Fantastic

Mission - To assassinate a top ranking Nazi Officer, Reinhard Heydrich. Not many films leave me feeling this much emotion.. so much so, I felt the need to write my 2nd review in around 5 years! I thought the casting was an interesting choice and Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan didn't disappoint but I really loved Anna Geislerova. Although most of the action is towards the end of the film, the lead up to the events gave a good insight to the characters which I find some films lack as they are too busy concentrating on special effects, rather than getting to know the characters. . I found myself holding my breath on many occasions! A truly gripping finale and I will definitely be watching this again.

Revenge is Sweet!

As an avid fan of QT, I was not disappointed with this movie.

I thought it was fantastic how he could combine many different elements, B&W, colour, Cartoon in one movie without making it seem sloppy was genius!

The exaggeration of gore was absolutely fantastic. It was like a blood fest but without the total seriousness of it all (although the faint hearted might disagree).

Fantastic casting (as you would expect!!).

The only thing that I would say is that it did not necessarily have to be done in 2 parts. Obviously it was a money thing but then again maybe it was too "blood and gore" for one sitting.

How to get ahead at work!
7 June 2004
I really thought that this film was good.

Kevin Spacey plays a film executive(Buddy) but he is also the boss from hell. He treats everyone below him with complete and utter contempt - in particular his new assistant (Frank Whaley) Guy. He thinks that he is teaching Guy valuable lessons on how to get ahead in the film world but how much humiliation, abuse and insults can a human being take before before they snap? Well Guy does snap and Buddy all of a sudden is on the receiving end of the abuse........

I'm sure that we can identify that we have all had less desirable bosses in the past and it does give me some satisfaction that payback is given to those bosses - even if it is only in the movies!

Amazing Shampoo Bottles!!

A completely refreshing short movie that is able to combine many different emotions in 20 minutes!

Working on the night shift in Sainsbury's, the movie shows how all the staff manage to pass the time to cope with the boredom of an 8 hour work shift.

Each with a completely different view on doing this which range from a meat counter, dairy products, plasters, shampoos and a unique imagination that will have you in rumination one minute, flustered the next and then laughing the other.

A brilliant performance from all actors/actresses.

I can't help but smile when I go shopping at Sainsbury's late at night...

Edge of your seat thriller!
30 May 2003
Feeling sorry for an old hitchhiker who seems to be struggling in the pouring rain, a young woman decides to pick up the old lady after having just heard on the news that a woman had been found dead. She soon gets the creeps about the old lady and tries to get her out of the car by pretending that she has a flat tyre and then speeds away. The events that take place in the next 8 minutes or so will have you gripped to the edge of your seat with an ending that will leave you shocked! Superb acting and cast done it justice!
