There is a theme, but only a hint of plot. Lot of landscape and stretched out scenes. Superman's mustache level cgi, which wasn't even necessary. Awful ending.

There is not much in the script but obviously producers wanted it to be 2 and a half hours long, so they stretched it every way possible. Overuse of slow-motion, unnecessary angles, you name it. It could be an okay zombie flick, if it was 30 min shorter. With this editing, its just unbearable.

Director's cruelty on animals, casts a shadow on his otherwise great film.

This is the most upvoted movie by the imdb community an a few other polls. it is a masterpiece and a must watch nothing less. i see people saying it is the best movie of all time. well it is not. to major motion picture organizations and critics it is not even the best of 1994.
