room from room, blessing the house. And when they entered the sowing room again, the cross dropped by a force and when Kathy touched the cross, it was cold! 17th day, Wednesday. As Bolan and Delaney prayed in the church, the angel's face from the ceiling began to crumple each time when Delany said: "Give them health of mind and body that they may do your will with perfect love!" And then, Delaney went blind and the angel was as good as new.And on the 18th night, Thursday. George heard drumbeats coming from the lounge and when he entered the lounge. The noise stopped. 19th day, Friday. Kathy discovered bloody teeth marks on George's foot.

And on the final night, Kathy came home and she looked for George and the kids. And when George came out of the boathouse with an Axe, he saw Jody at Amy's window! And when George looked for Amy, the walls began to bleed.Amy was hiding with Gregory and her other brother Matthew (Meeno Peluce) in the attic. And suddenly, the basement floor blew up and a lightning bolt hit one of the attic's window's. The house began to rumble and when George went to go get Harry, he wen down the stairs of the basement , they broke and he fell into a huge pool of blood. And Harry helped George out of the muck and George broke through the window with a chair and he took Harry with him. And the family took off abandoning their house and their belongings.

" It didn't die! You took it! You're Lying!" -x 3
29 December 2005
When Mr. and Mrs. Woodhouse (Mia Farrow and John Cassavetes)bought an apartment, they were warned about the weird doings that went on in the apartment. As soon as they spruced the place up, a friend that they just made who was Teery Gionoffrio (Victoria Vetri) was found dead outside the block of flats (appartments).

Not so soon, Rosemary planned on becoming pregnant and she soon received a "Tanis Root" , which was a necklace that bought good luck. And when she discovered it was Terry's necklace, she put it away. Suddenly, when morning came, a person the couple knew named Donald Baumgart (Tony Curtis) went blind. And followed by Rosemary having a dream about a black magic ritual that was performed on her: she saw witches, she was naked, she was hearing witch craft music, she was bitten by a mouse and she saw DEMONIC EYES! And after that, Rosemary was pregnant.

When Rosemary threw a huge party for her pregnancy, the pains she had since November 1965 wouldn't go away! It was currently 1966. And when she had organized the baby goods, she received a call that said , Donald had died! And she later found out that people who lived next door found baby's flesh and blood were best for any Black Magic ritual. Rosemary didn't want these people coming near her apartment.

Soon, Rosemary threw her Tanis Root necklace down the drain and she went to go see a doctor in connection with having a baby that day. And after the surgery, she was told that the baby didn't make it and she dismissed it. She knew the baby was alive, but where was it? And that evening, she heard a baby crying from next door and when she went to go see it. Everyone she knew was there. And when she looked into it's crib, she discovered it was a little devil named Adrian. and she was told that Satin was it's father, not Guy! And Satin chose her to be Adrian's mother and everyone yelled: "God's dead! Satin lives! And that baby sure was UGLY! And you could see the cross was upside down as it dangled above Adrian's crib. GOD SPARE ME!! THIS WAS ONE MESSED UP HORROR FILM !

Secret Window (2004)

"Secret Window, Secret Garden".
28 December 2005
Once again, Johnny Depp took the lead as main actor. The story was about a divorced man who was a writer and he lived close to the river. His name was Mort Rainey. And six months later, he stole a story from John Shooter (John Torturro) called "Sowing Season" when his house keeper Mrs.Garvey (Joan Heney) followed by a story called "The Secret Window". Rainey took the two stories and he mixed them into one.

Oh! There was such a chilling moment when Rainey dreamed that he fell off a cliff. It was a LONG way down! And there was a horrific scene when Rainey found his dog Chico dead because Shooter murdered it with a screw driver. Shooter did that because, he wanted his story back.

Soon, Rainey started to hallucinate. For example, Rainey thought he saw Shooter in his house when it was just a mouse. And then, he started to look like a nut case. He used to open his mouth and tense his jaw. And when morning came, he found a hat outside his door. And he also found Tom Greenleaf (John Dun-Hill) dead in a four-wheel drive followed by a cop lying dead in the back seat. To cover up the incident, Rainey cast the bodies over a cliff into an inviting lake.

Later, Rainey was looking very pale and he suddenly realized that he was doing all the murders. Suddenly, he heard a voice. It was himself and he did not leave him alone! There was another freaky scene in that moment. When Rainey threw an ashtray at the wall, it caused a crack and it grew up the wall causing the house to split open! And he could see the back of himself in the mirror. WOW! Imagination is your creation! When Amy Rainey (Maria Bello) arrived at Rainey's residence, she found pages scattered everywhere outside the house and the inside had been trashed. And "Shooter" were written everywhere. AH! There was another chilling moment! When Amy tried to escape in her car, she accidentally left the hand brake on and Rainey broke into the car with a rock. He then dragged Amy out into the backyard and he killed her! And when Amy's husband arrived, Rainey knocked him out with a spade and Rainey stabbed him with it!! Rainey had become the character he CREATED!!!!!!!

And coming to the end,Rainey finally came up with an ending for his book. And when Rainey came into the town to shop; everyone was too afraid to speak to him! And when Sheriff Dave Newsome (Len Cariou) went to visit Rainey in connection with the bodies, but Rainey refused to tell him. But do you know WHAT?! Rainey buried the bodies in the back yard, he grew corn on them and he ate the corn! YUCK! No wonder it was also known as "Secret Window, Secret Garden"!

The Entity (1982)

"You see, I wasn't lying!"
8 December 2005
This was a film I caught sight of at a video store in the year 1999. That was when I was 12. Fortunately, I wasn't allowed to watch it due it's age restriction: 2-21. And in the following year, I got away with it, but I didn't really get it. And this when I watched it, I understood it due to it being a recorded event and a study on parapsychology.

It was the most extraordinary case in the history of Parapsychology which took place in Los Angeles, California in October 1976. Late one evening, a woman named Carla Moran (Barbara Hershey) just returned home from work and she was brushing her hair. And then, she got hit, pushed onto her bed and she got raped by a paranormal force. And then, it vanished when Carla's son, Billy (David Labiosa) and her two daughters Kim (Melanie Gaffin) and Julie (Natasha Ryan) entered the room . Carla told Billy to check the house, but there was nobody suspicious around.

And when Carla was reading in bed. Her bedside table shook a few times! She then felt cold as she breathed out water vapor. And the room began to shake! Things began to fall down and break! And Carla took off in her car with her kids. Carla and her kids slept over with some friends Cindy Nash (Margeret Blye) and George Nash (Michael Alldredge). And on the following day, Carla didn't want to tell Cindy what happened until Cindy persuaded. And then, Carla told Cindy her story.

Afterwards, the family returned home from a day at the beach. Carla checked out her home. And suddenly, Cindy came to sleep over . Then, late at night; Carla's dressing table lamp began to glow brightly as the wind outside howled and then, it faded away.

Next morning, when Carla was on her way to work. The car accelerated by itself and it drove through the traffic with Carla trying to make her car stop. And when she crashed, it stopped. After that, Carla went to see Dr.Phil Sneiderman (Ron Silver) and Carla told him about her worries.

It was the evening, and Carla was relaxing in the bath. Suddenly, she heard the bathroom door close and it locked by itself. And then, she was pushed against a mirror and then into her shower curtain. She got raped again and she fell and she passed out on the floor. And the next day, Carla showed the bruises she had to Sneiderman. And when Sneiderman dropped Carla back at her house, she told him that there was something in her house. And while the family was having desert, Carla was pushed onto her sofa and she was being suffocated in front of her kids!!!! And when Billy tried to help her, visible little lightning bolts went into him, he broke his wrist and he fell onto the living room's floor.

At 3:20 a.m. , Carla slept with her robe open and the entity began to feel her breasts as she groaned. And when she woke up, she shattered every mirror in her bedroom! And at Cindy's place, when Carla was left there all by herself. The glass-windowed doors shattered as they flew open and this was what happened to the windows too. The lights sparked and the place was trashed from top to bottom! And this was the time that Cindy believed Carla that the entity was real whereas George thought Carla tore the place apart.

Later, Carla invited these two guys to her house from a book store who were interested in finding entities. Carla showed them where everything happened and the place began to shake and it stank! In the evening in Carla's bedroom, blue sparks went everywhere. The guys took shots of them. And the next day, most of Carla's belongings were removed from her home and her kids went to go stay with one of Carla's friends. And that night, Carla was in her room with the psychiatrists from the university waiting for entity to show itself. And then, green sparks went everywhere and the old woman asked the entity to show itself and it appeared as bright glowing green dust for a moment and it vanished.

And later that evening, when Carla's boyfriend Jerry Anderson (Alex Rocco) come out from the bathroom and he saw Carla being attacked by the entity and he was pushed away. Jerry then grabbed a chair and he hit the entity with it and then Billy came in and attacked Jerry.

On the following day, she was moved into a setup of her home with cameras and a protected area. The house had no ceilings but tanks of liquid Helium. The Psychiatrists wanted to isolate and immobilize the entity. And later in the evening, a wind strangely occurred. The entity had arrived. The alarm went off and liquid Helium was being sprayed everywhere. And when Carla moved into the protected area, the liquid Helium caused the glass to crack and shatter. The tubes of liquid Helium blew up when Carla told the entity that it could not have her. And finally, the entity was captured in a giant iceberg. It suddenly began to fall apart and then it blew to smithereens. The entity escaped!

Coming to the end of the film, Carla visited her previous house. It was vacant. Ans as she wondered the house, the front door closed and Carla heard: "Welcome home, Carla!" Carla slowly approached the door and when she opened it, she was her family outside. And she and her kids got into her car and they drove off.

The real Carla Moran is still living today in Texas with her children. And what freaks me out is, the attacks through decreased in both frequency and intensity continue.

And when they went to Fianacial ETS, the plan fell into place. Francesca walked past a guard and pretended to put boxes away, Kyle signed in at the front desk accompanied with his friend Matty Matthews (Bryan Greenberg) whereas Roy, Anna and Desmond waited in the woods. And soon, Kyle, Francesca and Matty went to go get the answers for the ETS examination.

A Fun film to watch!

Species (1995)

Sexy Almost Evil.
3 December 2005
I remembered when this movie was first advertised in South Africa in 1995 when I was 8 years old. And the advertisements made me so scared that I thought if I went to the toilet, a tentacle would grab me and pull me down! Anyways, this was a Sci-Fi story about a half alien, half girl who was 12 years of age named 72100 or Sil (Michelle Williams). She was created in a lab in Utah, USA and she only grew up within a month. And soon, her creator Xavier Fitch (Ben Kingsley) decided to gas her. Suddenly, she broke out of her glass container while she was being gassed and she ran. Phew! That girl was super strong and fit! Sil has these continuous dreams about being run over by some monster train and mating. And then, she would wake up and she was in trouble. For example, when she woke up after dreaming about being attacked by the monster train and some train hobo. She saw the train hobo (Scott McKenna) who was going to rape her. And she grabbed him by the neck, threw him across the room, he landed upside down and his neck snapped.

When she got off the train the next day, she slipped onto another one and when she got on. She broke open a cupboard which had money in it and she took it and some food from the kitchen. You should've seen how she ate a banana. She first bites off the skin and then she ate the fruit which was inside.

And on that night, Sil ate so much she spun into a cocoon. And soon, when the Female Conductor (Esther Scott) came to check on Sil. The Female Conductor went into the bathroom and saw a giant, pumping cocoon. And she was attack and Sil came out of the cocoon. She was fully grown. She was about 23 years of age.

Not so soon, Fitch organizes a group in order to catch Sil. The group members were: Dr. Stephen Arden (Alfred Molina), Preston Lennox (Michael Madsen), Dan Smithson (Forest Whitaker) and Dr.Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger). And at the same time, Sil was getting off the train in Los Angeles, California. She was very beautiful. And she also took off the Female Conductor's credit card in order to survive.

At a night club, Sil sure did get destructive due to seeing a man's wife with the man she loved and she killed the woman off when she went to the toilet. She later bumped into another guy at the nightclub called Robby (Anthony Guidera). She then went off with Robby to his house. And when she kissed him, her tongue shot out of his head! And she drove off in Robby's car while the gang were still checking out the place and the cops too. It seems Sil was keen on mating.

After an accident, Sil went home with the guy who took her to the hospital named John Carey (Whip Hubley). And that evening, Sil drowned John in the jacuzzi when she sensed the people who were looking for her were at the front door.. And soon, the gang and the cops discovered the body.

After the incident, Sil shot into a woman's car (Marliese Schneider) and she said she needed her help. At the woman's house, Sil tied up the woman to her bed. Sil then cut her thumb off and it grew back. The woman was so freaked out! Later, Sil set up a trap with tubs of petrol which led down the hill and with a power plant which was at the bottom of a hill. That evening, Sil got outside the nightclub, the cops and the gang followed her into the hills followed by the helicopters. Sil drove down the hill, she shot out of the car and she left the woman who she captured in the car. The woman died in a collision went the car hit the power plant. It was quite a sight to see with all those tubs of petrol exploding trying to destroy those helicopters! And from here, the gang, Fitch and the cops thought Sil was dead. Well, she wasn't.

Soon, Sil reappeared with dyed hair. And she surprises Stephen when he entered his room. She then slept with him. While Dan was sleeping, he woke up and sensed that Sil was still alive. And then, Stephen was killed by Sil (Frank Welker). And the gang woke up and when they went into Stephen's room, they found him dead! And Sil headed for the sewer. WOW! She sure was fast moving! And she killed Fitch in a almost a split second! Sil hid away and she gave birth to her baby (Kurtis Burow). It was very interesting way of giving birth. The baby came out of Sil's stomach and she was still alive! And when Dan saw Sil's baby. It was a boy! But it was ONE NASTY BABY!!!! It shot out it's tongue and it ate a rat! And THEN!!!! It grew into a huge monster! And Dan killed it with a blow torch. And Preston threw Sil into a fire of flames and then he blew her head off! And to end the review, there was one COOL scene when a rat ate a tentacle of Sil's and then, its tongue shot out and it ate a rat which scoured around close by. HECTIC! This was a very well produced movie for a 90s film. And you should check out the effects on DVD!!! They are amazing!!

" You will never meet someone like me again".
1 December 2005
Last year, I heard we had a South African actress who won an Oscar for doing a good job staring as Aileen Wuornos. And she deserved the Oscar! Here's my review...

A film, which was based on a true story which happened in the early 1990s. A tramp , named Alieen Wuornos (Charlize Theron) was out looking for a guy and later bumps into a girl named Selby Wall (Christina Ricci) at a night club. When Aileen met Selby, she was so uptight about Selby buying her a beer and then touching her. And soon, Aileen had no problem with it and she stayed with Selby for the night.

Now, Selby was a girl who was sent to go live with her aunt to cure her homosexuality when she tried to kiss a girl in church whereas Aileen was a prostitute. On the following day, Aileen and Selby hit the skating floor and they fell in love without her Aunt's son Trevor (Chad Vaccarino), wasn't looking. Aileen decided to fall in love with Selby because, she was the only person who cared about her.And later, tucked away in the woods. Aileen and this low life taxi driver got drunk. And at that very moment, the taxi driver attacked Aileen due to her not wanting to make love to him. Aileen was knocked out, she then woke up and she discovered her hands were tied up. And when the taxi driver tried to attack Aileen, she broke loose, she the guy and she beat ed him to death! SHE WENT CRAZY!!!!! Then she put on his clothes and she took off with his car.

Aileen had to be herself in order to support her's and Selby's relationship. They move in together into a motel. And later, Aileen dumped the taxi driver's body in his car in the middle of nowhere. OH! There was such a funny part when Aileen when to go and apply for a job in order to be a secretary, she got so angry when she didn't get the job. And she swore at everyone! I soon realized that Selby sounded just like my friend Tammy Philpott. That girl, will one day also become as famous as Charlize Theron! Anyways, in another quiet place somewhere, some guy payed Aileen to give him pleasure. She then shot him and she took off with his car. Selby was soon going to discover that Aileen isn't borrowing these cars, she was STEALING them!

HA! NO ONE messes with Aileen and Selby!- They were told by a manger of a restaurant (Glenn.R. Wilder) and they rebelled and Aileen knocked the manager down followed by a table. And later that night, Aileen killed another man! And soon she killed another man when she said she didn't need a lift because she was going to take his car. And then, Aileen returned home and told Selby to get packed. Aileen lied again about what she did. Uh-oh!

The cops began to track Aileen and Selby down from all the places they passed and all the people they bumped into. And soon, Aileen sent Selby home by bus in order to protect her. Once again, Aileen was on the street. That evening, Aileen walked into a bar and she said she needed to use the telephone. She was taken outside and she got arrested. And she quickly began to change.WOW!!!

The next day, Aileen and Selby saw each other again in court. And that was the last time they saw each other. It bought tears to my eyes. As we know, Aileen was executed on the 9th of October, 2002 after 12 years on Florida's Death Row.

This film was VERY touching!

Christine (1983)

It's a possessed ZZ Tops!
30 November 2005
It all started in Detroit in 1957. The car's bonnet mysteriously slammed on a worker's hand while he was checking the engine. And at 5 o' clock that afternoon, one of the worker's died in the car while listening to music.

Later, two boys named Dennis Guilder (John Stockwell) and Arnie Cunningham (Keith Gordon) who were both victims of verbal and physical bullying caught sight of an old red ZZ Tops and Arnie was the one to check it out. Arnie sure did fall in love with it. When they to it's owner named George LeBay (Roberts Blossom), he told them that the car's name was Christine. Le Bay told Arnie about it's bad history when his brother's daughter was chocked to death in the car5. But anyways, Arnie bought the car $250.

When Arnie came home with the car, his parents Regina and Michael (Christine Belford and Robert Darnell) disagreed with Arnie keeping the car due to hearing about the previous owner who died in the car from carbon monoxide. But Arnie insisted on keeping the car. And on the 9th of October 1979, Arnie fixed his car with junk at and from Darnelle's Auto Wrecking. There was a similar attachment with LeBay's brother and Christine as there was with Arnie and Christine. And you should've seen how the car looked when it was complete. BEAUTIFUL! That night, Dennis went to go check out the car, and when he tried to open it, the radio went off, Dennis ran away and then, the radio stopped playing. Now, this was the time when we knew the car had a life of it's own! On the following day, when Arnie rocked up at a football match. Christine made Dennis injure himself. And on the 5th of November, Dennis was in hospital.

That evening, Arnie's girlfriend Leigh Cabot (Alexandra Paul) told Arnie that she hated the car. And when Arnie went out of the car, Leigh began to choke in the car while the radio played and everywhere in the car shone a bright white light. And when Arnie left his car inside Darnelle's Auto Wrecking, his bully Buddy Repperton (William Ostrander) and his gang sneaked in and vandalized his car.

The next day, Arnie was shocked to see what happened to his car. And that evening, Christine pulled herself back together. And Christine went after one of Buddy's mates who was involved with vandalizing her. He was Moochie Welch (Malcolm Danare). WOO! Moochie sure was spooked out! Christine chased Moochie into a junk yard and she mashed him into a dead end.

On the 3rd of November, 1979. There were many complaints about Christine. And one evening, Christine followed Buddy about as he drove to a petrol station, she wrecked his car, and she caused a petrol explosion. She then chased him down the as she burnt with her headlights shining brightly. And, she ran him over and he burnt up. THAT'S RIGHT!! BURN IN HELL, FOOL!!!! When Christine came in, a guy who worked at the junkyard named Don Vandenberg (Stuart Charno) checked Christine out. Don foolishly got into the car, the door closed and it locked, the radio again turned on and the driver's seat which he was sitting on CRUSHED him! And the next morning, Christine was as good as new. WOW!!! Later on in the following evening, Dennis noticed that the car had done something to Arnie. He also saw that the car could steer by itself when Arnie let go of the steering wheel. Later, Dennis and Leigh set a trap for Christine at Darnelle's. He was going to crush her with a bulldozer. And SUDDENLY! Christine shot out from under from under a pile of garbage with her headlights shining their brightest! When Christine went for Leigh, she missed and began to ram the place down! And... SURPRIZE! Arnie was inside Christine. Christine again tried to run over Leigh, she crashed into a little joint of the place and Arnie died due to glass that got stuck inside his body. And finally, Dennis crushed Christine to kingdom come. And the next day, (Wow! I have said this phrase SO many times.) Christine had been compacted. And uh-oh! A song was heard playing from one of the builder's radio's. And, Christine began to form herself again.

Christine had to have been one of the most interesting Stephen King films that I have ever seen due to having a possessed car, it effects the owner and those who are around him or her.And everyone knowing what sex the car is. That amused me when LeBay said that Christine smelt like pussy! And having a radio for a car's heart. This film was stunning, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!

"Lover"
29 November 2005
This was a story about a rebellious teenager named Jennifer Wilson (Leelee Sobieski)who lived with a so 70s family. This was also a movie based on what kids, as teenagers experience through their life. For example, being rejected: Everyone fell asleep in class as Jennifer said her speech. Some kids like being the opposite: Jennifer hated smiling and she hated seeing her parents. And some kids believe that they are gay: at the age of 14, Jennifer thought she was lesbian. Being different: Jennifer loved things that were dark and warm and she wore boxers instead of g-strings. Rebelling against your religion: Jennifer believed in hell and she wanted to go there. And of course, LOVE! She had a crush on a 49 year old man named Randall Harris (Albert Brooks)who was the head of the store called "Rutherfields". Jennifer was looking for a job there. And then, Randall didn't allow her work there because, she was a goth! And , Jennifer called Randy a beer belly! HA!HA!HA!HA! Soon, Jennifer finally got a job at Rutherfields and she began to work at the back and give all the clothes colour codes and she had to arrange them all in order. And that "Shaking that ass" song suited each moment and then, you hear "Okay, don't touch me". And also when Randall said that he had a blue foot as he walked about as he got ready for a run. And not so soon, Jennifer went outside to look for Randy because, he hadn't come back. Jennifer found him lying in the road.

At the hospital, a doctor named Mr.Smithman, I think (Kevin Cooney) said that Randall was dying. Jennifer was so distraught that she ran to the cemetery and rolled about on someone's grave. Ooh. It was so tragic. And like what Jennifer said: When someone's dying, you feel you don't have a life anymore". It's true because, you get so close to that person you love and when that person hasn't got long to live. Your love that you put into that person has been taken away from you.

Jennifer later on went to New Mexico to find Sarah Harris, Randall's ex-wife. But fortunately, she had passed away six months earlier, according to her son Randy Harris Jr (Desmond Harrington. Jennifer told Randy that his father was still alive. Randy was busy packing up the house that he was living in. Ans sadly, Randy didn't want to see his father because, Randall was dying and Randy's mother JUST died. He had enough seeing his close family members die.

The last time Jennifer saw Randall was at a dinner party. And soon, he died. Shame. And Randall left Jennifer with his son. Jennifer had also grown out of her teenage stage and she was ready to move on.

A Teenage drama.

A fascinating story about an English couple called Joe Parker, who was a doctor. And Nina Harker, who was a teacher (Alex Jennings and Lia Williams). They adopted a child from Rumania due to his grandmother dying. The child's name was Valentine.

I could feel all the spooky moments in this film, especially with the music! Rumania is filled with mystery and wonder. Not so soon, someone else was taking Valentine home. It was an American family. Joe begged them to allow them to take Valentine home. And soon, the American family ended up dead and they went home in coffins. OOH! Those bodies looked cold and DEAD! That flash back of the incident was very haunting.

Later on, a guy named Stephen Irving (Steven Mackintosh) thought Joe was a vampire. Weird! Just because the child came from Rumania. And suddenly, a man named Mr.Ranfield fell victim to the plague of Valentine somehow. And Stephen kidnapped Valentine from one of his friend's houses. And Joe discovered Valentine in Stephen's boot. And then, Stephen admit that he killed the Amderican family because, they didn't take the "disease" that Valentine had seriously. "Let's get ROCKIN' ! "
12 November 2005
A musical comedy about a rocker named Dewey Finn (Jack Black) who lived with his close friend Ned Schneebly (Mike White) and later on, he was kicked out of his rock group.

A few minutes later, a call came through in connection with Ned being a sub-teacher at the one of the best elementary schools in the States. So Dewey decided be pretend he was Ned. And when it came to teaching, the only ate and sent the kids to recess. TERRIBLE! For example, he had to ask one of the kids for a snack and he thought merits and demerits were pathetic! On the following day, he watched his class as they attended a music lesson. He was impressed with what they could do! As his eye brows went with the flow of the music. This was a time when he wanted to form a new rock band.

When the kids got back to class, Dewey taught a boy named Zack Mooneyham (Joey Gaydos Jr) how to play the guitar the ROCKIN' way. Then, he thought Lawrence (Robert Tsai)how to play the key board, Katie (Rebecca Brown) how to play a bass guitar. And Freddy Jones (Kevin Alexander Clark) how to play the drums. And from here, Dewey started to give the class confidence. E.g.- Saying that they are all special. Dewey told the kids why he was doing this, because, he wanted to create a "rock project".And all the kids agreed on it.

There were some SUCH funny moments. For example, Dewey calling the girls "Groupees" and on the following day, Summer Hathaway (Miranda Cosgrove) was most disgusted when her mother told her what the word groupies meant. It meant: "Sluts who sleep with the band!" Oops.

It was amazing to see how these kids worked on the project! Dewey taught them how Rockers behaved. It was anger- "Shutup, Schneebly!" Followed with the kids being taught: the history of rock, the theory of rock and practical rock.

Another funny scene when the Head Mistress, Rosalie Mullins (Joan Cusack) walked past a boy named Franky (Angelo Massagli). Frankly said: "Hey, Miss. Mullins. You're the man!" And Rosalie said: "Thank you, Frankie".

Not so soon, two girls came up the the perfect name to call their band: "The School Of Rock". Those kids sure are CREATIVE! And Dewey decided the kids should wear their uniforms for the concert. At the parent evening, Dewey came out of the closet and told Rosalie that he was not at teacher, Rosalie didn't believe him. And suddenly, there were lots of complaints which came from the parents due to their kids being obsessed with music. And at that very moment, Ned's girlfriend Patty Di Marco (Sarah Silverman)arrived at the scene with Ned and the cops. Then Dewey told the parents that he wasn't a teacher and he also told the kids that there was NO project. Dewey only wanted to earn money for his rock show. MAN! Those adults were FURIOUS! The next morning, the kids decided to go visit Dewey because, they liked him so much for who he was and they also wanted to win the band contest. Dewey was amazed by the kids punk-rock style e.g.- the body language and the spoken language. Later, the parents heard that their kids went missing and soon discovered them at "The Battle Of The Bands" THE KIDS PERFORMED THEIR HEARTS OUT!!! THEY ALSO IMPRESSED THE AUDIENCE WITH THEIR STUNNING MOTTO IN THE BACKGROUND!!!!!!!!!!! It was an Awesome coat of arms and their song they performed was very catchy too!!! He sure did create some rockin' kids! And the principal was impressed by their performance. And, they also won!!! At the end, Dewey opened up : "The School Of Rock After School Program". Impressive! And Ned looked after the kids who were battling to get their notes right. And remember what Dewey said: "Remember, those who want to create a band. Don't let the man get you down!" Believe in it, I recommend this quote and film to the young rockers and those who want to start up a music band of their own. Cheers.

" He's a highly imaginative character".
11 November 2005
I first heard of this movie when I was 3. And then, I heard of many times and I wanted to know what it was about. It was a terribly sad movie which could bring tears to anyone's eyes.

Kim (Winona Ryder), Edward's (Johnny Depp) girlfriend told the story to her grandchild as a bed time story saying Edward was left incomplete when his beloved creator (Vincent Price)died from old age. Edward was left all alone in the mansion on the hill above the neighborhood.

Soon, a lipstick seller named Peg (Dianne Wiest) approached the mansion to see if she could sell any lipsticks. That mansion looked like the house from the film "Taled Of The Crypt". When she entered, she saw the front yards bushes were shaped like animals.BEAUTIFUL! And the mansion was very well maintained.

Inside the house, Peg wondered about and when she entered the attic, she discovered timid Edward. She was shocked to see that he had scissors for hands. And then, she decided to take him home with her to her so 50s suburban home. E.g.- All the husbands all left for work in the mornings at the same time and houses looked identical.

Edward was amazed to see what went on in the world which lived below him e.g- the people, the houses, mirrors and especially, Peg's daughter Kim. There was such a funny scene when Edward went into Kim's room and he accidentally popped the water bed. And when he was trying out his new clothes. He SURE did struggle to put on his clothes.

Suddenly, all the people of the neighborhood were interested to know who Joyce brought home. There was such a radical scene when Peg's son, Kevin (Robert Oliveri) took Edward to school with him for show and tell and when Kevin gave Edward a piece of paper, as quick as a flash; a long row of little boys and girls were made. AMAZING! Edward soon learned from Joyce's husband, Bill (Alan Arkin). He created a T-Rex out of a bush followed by the shape of Peg's family. And from here, Edward had flash backs when he was still living with inventor/creator. There was such an amazing scene with the machines working. They looked like people working together.

One day, all the people of the neighborhood came over to Peg's social at her house and Everyone was SO delighted to meet Edward. THEY LOVED HIM! E.g.- All the women wanted Edward to try their foods. And there were also some sad moments when Edward was battling to use scissor hands. For example, hard for him to use his cutlery at the dinner table, picking up glasses of lemonade, etc.

Edward was so delighted to meet Kim for real and he fainted. It was SO funny! And also when Joyce (Kathy Baker) asked Edward if he would like a glass of lemonade. Edward soon started to do the suburb proud. He also did fur cuts for dogs and he also became a hairdresser for women who wanted new hair styles. And all the women believed Edward did a good job on their hairs. And he also could unlock doors, e.g.- when Kim and her boyfriend Jim (Anthony Michael Hall) were locked outside the house, Edward came along, put one of his scissor fingers in the key hole and 'click'. The unlock was unlocked.

There was another funny scene: when Joyce tried to make love to Edward, the both fell off the chair they were both on with Edward's legs up in the air. And then, Edward quickly got up and took off. OOH! That woman's nails looked like Count Orlock's nails painted RED! And later on in the film, Jim locked Edward up in his safe in his home, the alarm went off, and the police rocked up. The police thought Edward committed a crime! When in fact Jim put Edward up to it! SAME ON YOU, JIM!!! And then, Kim told the brute to go!! You go, Kim!!! On Christmas eve, Edward did something interesting. he created a huge angel out of ice. WOW!!! With great detail of the angel's robe and wings!!!! There was another sad flash back: it was when the Inventor bought Edward a pair of plastic hands as a gift and when Edward reached out to hug his inventor, the Inventor died. Just like that! There was one huge moment of love turning into hate, it was when Jim tried to beat Edward up and Edward cut Jim across the arm. Edward certainly nailed the bastard there! And suddenly, the whole neighborhood heads toward the mansion on the hill. And then, in the mansion, in the attic, Jim struck back! But he lost again when Edward pushed him out the window. WAY TO GO, EDWARD!!!!!! And then, Kim went outside to the people of the suburb to say Edward was dead and she showed them all one of Edward's scissor hand's. Kim saved her lover's butt from those maniacs!

And coming to the end of the film, as Kim spoke when she told her grand daughter the story of Edward Scissor Hands. Back in the attic of the mansion; Edward was making ice sculptures. The never snowed on that so 50s town until Edward began to make ice sculptures.

Like what my old Drama teacher, Mrs. Roux would say:"What a stunning film!"

A Film Producer Produced And Stared In. Billy Bob Thornton.
9 November 2005
It was a story about a man named Claude Montgomery ( Billy Bob Thornton)whose job was to fill potholes and cut weeds. He lived in the country side with his wife Ruby (Laura Dern). Hmmm... the country is very relaxing.

Not so soon, they had to spend time with family due to Claude's father's younger brother Hazel Montgomery (Jim Varney) having charges pressed against him due to murder. It was funny when Claude was left in the middle of nowhere and he accidentally knocked some fat guy's car with a stone. The car stopped and the fat guy got out and they stared for a moment. And then, Claude made a run for it followed by the fat guy chasing after him panting. HA!HA!HA! Oh! I DO apologize to change the topic. This film had a song I could remember since I was 13 years old. I sang it when I was in primary school. It was "Ghost Riders". The first time I heard this song, I was so FREAKED out!!!

Back to the review, there was also some tragedy on the way back from the nightclub when Claude and his friend injured themselves badly. OOH! Ruby threw a huge fit. You should've seen. It was good drama. And once Claude recovered from his bad experience, he and Ruby got married and whereas Hazel, I think he got jailed.

This film overall, was about family issues that went on in families. For example: there was a huge drama with one of the family members, young couple's fighting, then getting married and living happily ever after.

A Good Amovie to watch.

Superstar (1999)

" You wanna be a star, be a SUPER STAR!"
30 October 2005
Warning: Spoilers
A funny story about a girl named Mary Katherine Gallagher (Molly Shannon) who was a religious girl who lived in Besamee Heights. Her parents died when she was young, her Granma Gallagher (Glynis Johns) who wanted Mary to become a Business Manager. But Mary didn't want to become that, she wanted to be a SUPER STAR!!!! Mary was also a girl who went to St. Monica's and she tried out every star making activity. It sure is HARD when you get going! Especially when you see competition. For example, the school's most beautiful girl named Evian Carrie Graham (Elaine Hendrix)upset Mary due to seeing her as competition in the bathroom and then, Mary SNAPPED the cow's bra. WAY TO GO, MARY! And Mary worked at a video store to know how super stars looked. There was such a funny scene when Mary came to confess in the church, she broke down the doors when acting out her monologue. Mary also knew a guy at school named Sky Corrigan (Will Ferrell), the best dancer in the school and she had a close friend named Helen Lewengrub (Emmy Laybourne) who was a good basket ball player. And a new boy named Eric Slater (Eric Williams) who was totally into her.

Soon, Mary heard about a contest about starring in a movie with Positive Moro Value as an extra. Mary could just imagine becoming famous. Another funny scene when a boy named Howard Feinstein (Jason Blicker) was rubbing two ruby grape fruits with his hands to attract Mary's attention, and Mary responded by picking up a banana and squeezing it to death! And Howard left her alone. HA! HA! HA! The next day, Mary approached Evian because, she wanted to enter the competition. And Evian bullied Mary in a verbal way by saying she could not enter the competition and saying her parents died because she was so ugly and then, Mary bullied Evian back by saying: " At least I wasn't named, after a bottle, of water". And then, Evian tried to attack Mary and Mary beated Evian up by punching her in her boobs, kicking her about and then she dragged her out by her hair screaming. And, Evian was suspended! HA! Serves that COW right! Not so soon, Sky broke up with Evian due to that incident with Mary. She screamed so loudly, that she broke the glass behind the basket ball net and she fainted. Well, she deserved her boyfriend to be taken away from her! And soon, Evian took out her frustrations out on Mary by dropping a tin of paint from the ceiling (Carrie style). This happened just after when that devil-praising Gothic girl Maria Ganitisis (Jennifer Irwin) performed a satanic, dramatic song. You should've seen it, IT WAS SO FUNNY!!!! Suddenly, when Mr. Slater took Mary to the public pool to wash up after that paint incident. Mary discovered Mr. Slater was that little boy who she saved from drowning due to his birth mark on his arm. And it was so lovely to see them have a romantic time in the pool. And when she got home, her gran told her that she won the contest, and she helped her out in order for her to reach for her dream. So, Mary invited all her friends around so they could rehearse. And it SO cool seeing the gran playing the drums!!!! Later, the big night came, and they performed their hearts out, I just loved those fantastic, ruby, glittering costumes and with Jesus (Will Ferrell) going: " O-OH! O-OH!" That was so awesome to see Jesus loving music and saying: "Get jiggy with it". And then, MARY WON!!! HA! Ha! Evian didn't know she was competing against a SUPER STAR!!!! It was so sad that Mary decided to let Sky go, but she fell in love with Slater. And to end the review with the last laugh seeing Mary kissing a tree in the school yard with a nun watching with great concern! HA!HA!HA! P.S- I am sure this movie has reflected on many people's lives when they wanted to become famous, especially on mine. But I know it will happen. Remember what Mary said: " And if you believe in yourself, those around you, what they say, won't hurt you. Believe in yourself.

Scooby-Doo (2002)
10/10
A very well created film.
22 October 2005
Warning: Spoilers
A very well made film based on the canine character "Scooby-Doo". The cartoon from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. But this version of Scooby-Doo has a more modern identity especially when it comes to the music. E.g- Rock and Hip-Hop, but the film succeeded very well. This also refers to the characters and the Scooby Doo himself. It sounds just like Scooby-Doo and same thing with the mannerisms e.g- always hungry and cowardly at heart, and he would do anything for Scooby snacks. And it was not disappointing like Garfield and The Cat In The Hat. It seems for those cartoon characters, the screenwriter did NOT pay close attention to the details.

The actors and actresses were very well chosen for this film and that mystery van, I was impressed with. It looks just like the one from the cartoon series. The creator of this film, James Gunn loved Scooby Doo since he was a child. He certainly paid close attention to the details of every character and set. Well Done, James!!! The film was about Shaggy (Matthew Williard) and Scooby ( Neil Fanning) going to "Spooky Island" and there at the airport, they bumped into Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr), Velma (Linda Cardellini)and Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar). The group split up due to a scrap they had at the last mystery search, and in the end they all reunite once more. And Shag fell in love with a girl on the plane named Mary Jane (Isla Fisher).

Anyways, when the group got to the island, it looked like " Voodoo Hawaii" to me with all those voodoo-like Tiki Gods and that bridge made of elephants tusks. The island was owned by Emile Mondaverious (Rowan Atkinson); and he told the gang that he believed someone was casting spells on the students due to their behavior. E.g- Acting in an aggressive manner. Now, this was what made this film better to the cartoon series, they were no longer fantasy disguised villains, there were monsters! Soon, the group met at the Spooky Castle on the top of the mountain, it used to be some spooky ride. There was another thing that I am sure of what all Scooby Doo lovers have seen in the cartoon series. Shag and Scoob always stick together when it comes to a mystery when the gang splits up.

Well, enough of that. Back to the amulet story, Velma was observing the hieroglyphics on the amulet which Daphne discovered at Spooky Castle when the giant amulet nearly swallowed her up. Velma opened it and found a knob. And when she turned it, it divided into many flat diamonds with rituals on them and she said: "Jinkies!" Now, that's like Velma! And when she loses her classes, we all know what she is going to say: "My glasses!!!" Now that's a lot like Velma!! There was cute scene with the gang driving off somewhere in the mystery van and Scrappy-Doo , who is Scooby's nephew (Scott Innes). He says: "Ta-da-da-da-da, Puppppy Powwer!!!" And he peed. HA!HA!HA! Cute. And it seems, Scrappy wasn't a puppy, he was a dog with a gland disorder, which probably made him small , I guess.

I dug that scene when Velma thought the monster she bumped into was a fantasy disguised villain, she tried to pull off it's mask and then, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!! MONSTERS DID EXIST!!! Hmm, those monsters were very well created with graphics and effects they had.

Soon, Shag and Scoob noticed something was up with Fred, Velma Daphne and Mary Jane when they breathed out green gas and so did the rest of the people on the island. They were all possessed! And not so soon, Shaggy discovered a pool underground which contained every person's soul who was on the island. And when he found his friends' souls, they returned to their bodies one by one. There was a lot of comedy when this happened. Fred's soul got into Daphne's body and Daphne's soul got into Fred's body. And then, Fred said: "Now, I can see myself naked in the mirror!" Later on in the film, Scoob noticed there was something wrong with Mondavarious, he wanted Scoob to become a sacrifice. And underground, where all this sacrifice stuff was about to begin, the gang made a plan when the "End of the World" party was being celebrated with dance-like ceremonial melody for Scooby to become the sacrifice. And suddenly, a giant disco skull shot out of nowhere and it shone so brightly that it destroyed the monsters in every person's body. And the time came when the gang wanted to know who " Mondavarious" was, he was a robot controlled by Scrappy from the inside. That's really neat, for a small guy! Suddenly, Scrappy absorbed all the energy from the amulet and he turned into " Scrappy Rex" ( voice by J.P Manoux), he grabbed Scooby and then, Scooby attacked Scrappy's nose hairs and Scrappy sneezed. HA!HA! Scrappy Rex turned back into Scrappy- Doo!!! And, the real Mondavarious was discovered trapped under an underground trapdoor. He looked like he had been trapped in the ground for years! And the island was saved as all the souls returned to their bodies , Scrappy was arrested and the island was safe once again.

A 50s classic.
17 October 2005
This was a film we were studying in English this year to do with film, film shots , what the music represents and angles. Film, it interests me so much. That is what I am going to get involved in once I have finished school.

It was about a man named Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant) who got kidnapped and was taken to a residence called "Townsend" to meet Mr. Lester Townsend (Philip Ober). And from there, the people who he met thought he was "George Caplin". A person who did not exist. Roger noticed some other strange things : being asked questions that he cannot answer and doors being locked from behind him. And worse, he was forced to gulp down a full glass of a " Burman".

Later on in the evening, Roger was put into a Mercedes-Benz when he was totally out of it, the car was started up for him and he was about to go over a cliff. Ooh! That point of view shot freaked me out while Roger looked down the cliff. Jeepers! I sure am afraid of heights! And then, he woke up, took hold of the steering wheel and he did his best to drive. I am too afraid to drive when I am drunk because, I know I will CRASH! IT'S BLOODY Frightening!!! There was a scene that amused me when Roger crashed into the back of a car and followed by a cop's car crashing into the back of the stolen car he was driving! Everywhere where Roger goes, no one believes him that he was about to be killed by a bunch of madmen; not even the police. They just think he was a drunkard misbehaving.

The next day, Roger went to Townsend's with the cops and his mother Clara Thornhill (Jessie Royce Landis) to prove what happened at Townsend's place. Fortunately, the evidence had vanished. And soon, at Roger's hotel room, he received a call from the man who tried to kill him on the previous evening and he saw him and his gang where ever he went. Spooky. And everywhere he went, he was known as George Caplin.

After the strange call, Roger approached the General Assembly Building (United Nations) where he met the real Lester Townsend and Townsend told Roger that his wife had been dead for years and the house had been closed up leaving the gardener and the housekeeper to look after it. Then, Roger showed a photograph to Townsend, he gasped and Roger's killer vanished when he was observing the situation from far away. And now, it had gotten WORSE! Roger had been accused of theft, murder and violence.

There was another scene that crept me out, that was when the people who tried to kill Roger were cleverly disguised as cops. And Roger was seen on front covers of newspapers everywhere due to all the trouble he accidentally caused . For example, when the ticket officer saw him asking for a ticket, he called security. Then Roger suddenly disappeared and sneaked into a train and bumped into a woman named Eve Kendall (Eva Marie Saint). She did not believe that Roger was a criminal and then she fell in love with him. How sweet.

Soon, Roger disguised himself as a cop and he got onto a bus and he was dropped off in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly, a plane appeared out of nowhere and it tried to attack him. THAT WAS NASTY! And all the cars on the road ignored the event and then; Roger dived into a corn patch and the plane came flying down pouring out pesticides. As quick as a flash, Roger made a run for it,he stopped in the middle of the road, stopped a truck, the people who were inside the truck got out and the plane crashed into the truck. It was quite an explosion! And while no one was looking , Roger took off in a truck and drove to go see Eve. Ans suddenly, Roger noticed everywhere that every article was talking about the plane crash incident. Gosh! When will it end? Roger soon bumped into Profeesor (Leo. G. Carroll) and he was going to find out that it was the Professor who stared this Caplin business. Anyways, Roger and Eve took off to a house that was close to Mt. Rushmore and there , they got caught by a servant with a gun and were forced to come inside and sit down. And outside the house, [ full shot], a gun shot was heard, Roger and Eve ran out , got into the car and drove off into the woods with a strange statue.

Now here, was a moment filled with action, suspense and full and medium shots as Eve and Roger climbed down Mt. Rushmore with the crooks after them. And from a high angle full shot, Roger attacked one of the crooks and they fell down Mt. Rushmore. WOW! And suddenly, Eve was attacked by another crook and Roger came to her rescue with all the crooks and cops watching. And to end this review, Roger and Eve took off on a train, kissed and made up.

North by Northwest was a movie filled with suspense, scares, the unexpected and hectic music which explains insanity. This was a very entertaining 50s action thriller classic. I would like to thank the English department of my school St. Peter's College for sharing this film and movie techniques with us, the Grade 11s (standard 9s). I am sure they all appreciated it. Well, I did the most and thank you so0 much for the introduction to the film industry.

Historical comedy
16 October 2005
A French film set in France in 1789 when the encyclopedia was banned. This was a historical comedy filled with sex, religion and frontal nudity! It was about a man named Denis Diderot (Vincent Perez) who was the creator of the encyclopedia. His wife, Madame Diderot (Francoise Lepine) and his daughter Angelique Diderot (Vahina Giocante). And Audrey Tautou starred as Julie d'Holbach.

This movie was filled with extremely funny moments, the funniest ones were; the "Pig Organ", they were pulled by their tails to create a melody. I was impressed with that. Next, was when Diderot got a boner when seeing Madame Therbouche (Fanny Ardant) while she was painting a portrait of him naked. " Growing start of steadfastness". A cute scene with Baronne d'Holbach (Josiane Balasko) walking her pet pig on a leash and it was dressed up. And lastly, an Adam and Eve scene with Mr Diderot chasing his wife around the garden naked with the Baroness and Le cardinal (Michel Sarrault), the very dramatic one watching. And then, the Cardinal sniffed table salts and the Baroness says:" I feel queasy! I need fresh air!" HA!HA!HA!

There was a terrible scene with the Baroness's pig cooked up as a lunch and she replaced her pig a canary. SHAME! There were also some LOVELY things to see in this film like, the Turkish baths and messages. Beautiful. And the party thrown for the Cardinal with dance music, fire works and wine. Quite something. And at the end, Diderot FELL IN LOVE WITH MADAME THERBOUCHE!!! Uh-oh!

It's lovely to see, hear and have conversations in French. Fun movie! With dance music!

" He walks amongst us , brother; he has come back. And he is very angry".
15 October 2005
This Halloween film and Halloween 5 were very interesting from all the rest because, it had something to do with symbolism. It was the symbol of the thorn which causes the person to KILL when a constellation of stars are seen on Halloween nights! The story begins when Jamie (J.C Brandy) had a baby and she had to save it from the murderous brother Michael (George.P.Wilbur) and then she got killed in a barn close to Haddonfield.

Now, a family had moved into the Myers' residence called the Strodes, these were relatives who adopted Laurie when she was a child.A grandmother, mother, father, girl and two boys were living in the house together. They were being watched by a man who lived across the road from the unwary family and he could remember last seeing Michael on October 31, 1978. The man's name was Tommy Doyle (Paul Rudd).

Soon, the family's youngest son Danny (Devin Gardner) was having night mares about the "Boogey Man" and he started to draw thorn symbols on paper. Tommy decided to track down where Jamie's baby was and he discovered it in a bathroom at a train station. He decided to call the baby Stelia.

The detective is now Dr. Winn (Mitch Ryan) because, Mr. Loomis ( Donald Pleasance) had retired. Loomis decided to go over to the Strode's and tell them what happened in the house they were living in. He told the story to Mrs.Debra Strode ( Kim Karby) she was horrified by the story and called up John Strode (Bradford English). Fortunaely, he didn't believe her and not so soon, she was killed by Michael in the courtyard.

When the daughter, Kara Strode (Marianne Hagan) returned home, Debra was nowhere to be found and suddenly, she discovered Danny in his room with Tommy and he brought Danny and his mom over to his place and he explained the story to Kara. Suddenly, Danny saw Michael outside Tommy's window. And when Tommy's mother mentioned to Kara that Michael heard a voice that told him to kill his own family. As this was all happening, Mr. Strode came home and noticed that Debra was nowhere to be found and when he went into the basement; he noticed that the washing machine was on and when he opened it, he pulled out a shirt covered in blood. And then he got pushed into the main power of the house, got stabbed and then he got Electrocuted!!! Oh, I could remember this freaky part when a little girl was dancing under a tree, and her mom noticed blood on her dress and then; this dead body DROPS OUT! Gruesome. And when the oldest son, Tim (Keith Bogart) followed by his girlfriend Mary (Susan Swift) while the mom was watching through Tommy's telescope from his room. And when the mom went into the house to look for Danny because, he went in there, and when he went upstairs, her mom's body drops out of the ceiling and she discovers Tim's and Mary's bodies' under a duvet in Tim's bedroom.

And to end this review, there were some kiff scenes too! When Kara saw Tomy's mom coming after her with a knife; she goes through the window to save herself and when she woke up, she was in a maximum security ward. Another was when Michael went into a surgery room and then, STAB! SHRIEK! HOWL! CRASH! BOOM! BANG! Everyone's dead. And the last one, was a full shot with Michael throwing Tommy across the room in the maximum security ward and when Tommy smacked Michael so hard against his head with fluid squirting from his eye with him screaming so house that it goes through Haddonfield, to the Strode's house, and with a medium shot set on a Jack'O' Lantern which was on the veranda and it went out.

This movie was the last Halloween film that Pleasance stared in when he passed away in the Alpes- Marines in France from the complications from heart valve in surgery. R.I.P Pleasence. You made directors of the Halloween movies PROUD!!!!
