Ying xiong (2002)
Amazing *SPOILERS*
This is one of the best films I've seen in a long time (since Lord of the Rings). The cinematography was awesome, and the story was even better. It had more twists and turns than a maze, but I never got confused. Now that's a first! The acting was wonderful, Jet Li as Nameless was perfect. Even if the fighting is corny, it doesn't matter. It's supposed to be that way. That's what these kind of movies are like. The fighting in this movie was even better than in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (in my opinion anyway). I loved this movie and now I can't wait for more of these movies to come across the Pacific to Canada. Awesome movie!!!

Boa vs. Python (2004)
Really bad... *SPOILERS*
This movie sucks big time. Let me start off by saying the acting was absolutely terrible. Go to acting school. You're worse than Hilary Duff. After you get over the acting the special effects of the snakes are very terrible. I was laughing every time the snakes were on screen. And there are some plot holes too like... the runner of the big snake hunt says he's only inviting the rich and powerful, but dad and son arrive in a station wagon saying "Wife got the truck". That son and dad were the worse actors in this dreadful movie. That's saying something. The only good part of the movie was when that chick in the beginning of the film was washing naked in slow-mo. That was awesome. Other than that this movie sucked big time. Stay away. You'll never get over watching this film if you don't.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
Better than the movie, and the first two games *SPOILERS*
First of all, I played the XBOX version. I think the game is the same on all 3 platforms so this review should be applicable to everyone.
Now, lets break the game down:
Graphics: 9/10
The graphics is this game were very good. They modeled the characters very well from the movie. The graphics though are not groundbreaking though, there just better than average.
Story: 7.5/10
They did a okay job of sticking to the storyline of the book, but some of the events they added to the game were dumb, like saving Neville from the ghoul. There was no point to saving him. And the ending feels like it was rushed for time, like there were some things they were going to add but didn't due to lack of time. That's just my opinion though. Also, you never to get to play Quidditch, which in my opinion is just dumb. Harry Potter is all about Quidditch. Still, the story flowed better than the first two games and the movie, I was never lost at what was happening. I also liked the fact that you could switch between Ron, Hermione, and Harry. This was a great improvement in this game.
Sound: 8/10
Average sound effects, above average music. All in all better than most games. The voices were very good too. Great jobs by the actors.
Some perplexing things about the game though were: why was Buckbeak at Hagrid's hut at the end of the game? (he flew away with Sirius), where was Professor McGonagall during the game? (she showed up once in the final cutscene, she did no speaking), and where's the kitchen's/the other houses common rooms? Just some things that bothered me.
Still a great game worth a rent, maybe even a buy if you're a Harry Potter fanatic. I recommend it to anyone.
OVERALL: 8.17/10
Hellboy (2004)
Great movie, but too long *SPOILERS*
I really liked this movie. Ron Perlman did a great job acting as Hellboy and the story was very good, even if a little too long. The great thing was that it was a very cool action movie, but with a ton of humor to make the movie great. The ending was a little weird, but I thought it was very good still. I mean like, Hellboy could've just killed the Nazi dude as soon as he broke out of the chains but instead he didn't and nearly started the apocalypse of Earth. Still, I loved Hellboy and I hope they make a sequel to follow Hellboy's cool adventures. Some other great Dark Horse movies are Mystery Men and the Mask. Enjoy this great film and look out for it's sequel if this is a big enough hit, which I think it will be.
The 46th Annual Grammy Awards (2004)
Very good, but a little dragged on *SPOILERS*
This was a very good awards show, I especially liked the performance by Andre 3000 when he sung "Hey Ya". The problem is there are just too many awards, there's like 40 awards. Also, I'm sad my favourite band Nickelback didn't win anything. They seriously deserved Best Rock Song ("Someday") and Best Rock Album ("The Long Road"). Also I think 50 Cent was cheated out of best new artist, Evanescence is good but didn't have the impact 50 Cent did. 50 Cent was all over this year and more CD sales than Evanescence. Also he had more hit songs than Evanescence. They should let people choose the winners. Still, a great awards show that I immensely enjoyed, even if a little long.

White Squall (1996)
Boring and Laughable *SPOILERS*
This movie was very, and I mean very, boring. Like seriously, get on with the action. At the end when the captain was leaving the hearing and Guy got up and made that "emotional" speech, it made me laugh, a lot. The actors and actresses were right for the role but I always kept forgetting who people were because they were all in the movie for like 5 minutes, and Guy was barely in the movie at all. Also I didn't know the captain was married to that woman on the ship until the end. The only positive point was when the ship was hit by the white squall, the cinematography was pretty good. This movie is very boring and should only be viewed by those that want to go to sleep.
Rating: 3/10
Something's Gotta Give (2003)
Dumb and unintelligent *SPOILERS*
This movie was very forgettable and if I wanted to go to sleep I would watch this movie. The acting was horrible and two old people doing what they did will give me bad memories for years to come. What was with Keaton's character crying? Was it supposed to be funny. Well, it's not after 5 MINUTES!!! And Keanu Reeves. He's just going to give up Keaton's character because Nicholson's character was still in love? Keanu Reeves never gets the good end of the stick in his movies. Total garbage. The only highlight of this movie was when Nicholson's character was in the hospital and the whole incident with Viagra. I recommend this to anyone needing a sleeping pill because it's a total snooze-fest.
Rating: 2/10
The Simpsons (1989)
Great *SPOILERS*
The Simpsons is the second greatest show ever on television, only Family Guy beats it. The race though is very close. The Simpsons was funny every single time I see it, up until the 15th season. The 15th season is good, but not as good as seasons 1-14. Still, a great show with tons of laughs. My favourite character is Homer, then Bart, then Mr. Burns, followed by everyone else, then Lisa. Lisa is just not funny. She annoys me. Still, keep the episodes coming because "The Simpsons" are great.
Rating: 9/10 (average rating of all the episodes I've seen)
Fromage 2003 (2003)
GREAT "SPOILERS"
This has to be the funniest special ever shown on Much Music, with the possible exception of Fromage 2002. Ed the Sock is the funniest character because he says exactly what needs to be said about these cheesie music videos from crappy artists like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Ed the Sock even gave Justin Timberlake his own category for cheesiest Timberlake video of the year. This show is very funny and I recommend it to anyone looking for a lot of laughs. So get ready for Ed the Sock trashing the year's craptacular videos.
Spike TV VGA Video Game Awards (2003)
Um, okay *SPOILERS*
This awards show was, well, stupid. The previews for it made it look all great, but when I actually watched the show it really let me down. The performances sucked (what was up with that Andrew W.K. guy?) and the actual giving out of awards was pretty stupid, where were the nominations? The games they actually gave out awards are not that good. And that lame wrestling match, what cheese. Boy, I'm disappointed.
Rating: 2/10
Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
Awesome *SPOILERS*
Freddy vs. Jason was awesome. The ending was very cool, but it could have been longer. The special effects were also good and Freddy torturing Jason was awesome. What I wonder though is why Freddy's town (can't remember the name) is back to normal after Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. Everyone in that movie was nuts in the head, now all of a sudden the town is back to normal. Weird. Also, *MAJOR SPOILER* (you've been warned) I'm disappointed Jason "won". I think Freddy winning would have been better. Still, an awesome fast-paced horror movie that I really enjoyed.
Rating: 8/10
Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003)
It has it's moments *SPOILERS*
This movie is good if you're in the mood to watch a movie where you don't have to think. The whole reason that Dickie goes to live with the family is absurd, but once he gets there the movie has it's funny moments. Still, I liked all the child star cameos and other cameos like Jay Leno, plus the music in the movie was pretty good. David Spade was the perfect man to play Dickie Roberts and the other actors did great jobs as well. Still, I enjoyed the movie.
Rating: 7/10
The 6th Day (2000)
Good, but I'm confused *SPOILERS*
First of all I liked this movie. The movie made sense all the way to the end, that's when things got hazy. Like, why wasn't the clone of Arnold Schwarzenegger killed? Still, I enjoyed this futuristic movie because the story was great and the acting was also very good. Arnold was perfect for his role. This movie made me think about cloning, and I have to say I have no objections to cloning. This movie was good but the ending made the movie not as great as it could have been.
Rating: 7/10
Battlefield Earth (2000)
Loved this movie, but a few goofs *SPOILERS*
I loved this movie. The starting had me hooked. John Travolta was perfect for the alien security chief and Barry Pepper was also good in his role. There were a few goofs though that had me thinking like how did they get the nuke on the teleporting platform and why wasn't Barry Pepper's character dead after being shot at while he was running in a straight line for like a minute? Still, a great movie that I personally enjoyed even if no one else did.
Rating: 8/10
Family Guy (1999)
Greatest show ever made *SPOILERS*
This show is so great, I've seen all 50 episodes. The show is so funny, it's great how they make fun of about anything. Stewie is the funniest character on the show, followed closely by Peter, then Chris, then Lois, then Meg. What Stewie says is so funny. The funniest episode is "I am Peter, Hear Me Roar". I recommend this to anyone who's looking for a lot, and I mean a lot, of laughs.
Rating: 9.5/10 (average rating)
Spider-Man (2002)
Good movie *Spoilers*
This movie was awesome the first time I saw it, but when you watch it again you can pick apart the movie. First of all, the wrestling promoter should know who Spider-man really is and all the people at that festival should be able to identify Spider-man because he tore his shirt off in the middle of everyone. Still, the special effects were awesome and the story was very good so the movie wasn't all bad. Good movie with big plot holes. A better comic-to-movie adaptation to watch is Daredevil or X2.
Rating: 7/10
Planet of the Apes (2001)
Good, but somethings missing *SPOILERS*
This movie was good all the way through, but it didn't have the "feeling" to make it excellent. The plot kind of dragged on in the middle but on a positive note the costumes were great. I didn't get the ending though because how did General Thade get to Earth? Well, I'm confused. Oh well, the movie was still good. A note, I didn't see the original.
Rating: 8/10
Resident Evil (2002)
Awesome *Spoilers*
This movie is very, very good. The make-up job for the zombies was awesome and the special effects for that weird animal thing/the killer dogs was exceptional as well. The story was fast-paced and exciting plus the ending made me want to see Resident Evil: Apocalypse (it's sequel) due out in 2004. One thing that made this movie fall from a 10 to a 9 though was the starting was very confusing, making me think I missed part of the movie, even though when you see the rest of the movie it all makes sense. I loved this movie.
