Mankatha (2011)
Mankatha- Failed to gamble
The story revolves around gangsters who wants to steal the bet money of a cricket tournament, the organisers will plan to store the money in a theatre at mumbai. But the gangsters plan to rob the money with the help of a guy who is working in that theatre.
One of the hero who is a suspended police men joins the gang and plan to steal the money saying that we need to rob the money on the way itself.
I wonder how we change containers using cranes at a bypass road in a check post... Its very childish attempt from the director and unnecessary bike stunts and car stunts spoils the pace of the movie.
the second half was very dragging and atlast we will come to know that the suspended police men along with another police officer stealed the money by killing all the others in the gang....
The second half makes the audience to lose their patience.
As a whole Mankatha failed to gamble the hearts of people and its yet another flop for actor ajith
Velayudham (2011)
Velayutham- Vetri Aayutham
The movie starts with Terrorists introduction at Pakistan afghanistan border and from the starting itself the screenplay moves in good pace. Then, bomb blasts and all happens in the city with the help of Local home minister, Genelia as a Journalist, she has done a fantastic job and she adds weightage to the screenplay.
She writes as about a hero and warns the terrorists and that becomes the talk of the town.
Once her dream character comes in real she doesn't wants to miss the opportunity and convinces him to be the Hero. He refuses initially and accepts it later. Then the movie starts going in a different track.
Santhanam as Speedu does a gud job in making everybody to laugh out loud.
The main plus point of the film is its characters. Director Raja had chosen fantastic artists for several characters and that makes the movie more crisp.
Hansika as a village girl, does a decent job and some comic actions too.
Saranya Mohan has done a wonderful job as Velayutham's sister.
Vijay is Velayutham, undoubtedly he is the man of masses. Dance comes easily for him, Action sequences was awesome and sentimental scenes are worth a mention too.
As a whole Velayutham fights against the evils and won at the end.
Its a 100% family entertainer and will be another blockbuster in Vijay's career.
