Henry is a self absorbed narcissist. He knowingly manipulates situations to achieve his ambitions. Whilst somehow convincing the others around them that was what they wanted, even though the subject matter in its inception was everything but the actual outcome.

Why are the parents so stupid and oblivious to common sense. Also encourages lying and being dishonest to family members.

Even for a children's show this is mind numbing... Their owner is an idiot and is somehow incapable of dealing with simple everyday obstacles. So his puppies have to solve all his problems for him. Therefore no real human growth is ever developed. They make human experiences seem trivial so long as someone does the work for you and you're none the wiser. Ignorance is not bliss it's dangerous.

While the entertainment and spoken education is okay... The Dynamics of mermaid children underwater completely ignore the laws of physics and reality. So it undermines its own education in a way. I find myself more often than not, having to explain to my daughter why rhinos don't normally have fins or that dogs cannot breathe in water... If you don't care about these details then I'm sure you'll like it. But I can't...

Be prepared to have your expectations for the film, met. And your expectations for how poorly the crowds will behave around you, dismally disappointing. This movie would be perfect if it weren't for the obnoxious fans.
