Edge of your seat drama
3 August 2018
Not since Katharine Hepburn have I seen acting worthy of an Academy Award. How could this movie be over looked? If you beleave that you have not watched this cringing waste of time. One is left to wonder how this movie could get an imdb rating higher than 2. It sounded like a high school production of a poor script. I actually went 30 minutes into this before I started punching my groin to take me out of the trance.

Yawn. Two thumbs down 20 minutes in
17 September 2016
The three star rating was for costume and props. I like when a movie can at least look authentic. Westerns for me , must have things look dirty. It was a dirty frontier, not clean and sweet like Little house on the prairie. Zero stars for acting. Simply put, the Southern/western accents are horrible. Zero stars for screenplay. The use of profanity in a western always kills it for me. Classic westerns have zero profanity compared to modern linguistics. I just roll my eyes and end the movie at this point. Very early on a gesture was made with a gun barrel that was out of date. I stopped watching the movie when a man said "You mother fu¿€ing ¿ocksucker" seriously, this is not the language of a New Mexico Territory circa 1871. For this, Jane's got a gun lacks the authenticity of an old west story. I was interested at first because it had a woman as the protagonist. But the picture as a whole, she could not champion any particular cause or idea. Jane's got a gun reminded me of G I Jane, of all things. A poor attempt to portray a woman as strong or as tough as a man. My time would have been better spent watching grass grow. The flashbacks were unnecessary and ill placed.

Show me were the vomitorium is
10 February 2012
A vomitorium is a passage situated below or behind a tier of seats in an theater, through which big crowds can exit rapidly at the end of a performance. In the case of this movie, during the beginning. I am a DEVO and Neil Young but this was a total waste of talent. This just goes to show you...drugs do not make you more creative. Well I have just spent more time in this review than I did the movie. Anyone rates this above a 1, needs their head examined. Darn, 10 lines of text. Young spent $3,000,000 of his own money on production of this movie. Do people have any idea what 3 million could buy in 1982? 10 lines? OMG, there should be an exception for movies that only need one word...AWFUL!!

No Romance...No Drama
1 March 2011
Romance? Drama? OOOH PLEEEEASE!!!! As far as dramas go, this lacked in every aspect of the genre. The characters were unrealistic not portraying the corporate world but more like department store managers living in a fantasy of having an important job. The life situations may be real but to think real life plays out this way is why little girls grow up and become disappointed in life...this was not real life but fantasies for a trailer trash looser who wants a better life. As soon as you think there is some development and interaction of the characters, this movie spoils it with unlike real life script. I usually come upon scenes in a movie where I say sarcastically "Just like real life" and everyone in the room snaps back to reality and laughs. Every scene in this movie beckoned me to say "Just like real life" A romance? NOT! No emotion or passion. The main characters showed no sign of a romantic, affectionate involvement with each other but centered on a perfect child that never could be found in real life. This was not a journey that love takes through courtship, but a one night stand without the sex. A romance film should make the love story the main plot focus but without the real to life drama, you are left with a failing business being saved by the heroin.

Fantasy is healthy and aids in human development, that is were this movie genre falls into, Fantasy" without true love, feelings or real life situations. Uncorked takes you to that netherworld places where events are unlikely to occur in real life.

Ho Hum
4 February 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I stayed with the movie waiting for a glimpse of real to life theory. I was under the impression , based on the beginning of the movie, that this would bring to life theories that Einstein had with the after life. This movie missed it completely making it a total let down of the magic of SciFi movies. I had to keep adjusting the volume, this always makes me want to slap whoever is in charge of the sound track. You cant hear whispers and the music was way over the top in dB. I as well, walk out of theater when that happens and always get a refund. Very difficult to understand exactly what was happening when he turns on the "infinite-energy machine" Why is it called an infinite-energy machine in the review? This was not a movie about green energy but quantum physics... more confusion. Wait, there is more..."a higher level of consciousness?" Change the title to "Fruit Salad Science"

All Hell Broke Loose (2009 Video)

Was David Carradine broke???
13 January 2011
David Carradine may have appeared in many Classic "B" movies that were enjoyable to watch. A four time nominee for the Golden Globe Award he had to be completely broke to have joined up with Christopher "B flop" Forbes. What a shame after all the good work he did over the years to fizzle out in a wreck of a film.

This is the bottom of the barrel of movie making. no.. better yet, kick the barrel aside a dig underneath is where this high school style acting, ketchup splattering gun shot movie rests.

Christopher "B flop" Forbes wishes he had the talent and style of Ed Wood yet this film proves he is a close runner up to Larry Buchanan (one of the worst filmmakers of all time). "All Hell Broke Loose" was boring and tedious, containing some of the most uninspired acting I've ever seen. It lacks entertainment value despite the fact that a competent director could have probably done a good job with the material. It's a sad fact of life though that directors like Christopher "B flop" Forbes are a necessary evil. If there weren't people doing it wrong, then how would you know who was doing it right?

I think I will go watch a Kill Bill flick to get the taste of this movie out of my head. RIP Mr David "Jack" Carradine

Cinematography? Great! ** Michele Morrow? Great! Does not deserve a Horror listing
1 November 2010
Let me first say that Michele Morrow shows her quality as an actor in this film. She is an A-list potential actor among obscure C-list talent, throughout the firm. Unfortunately she will not earn any points on the Ulmer Scale with this film as it will pass in years unnoticed. Cinematography? 8 stars. Mathew Rudenberg's cinematography keeps this film alive and not looking like a B cult film, that explains why I waited for something to happen. I did have to skip forward in the last quarter of the film.Does not deserve a Horror listing. Nothing frightening in this movie, believe me when I say the quality of fear factor, gore, suspense, shock and awe ...is missing. I can not find a single positive comment to give other than... I highly recommend you spend your time doing anything but watching this movie. Laying on your back in your back yard, trying to look at the stars, on a cloudy night would be more fun than watching this movie.

Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) POOR Storyline
11 September 2010
The 3D was good but not great. Very little zombie killing which was a disappointment. All the good stuff was pretty much what I watched in the trailers. This movie basically played on the idea that the first 3 movies were hits to fans so they add 3D and a poor storyline. I went with all 4 of my boys and we all agreed that the villain acted more like a poor impersonation of Agent Smith (Matrix) less the Carl Sagan voice.

Yes, this is based on a video game but the storyline missed the mark for a 4th movie following 3 epic movies for Resident Evil fans.

It is very hard to review this movie without spoilers, so I will leave it alone and just say I would not see number 5 if it comes out. Yes, this movie will leave you guessing at the end.

This movie does not qualify as a followup to the plots of the first 3 and if you never saw the movie series you will still be disappointed.
