A Magnificent Master Piece for the 2nd time!!!
16 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
HICCUP & TOOTHLESS on a Roll-a-Costa Ride the 2nd time.

The best movie ever made Globally. With lots of twists and turns throughout the movie I bet you will definitely enjoy every bit of it.

From the new addition of cute small Dragons to the Huge ones, this area is worth experience.

Instead of taking time to go through reviews posted here, utilize your time and go for it.

This one doesn't need any recommendations since DRAGON time is back!!! Very colorful, emotional, hilarious and encouraging movie of recent times.

Thanks to Dean DeBlois to gift me this one..... Waiting for 17th Jun 2016 :-)

Chennai Express - The Magic Begins
8 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Ticket Khareed Ke Baith Ja Seat Pe Nikal Na Jaaye Kahin CHENNAI EXPRESS!!!

A good movie to watch out for. SRK lives with his commitment that in all his forthcoming movies his leading lady's name would come before his name. This is not just all, the opening scene itself is mind blowing and so is the cinematography throughout ... WOW is the only way one can describe the experience (for best cinematography experience this movie to be watches either on BIG or SINGLE SCREEN, small multiplex screens and sound effects may not do justice) Though you may not get 100% Rohit Shetty feel but you have SRK and Deepika and their sizzling chemistry throughout. Music and Songs are worth watching especially Kashimir Tu Main Kanyakumari & the one and only song TITLI. Very few but effective action sequences makes the movie interesting. Last 30 minutes of the movie are very well written and projected conveying something soulful. Relax and enjoy the Cinematic Liberty used in this movie!!!

This is not all, please do not leave the seat post the last real to get a BIG SURPRISE.

I would recommend all SRK, Deepika & Rohit Shetty FANS to "Get on the train baby"

A Brave Attempt in today's competitive commercial cinema!!!
21 May 2011
Warning: Spoilers
404 is a story of a medical college and its hostel where there are rumors that the room number 404 is haunted since there was a student named Gaurav who had committed suicide.

With the new semester to start, the new students do follow the college lift followed by ragging.

The story is gripping with a good screenplay. Screenplay is definitely enjoyable; however, the background score could have been softer overall like Ram Gopal Varma's Bhoot for fantastic impact to the story telling (which is a must for such movie).

The characters are very well written and so is the entire storyline.

The production value too is good but what I would like to appreciate more about the movie is the direction. Parwal Raman has done a good job but conceptualizing 404 and replicating its magic on silver screen.

The movie is a psychopath story with a hint of twist in the end with all the Hallucinations taking complete charge of the character Abhimanyu (Rajvvir Aroraa).

Rajvvir Aroraa has acted very well and does not seem to be a new comer. Nishikant Kamath too has done justice to his character of Professor Anirudh and his acting in the last 15 minutes of the movie is definitely worth appreciation. Tisca Chopra and Satish Kaushik too have done justice to their characters but what was most disappointing was Immad Shah (Nasseruddin Shah's son doing a cameo). I was seeing Nasser bhai's replication on screen.

Overall a different story to enjoy and folks, you don't want to miss the climax !!!

Stupendo Fantastically Fantastic Mind blowing - RIO!!!
9 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
What should I say and where do I start from, this is the most difficult question I can ask myself while reviewing this MASTERPIECE - RIO :-).

Talking about this movie makes me smile, satisfies me and makes me feel proud that my decision was absolutely bang on to watch this movie or should I call it BLUE's journey.

The movie starts with a very very cute looking baby Blue who gets caught and is being moved from jungle to human jungle. Every scene of the beginning has been shot very well followed with all the cutest scenes ever in the history of MOVIE MAKING.

Jesse Eisenberg (BLUE's voice), Anne Hathaway (JEWEL's voice), etc etc ... well all is worth appreciating.

I am absolutely flattered with the way all the voice overs have made these characters come to life.

A thorough family entertainer and over and above comparison....

My sincere request to all the IMDb users is to watch this movie at least once and I bet, this will get you back to you childhood.

I don't recollect a single moment while having enjoying "RIO" named pleasure today of not smiling and laughing ....

Words are not enough to praise, Floks! BOOM BOOM BOOM RIO ---- very very well done Mr. Carlos Saldhana.

A FANTASTIC MASTERPIECE !!! NJOY :-)

Patiala House (2011)
6/10
A good entertainer with a nice message
13 February 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Hi Folks! Hope all you readers are doing well and I also hope that this review would be helpful to you.

The most important thing that drew me to the Silver Screen to watch Patiala House was Rishiji, Dimple, Anushka and the song Lashkara. With 13 disappointments in a row from Akshay Kumar, I almost had dropped my plan to watch the movie for him but the above reason surely worked in my favor.

Patiala House is a story of a Sikh family – UK Citizens, living in Mini Punjab - Southall. The Sikhs have a leader named Bauji (Mr. Rishi Kapoor) who is a local dictator. He has a son Gattu (Akshay Kumar) living a miserable life, deprived of his rights to play cricket for England Cricket Team. The movie further leads to his fight to prove to his father that things have changed and the Indian Origin UK Citizens enjoy same rights as UK Origin Citizens.

This movie starts with Gattu narrating his thoughts and the way he leads life. The first half does develop your excitement on how the movie and its characters revolve around each other. Nikhil Advani has done a decent job in the first half where Gattu's character grows and so does Simran's.

You will definitely have smile on your face almost in the entire first half. Certain serious scenes too have been treated very well, especially when a family member calls Gattu his father's loyal dog. On reaching the 2nd half, you do get excited on how the movie would grow further. Here too, Nikhil has done a good job in narrating and creating the excitement where Gattu finally decides to go against Bauji and play for England Cricket Team. But the entire credit goes to all the actors involved in the movie (including Akshay Kumar who has acted well surprisingly) to make this script lively.

The movies looses its charm post the 1st 20 minutes in the 2nd half when the selection criteria starts and when Gattu is showed playing cricket and blowing against Andrew Symonds from Australia. The entire situation that is created by the director is extremely mellow dramatic and could have been much much better. You tend to get bored till the time the movie reaches its climax where Gattu is showed entering the stadium from the stands instead of pavilion. Nikhil had a very good story and one definitely is happy to see such movies being made but when the vision in unclear, you tend to loose control and I strongly feel that this is what happened with Nikhil. He could have treated the end very well where instead of the typical mellow dramatic approach; he could have given the climax more realistic approach. The match portion is okay but not great as was the hockey match situation that was created in Chak De. Though I don't want to compare any movie with Patiala House, I am forced to since somewhere some portions could have been really treated very well and here the director is the most important person involved.

Rishiji, Dimple, Anushka and other actors deserve applaud since they have taken certain scenes to different level of excitement.

The music is good and you would definitely enjoy the visuals of all songs. There are 2 songs that I would urge you all to enjoy to the fullest; Biba and Lashkara.I thoroughly enjoyed both these songs.

On the whole, Patiala House is worth a watch but post the movie, you have this very though that the 2nd have could have been treated much better than it has been. The movie leaves smile on your face when its over.

But I don't want to miss the opportunity to thank Nikhil and the team of Patiala House for making this movie which has a different story, its overall approach and screenplay.

Guzaarish (2010)

Bas Itni Si Guzaarish Hai to Mr. Bhanshali to continue making such movies !!!
20 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I still remember the very first promo of Guzaarish !!! A lot of unanswered questions were raised in my mind which made me uncertain about the movie.

Every trailer and I used to think on what will the movie be all about and one fine day I came to know about the subject making me more uncertain. I doubted how will this be treated and wasn't sure what was Aishwarya doing in Guxaarish.

Finally yesterday Nov 19, 2010 when the movie started @ noon, I kept on thinking what next and got so engrossed that post the first 40 minutes of mind blowing performance by Hrithik Roshan followed with applauding performances by him, Aishwarya and others, the only thing that I remembered was being stunned with Ethan's Guzaarish (so to say SLB's thought).

I might have seen other movies which covered certain special characters (Ethan) but this is truly a very well made masterpiece and deserves applaud with a 12000 surround sound effect – IMAX effect !!! SLB ensured all issues covered and a well thoughtful climax, confident this would leave you stunned too.

Another best part that I would like to shared will you all is that post climax and the final laughter, you might not feel the effect immediately but when you leave the auditorium and think for a minute, you would feel the a Deep Impact of the movie, the characters, performances and the climax !!!! My Guzaarish to all the viewers is please do not expect anything when you go to watch the movie since you need to go through the Guzaarish Experience by yourself.

God Bless SLB and Hrithik !!!

A Magnificent Master Piece !!!
3 November 2010
This movie revolves around a kid HICCUP who wants to kill dragons but due to his weak physic as compared to others, he is always put on the back seat. The boy has a charm and is different from the others around which can be observed when even post trapping a dragon out of excitement during the beginning he is unable to kill him to prove his point and braveness.

Eventually, his father gives him an opportunity to get trained to kill the dragons where on the other hand he gets close to the black dragon that he had captured.

On getting closer, he observes certain characteristics of the Dragon and each observation gives him a learning basis his implementation during his training leaving others surprised.

A bond that develops between HICCUP and the BLACK and CUTE Looking Dragon opens a gateway for the crowd to change their views on Dragons later developing an unbreakable bond for joint survival.

This is one of the best animated movies ever made in the history of Hollywood and thoroughly deserves a humongous round of applause on every sequence.

A Very Very Well made Master Piece !!!
