Cash Out (2024)
Movie Stars don't do Low-Budget B Movies. AND John Travolta knows better!
Why, why, why? Why is the great John Travolta in a B-movie?
How does an actor that gave us:
1. 1994 Pulp Fiction
2. 1997 Broken Arrow
3. 1999 Swordfish
4. 2003 Basic
5. 2010 From Paris with Love
end up in a B-movie?
The movie reeks low-budget.
Possible reasons:
A. Mr. Travolta lost a bet.
B. Mr. Travolta was blackmailed into making the movie.
C. Mr. Travolta has suffered some catastrophic financial setback.
D. Mr. Travolta is abusing drugs.
E. Mr. Travolta has suffered some kind of mental breakdown.
I am pleading for any family member or any close friend of Mr. Travolta to stage an intervention.

Don't Waste Your Time > Straight to Audio!
Despite the movie's $80 Million dollar budget, this movie is painful to watch. Not even all the stunts & special effects in the movie could save it.
This movie should come with several mandatory warnings.
1. Bad acting
2. Bad dialogue (writing)
One cannot escape the feeling that prior to shooting the movie, the writer(s) and actors decided to bet on who could F'up the movie the most.
My vote goes to... the actors. With their wooden performances and unsympathetic characters, I started voting for the bad guy early on. Actually, Mr. Tahar Rahim did a decent job given what he had to work with.
If you decide to watch the movie, you have 1 hour & 54 painful minutes to endure. Keep the remote close by and perhaps a decent bottle of wine or scotch.

Death and Other Details (2024)
Death and Other Details Rocks!
Love DAOD.
I have read the criticisms. I really don't get what some people are whiny about. Spoiler alert: sorry no car chases or things blowing up. For the haters, I respectfully suggest maybe watching Fast & Furious 21+ is more their style.
I suggest if people pay attention to the details, they will see how well-crafted the whodunnit is. You may have to watch an episode twice to see the clues, but it is worth it.
Mandy is great as always. Violett B. Definitely shows her potential. Looking forward to Season 2.
PS. For those who don't like DAOD, please watch the painfully boring, ham-fisted acting of Only Murders in the Building.

The Jewel Thief (2023)
A tragic wasted life
A sad story of a talented boy who failed to grow up and evolved into a talented, selfish, angry man-child.
The documentary's celebration of a lifetime of lying, cheating and stealing is misguided. The video clips of his adopted mom document the years of pain and heartbreak he caused her.
One cannot help but wonder if during his teenaged years, a positive role model in his life might have saved him. He could have been an amazing engineer...
Finally, the legal system's treatment of him demonstrates how the legal system contributes to criminal careers / activity.
All that talent. Such a waste. Sincerely, JTS.
