Limitless (2015–2016)

They destroyed the show
8 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Why? WHY?!! The movie Limitless was obviously great. When I watched the pilot of this show I first thought, OK, the guy who provides the pill to the main character dies ... uhm ... I've seen this before where? Ah, yes, in the movie Limitless. But OK, I can let that one slide.

The pilot was decent enough and I really enjoyed the fact that Bradley Cooper was in it also. But here is pretty much where it ends. There are 3 episodes out now and they managed to destroy the great potential this show could have. It's just another consultant to the police ... How many shows like that are there? Bottom line, the story is ridiculous at times (like with the Genghis Khan) and it just isn't what I (and for sure many others) hoped it would be. Such a shame.

A great surprise

Warning: Spoilers
When I picked this show out to watch, I haven't even payed attention that it was Nolan's creation. I guess I should. This is definitely one of those shows I will keep watching.

The plot is very interesting; two guys team up to help people before they get murdered. One of them built a 'machine' for the US gov, but he doesn't have full access to it anymore, so all info they get about who is in trouble is just social security number. For all skeptics out there; I do see how this may be strange - how could one machine predict this. Then again it may be not so far from reality. After all computers can already measure the level of stress in your voice, they can detect certain 'dangerous' words and out them together, they can analyze your facial expressions, etc. So it's not (total) Science fiction. In any case, it's worth watching.

Epic End
13 July 2011
Even though I consider myself to be a huge HP fan I never thought I would actually give a movie from this series straight 10 out of 10. Just saw the movie today and the word epic is almost an understatement. This movie really lives up to the promises that have been made. Further more it is (in my opinion at least) the movie that stays most loyal to the book. I did miss some scenes from the book yet nothing relevant was left out. I don't want to give out any spoilers 'cause I don't want to ruin it for you but if you have read the book it will be very easy to follow and if not - well I think it still makes sense most of the time. I highly recommend you to watch it whether you're a fan or not. 10/10

Almost Perfect
26 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is in my opinion the best movie of the series so far (yes, I think it's better than Deathly Hallows; Part 1). And yet I was very disappointed when first watching it. Basicaly I missed just two things: A – there could show more Harry's brilliance at potions classes (although the one scene that did show it was really good) and B – the memories regarding Tom Riddle; the one at the Gaunts, the one at Hepzibah Smith and the one with Voldemort and his uncle Morfin. I feel those memories are crucial to the story (ironicaly Dumbledore said something very similar) and would also be really interesting. This is in fact the one thing that's keeping this movie from being the best one of the series. I was hoping they included those scenes in the Extended Edition and I was disappointed again when I realized they didn't. I find it perfectly logical that not all scenes from the book can be in the movie. Those of you who are making lists of what was in the book but wasn't in the movie are a little bit, forgive me, ignorant. It's quite obvious that not ALL scenes can be in the movie. In fact of course lots of them can't and won't be. Where you do get confused is when they make scenes that not only weren't in the book but are completely irrelevant to the story. Nevertheless this movie NEEDS to be watched.

9 out of 10.

Decent Harry Potter Movie
26 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
**SPOILER ALERT** First I would like to apologize for my bad English and possible misspelling. Anyway ... As so many people before me I have read all the books of the Harry Potter Franchise. This particular movie captures almost everything that is essential to the story. I must say that even though late Richard Harris was an outstanding actor (Gladiator, The Count of Monte Cristo ...) I still feel that Michael Gambon is better as Dumbledore. I certainly like the new outfit - Dubledore seems much more elegant. You can notice that Hogwarts is also changed and looks much less fairy tale-like. It is logical that it's practically impossible to capture all the book scenes in one movie. What bothers me most was the scene in the Shrieking shack. It's quite different from the one in the book and I just can't understand why. I think it would be much better if Lupin returned the wands to three young wizards after disarming them and after that Sirius and him would start to explain the real story. Those may be details but in my opinion important ones.

Bottom line - this movie is great and certainly worth watching. One of the best Harry Potter movies. I give it 9 out of 10.
